Birthdays

Taylor turned 15 last month. The years are flying by. He is a shophomore and such a great part of our family!
My birthday was last week. I decided I wanted to go out to dinner with the family. We went to Donnie Mac's (trailor park cuisine) Yep, you read that right. Its a diner with a trailer park/redneck theme. The decor is something else. Notice the shower curtain partition and then the truck doors haning on the far pink wall--oh and the lovely vinyl table cloths.

The seat the Trevor and Taylor are sitting on are vinyl van seats--nice color don't you think?

My cute honey!

Behind Kyle is an old car that you can eat in.

The menu is hilarious and you can even order spaghettios if you so desire. Its a fun place. I think my favorite item on display was an Elvis clock that had swiveling hips/legs. I wanted to take a picture but someone was sitting at the table right by it. --I know Stef, you would have taken a picture anyway ; )

And if dinner wasn't enough we had to stop and get donuts--my request of course.

Another year come and gone. It feels good to be 29! : 0

This next picture has nothing to do with birthdays but when I was getting the camera to upload the pictures I went in the front room and there was Trevor, Parker and Brenna in the heat of battle. If you look close you see the beautiful tree---surrounded by barbed wire and army men--too funny. Love my kids!

Snow!

This post is a few weeks overdue. Durning Thanksgiving week and a few days after we got loads of snow (maybe about 8 inches). That is very unusual for this area but we had a blast. We even had a snow day! woohoo!
This view is looking down our driveway. We have a very LONG driveway when it comes to shoveling! The pileup in the backyard
Sledding of course

Brenna and Parker with their snowman

We have several widows in our ward and the young men are in charge of shoveling their walks when needed. Needless to say Taylor and Spencer shoveled a good portion of the day. That doesn't mean they had no fun. The boys got together with their friends later in the day and built a huge snow fort. (Sorry no pictures) : (

The back view of our house. I think this picture was taken before the big storm that really dumped on us. The snow is all but gone now but the kids are hoping for a white Christmas.
