My reason for the lack of blogging (its good, don't worry)

Dear Blogger Friends and Family,

We have recently moved and settled into a new home! everything unpacked and organized, with the exception of one room..... the office!! and in order for me to get that unpacked I need to purchase some shelving and storage containers..... (just haven't gotten around to it) for this reason we have not yet turned our internet on because I do not feel like trying to maneuver through this crap to get on line!
This being the reason I have not blogged in a while and probably will not for a while longer please be patient with me =) I shall return!

(I can not even open both doors) ha!

Here are the kiddos just after bath time =)

Love you all! wish me luck on getting my space cleared out!

Jadyns First Haircut

I have been contemplating for quit some time now about cutting Jadyn's hair.
When we are home it is usually down and straggly, when we would go out we would always style it however our hearts desired! She even had names for her hair dos! The SHREK, The Mickey Mouse, The Donkey BUTT?? (Don't ask where she got that one lol. I have no idea ha ha! she just said it one morning when I asked her what she wanted) Princess, curls, ect... but it was also thinner at the ends so we finally decided to just go ahead and do it! I miss her hair I ALMOST got emotional! lol. I had to keep reminding myself I was being one of those "annoying moms" at the salon who were way to attached to their child's hair. If all else fails IT'LL GROW BACK!!
We like it so far! I have just styled it down haven't really tried doing anything fancy yet. but I am sure we can figure some cute styles out!

We cut SEVEN inches off!

And of course we have to sneak in a picture of KOSTERZ!!

LIFE.....

UGH...... (DEEP BREATH!)
.............

LIFE has its trials as everyone knows..
LIFE is GOOD life is BAD life has its ups and downs.
Some go through more in a year then some go through in a lifetime.
Some people wonder why they are here, others wonder what we would do without them :)

I have a good LIFE... There are parts of my life I wish I could change, redo or relive.
There are parts in my life I wish I could share with everyone, but am lucky enough to keep it to myself :)

I have a WONDERFUL FAMILY and could not be who I am today without them.
I thank everyone in my LIFE for what they have contributed (good or bad) to how MY LIFE is today.

Be grateful for what LIFE gives you. Everything can change SO fast!

I love my LIFE and the people in it!
.........

(now for the hard part)

Young, FUN, daring & CARING!!

Tonni has the BIGGEST heart!
She would never hurt you, and will always help you.

....(MY side of the story)....

July 15th 2006 was Tonni's 19th birthday!
her boyfriend (at the time) Dan, Kyle & I
decided it was a brilliant idea to get Tonni
a longboard as a gift!
(little did we know.....)

The fallowing night (July 16th 2006)
Tonni rode her longboard to some friends
house
to do hair and hang out...
it was a little before midnight when she decided it was late
and she needed to head home so she could wake up early and do m
ore hair the next day!
(absolutely no intention of going for a midnight cruise on her new longboard)

In the mean time Just a few miles away
Kyle, Kip & I, sound asleep in bed. (I hate this)

Early the next morning (July 17th 2006) Kyle is at wo
rk,
I am sitting at the table sorting a bag of jewelry and hair accessories I just purchased,
Kip is still sound asleep.. (To who's surprise:))

I receive a phone call.. no one at the other end (weird, I hate that)
so I hang up.. a moment later, same number calls again,
so I ignore it... This time a voicemail.
I pick up the phone and dial my inbo
x
only to hear.. Robyn this is SGT. (so n' so) if you could give me a call back ASAP.
I IMMEDIATELY call Kyle to see if he is okay (while walking out to my car
to make sure its not stolen or something) Kyle answers and is fine. My next instinct is to call Tonni
(all before returning the call to the Sargent)
To my surprise on Tonni's end of the line is SGT. So n' So...
My first thought is Tonni is in Jail and needs bailed out...

Was I wrong...

He introduced himself, said he got my number from Dan
(the last number dialed from Tonni's phone)
And proceeded to say that Tonni was in a longboarding accident
and was in critical condition in the ICU at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
I rushed to Kips room to wake him
(while still on the phone)
I yelled "Kip!! Tonni is in the hospital GET
UP!!"
the SGT was still talking I remember hearing his voice but couldn't tell you what he said
everything was so numb!

Driving to the Hospital we tried contacting my parents and siblings
but nothing, no one would answer I was in such a panic!!!
My dad was in California for work, My mom was in meetings...
Now, in my head I pictured her with a broken leg maybe stitches c
uts and scratches,
but nothing TOOOO serious.....

Boy was I wrong!!

we walked in to her hospital room to find a porcelain doll...
Just laying there nothing moving but her chest from small assisted breaths.

Around 5am
Someone (we don't know who) called in on their way to work and reported a dead body,
on the side of the rode, near a field close to their house.

(FIVE AM!!
she left at midnight, my mind just boggles! how long was she laying there?
Who did what? how is she still alive?? how long WILL she still be alive!!)

Tonni was taken in as a JANE DOE until a neighbor found her phone in their yard.

She was taken in with SEVEN broken ribs, a punctured lung, skull fractures, brain hemorrhage,
coma, broken eye socket, and a broken collar bone.
Tonni had absolutely NO exterior cuts scrapes or bruises (other than her killer black eye)
We all thought that was kind of strange..

(if you even slip on a stationary longboard your bound to get some time of exterior marks)

A Doctor (who was not Tonni's Doctor) was on duty paid us a visit,
looked at her charts and info and very concerned said there is NO WAY this is a longboarding accident!
it is very much fal-play (spelling??) He said someone may have hit her with a car but that would still leave her with exterior scrapes... as bruises started appearing he noticed a pattern caused from something solid like a bat or metal poll or something like that....

The field where she was found was a mile or 2 the OPPOSITE direction of her house
and to get to where she was you would have to go up and around or down and around
from where she was coming from....
That totally left us all for concern, when we knew she was tired and wanted to go straight home.
why would she go for a ride BY HERSELF in the middle of the night?
The only explanation was she was DUMPED for DEAD in a field... :(

Its hard to imagine the Shock and pain you go through, until you have gone through something like this.
to me, it is equal to a death! I don't want to sound selfish to those of you who have experienced a death of a loved one, because I had not (at that point).
You see you sister LIFEless while they are telling you to plan for a funeral.....??

Thank HEAVENS for BLESSINGS!
Tonni received an amazing blessing from my dad!
and another a few days later from my uncle Blaine.

After a couple of days she was in and out of a coma,
she was pinching fingers in response to what we were saying to her.
Day THREE (I think) She said "ya" to ME!! lol
They were sponge bathing her, her bed was elevated 30% then pillows on top of that, they had her flipped over to her stomach lol she was bent like a horseshoe lol she starts screaming/moaning in discomfort so I removed the pillows and said is that better? and she whispers "ya..." lol! I was ECSTATIC!! everything started improving from there! it went from pinching your finger to taking her first few steps again!
it was more exciting then watching your own kid take their first steps and speaking their first words!!

After TEN days in the ICU critical care
TWO weeks in neurology ICU.....

Poor Kipper had just joined the Marines and
left for boot camp before she could talk or walk or anything!!
It was super hard for him leaving knowing his sister was in such critical condition.

She spent the remainder of her FIVE week sentence in the rehab/physical therapy unit!
Where she could talk, walk (kind of lol) shower (assisted) eat what she wanted and was almost a normal person... other than she couldn't remember crap!!
She knew who her family was and at that point that's all that mattered.

She also kept mentioning a "DREAM" she kept having of someone dragging her through a field... :(
(This all before she even had a clue why she was there, we never told her anything until she had been out for quite awhile)

Just some funny stories of Tonni's multiple healing personalities while in the hospital:
ONE of her stages was what I like to call a "RANDOM STAGE" she would just say the weirdest things!!
She was looking kind of glum, we asked her "Tonni whats wrong?" She replies "I am sad for today my CAT and my BIRD died..." WHAT??? (she has NEVER had a cat or a bird lol)
Then same thing "What's wrong Tonni?" "My Tooth brush caught on fire today"
When she was in rehab and starting to kind of know what was going on we would tell her some of her stories of stuff she said or did while in the ICU and General care.
I told her about what she said about the toothbrush and she gives me a puzzled look and says "It must have been electric huh?" ha ha!

I was visiting her one day in rehab (the first day they let me come to rehab, they told us we couldn't visit at all for 2 or 3 days which was HELL after being by her side 100% of the time up until that point!) her nurse walks in and says "Hi Tonni My name is Melanie I will be your nurse today.." Tonni says "Hi, Whats your name? are you knew here?" the nurse says My name is Melanie and I have not worked since you have been here so I am new to you. Tonni says "oh, this is my sister Robyn whats your name?? lol My Name is Melanie I will be your nurse today Hi Melanie This is Robyn my sister.... is it okay if I call you MELLI??? lol!!

She also went through a raging rage stage!!! that was towards the middle of her ICU stay and beginning of her general care stage she would rip tubes out break devices that were connected to her (she even tried yanking her cathider (spelling?) out!! it mostly just hurt the crap out of her! the look on her face after she did that was pricless!!
She would say the most random stuff! One time my grandma (Janet) was sitting next to her bed and she had more visitors in the room then normal and everyone just happened to stop talking at the same time so it was quiet, she looks around and yells "WELL F*$K!! lol ummm... Tonni Grams is right next to you lol!

My friend Lana came in to give her massages while she was in the ICU to help the circulation and what not this was before she could hardly talk... Lana got done with both legs and stops, Tonni just opens her eyes just a slight (as wide as they would go) and lifts up her leg again (hinting she wanted more lol) :)

After a long 5 weeks she got to come home (to my moms)
And was back to normal..... kinda.... okay not really lol.

It was really about a year before she was really truly normal again.
If you didn't know her before you may have thought nothing of it but her family could tell that who ever did this left her for dead! took our lil TON TON and replaced her with someone else!!

I am so glad that she has made a full recovery physically and mentally if you ask me today she is 150% better than she was even before the TRAUMA!
Thank you to so many people in her LIFE today who have helped her get to where she is now and will continue helping her become more and more of a beautiful, wise, successful person today!!

I love you Tonni Harris so FREAKIN much and am sooooo freakin happy to have your cheerful self in my LIFE today!!!

This has brought my already close family even closer and I am thankful for that!!

if you have stories to add to this feel free to comment! I will probably come back at a later time and add to it for journaling reasons! I have already forgotten so much!! I think the trauma effected all of our brains!!

I tried SOOO hard to post this on the actual anniversary date (July 17th) but its been so crazy around here!

July over load!!

We have been super busy and things have been way crazy around here!
And yes we are STILL at my dads house!

It is AUGUST and Kyle said til AUGUST so YAY!!
the house hunt is on... (as if it ever wasn't lol) but officially now!

here are a few pictures of what we did in JULY!!

We were still carless. Since Kyle was taking mine to work
after he wrecked the jeep.
So we walked lots of places.

This park is just up the road about a mile so we walk there lots!

Jadyn all dressed up and ready to walk to the park..
(she pushes her own little stroller there most the time :))

Koston playing around and swinging he had so much fun!!
and was laughing so hard!!

Jadyn taking a break to blow us some bubbles!

This is how we roll.....
I feel it pointless to take the double stroller when Jadyn walks
but this time she ended up not feeling well,
she was complaining of it being to cold and it was 90 DEGREES!
sure enough poor girl had a fever when we got home!

A few days later we went camping with my Dad and Kathy...

she found this utility ribbon stuff and thought she needed it in her hair!

Jadyn & her cousin Chance
Chasing Squirrels and butterflies!

Then we had some fun on the water!!
She does this "no emotion" thing!
regardless of how much fun she is having she does this...
its so funny!!!

I mentioned something about Tonni having a birthday to Jadyn
(a few days to early)
She immediately got super excited and starts singing happy birthday
and says...
"AND WE COUNT TO THREE AND WE BLOW OUT THE MICKEY MOUSE CANDLES!!!"
lol it was hilarious!!
We have never even been to a Mickey Mouse birthday so I dont know where she got that.

But for Jadyns sake I thought we would make Tonni a cake!
One for Tonni and one for Tonni that is really for Jadyn ha ha!

Here is Jadyn making the cake then taking a break to see the new baby chicks!
(I promise we washed our hands Tonni)

Here she is decorating her "Mickey Mouse" cake
She seriously ate more frosting then the cake got!!

More decorating....
(and LOTS of sprinkles)

Her finished product!!
I am so proud of her!!!
......

One of my very best friends Michelle and I decided to make Tonni
a cake that was a little more mature lol!! or NOT! ha ha
This cake for as simple as it looks... literally took us like FIVE hours lol!
we probably goofed off half that but still! I didnt go to bed til THREE!
I had never used fondant before and I was really pleased with the way it turned out!
Michelle did the tuff work of rolling it out ha ha!! while I just watched her do that part :)
What took the longest I think was making sure everything was symmetrical
and I hate this picture because it looks crooked
and believe me pictures do not do justice for this bombshell!

We went to Tonni's work and surprised her with our cakes!!
I think we "surprised" the whole salon when we revealed my cake for her :)
We sang to her and got to blow out Mickey Mouse candles!!
this made for one exciting day!

Afterwards we went to lunch,
then decided to have a birthday party (with out Tonni)
@ build a bear in gateway mall.

Also got our water on!

It was a very fun (tiring) day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONNI!
(July 15)

Kyle and I took the kids to a local carnival
.....

Here is Jadyn making a necklace
with the daughters of pioneers (or something)
Koston just hangin out!
of course some Cotton Candy!!

and a lunch break!

re-hydrating and wore out!

Koston thinks he is on the rides!!

THEN.... We also went to LAGOON! or as Jadyn calls it
GAGOON!

She did really good and really loved it!!
of course her "no emotion" face lol but as soon as we got in the car
she couldnt stop talking about it and continues to talk about it everyday! ha ha!

.......

Growing up I always knew that when I had a baby girl
I would get her ears pierced
as soon as I could!!
That same thought continued throughout my whole pregnancy!
but as soon as Jadyn was born and I saw her adorable little ears
there was no way I could put something in them!!
As Jadyn got older we talked about it a lot
but always worried about her playing with them or taking them out.
so we always postponed it..
until now!!

Jadyn and I started talking about it!
and she started getting so excited and couldn't stop talking about it for days!!
so finally I decided what the heck!!
loaded up the car drove down to the mall (we went to south town)

This is how excited she was....... she was clapping
and yelling "BE SO MUCH FUN!!!"
(I even warned her it might hurt a little)

We walked into the store
looked at their earring selection
Jadyn picked out
some cute pink 14k gold studs,
and
They had 2 people working so that was a plus.
(they could do it at the same time)

Jadyn patiently waiting and getting all lined up!

They did such a good job!
She didn't even flinch!! she did so good!!
and I got it all on video!

Final product...!

I am so glad I waited until I did because it has been such a fun
experience for her!
everywhere we went and everyone she saw she had to point out her new earings!
"Look at my pretty earings!!"
she still does today!!

I love being a MOMMY!!!!

..............
BRING ON AUGUST!!

(his parents and siblings and their offspring)
Our reunions typically last a week!
It is so fun to see everyone even if it is only once a year!
(ps I was horrible at taking pictures I maybe took 1 or 2
and bummed the rest off someone)

She LOVED bein in the mountains with everyone!
This makes me hate the city that much more :(

.......

Then of course the 4th in BLANDING!
its always fun to come home and see old friends

(was it me or did it seem a little less crowded this year?)

My Grams and I..
Waiting for the parade to start.
Jadyn watchin the parade...

I feel so bad I didnt get a picture of Koston in his 4th of July out fit!
BAD ME! :(

We left to come home on the 4th and stopped in sandy to watch the fireworks.

What a long trip... it was nice to come home to a "real" bed

It took a little more than nap time and regular sleep time
for Jadyn to catch up on her sleep
I kept finding her around the house asleep poor girl!!

It was a blast and cant wait for next year to come!!!
Love you all!

Happy JULY!!
