Memorial Day Weekend in StG!!

After a couple months in "quarantine" we were OVER THE MOON excited to head to StG for Memorial Day weekend.  It was truly such a nice break from all the crazy that's been going on in the world.  Always so fun to spend time with Gma and Papa too!!!  We packed our bikes and made it a priority everyday to get out and ride some trails.  We tried a new one that was suggested to us this time and it ended up being a blast.  A tad challenging on the way up, but more fun than the best roller coaster on the way down.  Overall, it was an awesome weekended get-away!!!

The pumps were empty on one day and B was loving it!

The boys are getting so brave which I love but it also scares me to death.

So glad we had Madison home to enjoy it with us.  Dad even bought her a bike!

Love this biker gang of mine more than they'll ever know!!!!

The big 4-5 for Mama!!!

I joined Camryn and had a quarantine birthday this year.  I was expecting nothing and totally fine with it.  But, Brian and the girls weren't having that and made it a pretty awesome day!  The truth is, all I want is my family around for my bday and I got that.  My dream came true!!!  Having Bri and my kids with me is more than I could've hoped for during all this insane chaos.  I felt so incredibly blessed and always will with them in my life!

Besides all the yummy treats( all of my faves), my favorite gift was a roll of TP.  Nobody will ever forget 2020 and the TP situation.  It was epic.  We had a family rule to grab ANY if you saw it in a store during Corona.  Our storage room overfloweth and I loved it!!!  Happy birthday to me......and who's 45???? Are we celebrating my moms birthday????  Yikes! Haha

Camryn Turns 15!!!!

Camryn turned 15 during a worldwide pandemic and she wasn't super thrilled about it.  I felt horrible, but we tried our best to make her feel special and loved.....because she is!!!  She was planning to get her drivers permit like the other girls did, but no DMV's were open.  It was a pretty tough pill to swallow but she took it all like a champ.  We did manage to get dinner as a family and then cake, ice cream and a few gifts!
Happy 15 year old

Love my baby girl.  Yes, she'll always be my baby girl Camryn.....even though you are officially taller than me and have been for a while

I love you.  You are sweet and sassy and thoughtful and fun.  Thank you for loving me even though I may drive you crazy.....

SO glad all my baby girls were home to help celebrate!!!
They are best of friends even when they forget and drive each other crazy.  I love them so much!

15 years of loving this beauty

Many stores were completely closed by the time her day came around.  Luckily I was inspired and did a little shopping in StG a few weeks before.  Ugh.  Nothing like trying to buy bday gifts in the middle of the world closing.
Love you so much Camryn.  I'm betting your 16th bday will be a bit more exciting and memorable......although I highly doubt you'll ever forget your 15th.  Thank you for adding so much happiness and laughter to our family!!!!

Hermana McCune is home from Ecuador!!!

What ride Madison had in Ecuador.  After working through some pretty intense homesickness and mission life adjustments, Corona hit and she was in quarantine.  For 2 weeks she couldn't leave her apartment and we just sat here on pins and needles waiting to hear if/when she'd come home.  It was not fun at all.....for any of us.  My mama heart was breaking for her and it finally got to the point that we just wanted her home.  The world was pretty much shutting down due to the pandemic and we wanted our girl home.  We got news 2 days before she'd be coming home.......March 29th was the day!!!  I scrambled to get some things together to welcome her and followed my gut and bought t-shirts for all of us to wear!!!  It was a sad/joyous reunion all in one.  Madison was SO heartbroken to leave Ecuador and the people she loved so much.  She was feeling so confident with the language and truly loved the culture.  But, with all things considered, it just wasn't safe/responsible for her to stay.  All of the foreign missionaries were being sent home.  It was so crazy!!!

SO grateful I was able to get a sign made just in time.  Came in the mail the day before she got home

Her siblings missed her and made the cutest signs.  Coles was the winner by thanking  Covid-19 for bringing his sister home

Picking her up was weird.  SO different than we imagined and so many restrictions
Our car was decked out

Our girl walked out alone with some other missionaries and my heart about burst
That initial embrace after not having her around for 6 months was the best!!!

SO much love!!!
We were so happy to have her back!

We are better together!!! The boys were happy to have their sister home

I can't tell you the absolute JOY I felt taking this picture.  All I ever want is for my babes all together.  My heart was so full
So proud of this girl!
And then we decided to make some noise and celebrate!!!!  I couldn't love these pictures more.  A party at the McCune?  Shocker! ;)

It was a crazy ride for the 6 months of her "first" mission.  She was so tough and pushed through more than I ever thought she could.  She was an example to all and we were SO proud of her!!!!!
