Moving, Part I

Here it is. Moving day for the Tophams. Isn't it so comforting to see all your belongings hanging out in your yard to be eventually crammed into a truck. CRAZY. But seriously, Kyle and I are still so overwhelmed and greatful to all those who helped us. Our stuff was loaded in just over an hour and with the help of the Bishop and Bro. Ahlstrom and a few others all the stuff was intricately packed so we stayed within our limit of truck space with about an inch to spare

I know you wish you all could do this real soon (NOT) I hope this is the last time for a very long time.

Loading up the truck and Spencer helping out

Our last picture in front of our house the morning we left. My parents are in there too. In the car, ready to go

My Aunt and Uncle were SOOOOO nice to let us stay with them for 5 (yes, five) days while we waited and waited for the ok to move in. They even took us fishing. Trevor is the only member of our family who caught something.

First day of school--from a hotel room. Can you see the joy and excitement in their faces? They were actually real troopers as they started a new school not knowing one soul. At least they had each other! Notice Taylor is missing. He had a terrible stomach bug and didn't start till 2 days later. I didn't ever get his picture (I'm sure he is glad of that)

We decided not to take our dining table with us from SJ. So for now we are using a lovely plastic fold--up table.
In the front room. Me and Brenna. Not much furniture in there yet.

stuff in the new house. Gotta love all the left over boxes. But, you know what? Where we live as long as your trash is bagged or in a can (any can you want-not just one they supply you) they will take it ALL. Wow, what a concept--no limit. We have been taking advantage of that.
So, there's our first installment. More later....(sooner than later I hope)

Up and Running (almost)

I know, I know, a post with no pictures is pretty grim but this is all I can manage right now. I still don't have a computer for me set up yet so I only get to use Kyle's work computer whenever I can snatch a few minutes.

Our move went relatively smoothly other than our house taking forever to close in SJ so we were homeless for about 10 days. Thanks to the generosity of my aunt and uncle we didn't have to live out of a hotel that long. We stayed at their house for about 6 days and then we needed to move a little closer to the schools so the kids could start. Taylor had a bad stomach bug during all that too so that was no fun. We are all getting used to our new surroundings and loving it. The weather has been gorgeous. We spent the evening at the park playing soccer and touch football. We absolutely love our new house and the extra space we have. I claim to have all the essentials unpacked and the rest can stay in the garage (or disappear--even better) Tomorrow we will have a box flattening party, put up some shelves in the garage and try to organize what's left.
Our ward is very nice and I already have a calling --cub committee chair--oh boy-! There are even about 10 deacons in the ward --yea for Taylor!
Hopefully I will be able to post better next time. We miss all our SJ friends and family very much.
