I Belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
I LOVE being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! You know what's coming up?! General Conference!!!! I love General Conference!! It's so exciting to me to think that Church members from all around the world will be gathering to hear council from the great leaders of the Church. I love the spirit I feel. I love the testimonies that are shared. I love the power the hymns bring to each session. I love the humble prayers that are offered. I love seeing and hearing the brethren... and sisteren (hehe ;)). I love everything about it. I am so excited and I can't wait for Saturday 10:00 a.m. to come! I'm especially excited about this Conference because they're showing a special documentary on the Provo MTC between the Sunday sessions (I think it's the Sunday sessions). I'm taking mission preparation for institute and that's what my teacher said, along with facts like: more cereal is consumed there than anywhere else and they give more haircuts than any other barbershop in the world. Go figure. I'm so so super excited!! I really, REALLY want to serve a mission. I can't even tell you. I just love the gospel so much. It would be so selfish of me to not share my knowledge of the gospel with others. Side story: It relates, don't worry. So, this July I have the opportunity to be in the Hill Cumorah Pageant (excited!!). So, two hours before the deadline I was scrambling to finish my application. (I wasn't procrastinating, I had just heard about it.) One of the questions asked why I thought I should be part of the pageant. I was at a loss. I've never done anything like this. So I decided to respond with my testimony. It's simple, but "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Then I went on comparing the gospel to food. You're probably thinking, "what the?!" but let me explain. When I have food that is bombin' (like the Seafood Brodetto from Olive Garden) I have to share it! I can't keep something so good to myself. I want others to have it and experience the joy it brings. That's how I feel about the gospel. Everyone needs a taste. So that's what I want to do. Give the world the taste of joy. This song helps explain how I feel about the gospel. It is wonderful! I can't even describe it. It brings me happiness, comfort, excitement, encouragement, confidence. The list goes on. Watch out world! Sister Jensen is coming!! Too bad I have to wait until November to even start my papers...
