Let's Get Together, Ya, Ya, Ya!

Anyone else sing the rest of the song or am I the only weird one? :)

We had a get together last Sunday with some friends from dental school.  It was so fun to be able to catch up.  We hadn't seen Tyson and Stephanie in almost 3 years (they live in Colorado).  The kids had fun too.  I wish we all lived closer so they could play together more often.

Yuck, I hate this picture (of me) but I had to give a shout out to my good friend Emilee who's moving to Texas.  I'm gonna miss her!  

Bryn's Preschool Field Trip!

Brynlee's preschool class went to the fire station, police station, and post office for a field trip.  Thank heaven's it was a half way decent day.  It was one of the very few nice days we've had this spring.

 Of course, they loved the fire truck.  He also talked to them about what they need to do if they are ever in a fire.  And he put all of the fireman gear on so that they could see what someone who was coming to help them would look like and sound like.  I thought all was good, but for the next two nights Brynlee was terrified that our house was going to catch on fire.  I didn't want to make her think it would never happen to her but it was hard to find a happy medium on the subject.

All the kids loved the police dog Joey.  And they got to get inside the police car and turn on the lights and the sirens.  They all thought it was pretty cool.  Especially Boston, I think he could have stayed in their playing with the siren all day.

Last but not least, the post office.  The kids had fun.

Bryn's Dance and Gymnastic Recital

Brynlee loves her dance and gymnastic class.  She did a really good job and we had a great time watching her!

A Happy Mother's Day

The kids and Lance gave me an e-card that talks for Mother's Day.  I don't know who liked writing and listening to it more, Lance or the kids!  Most of the card was written by Brynlee, but all of them chipped in a little.  I'm sure you can figure out which parts Lance did and which parts the kids did :)

What it said:

Dear Kylee and Mom, we think you are the best mom in the world because: you give us food, and you brush our teeth when dad is gone.  You help us clean up when we need help, and you give us medicine.  You let us play for a little while until it is time to go to somebodys house.  You changed our diapers when we were little babies, and woke up and fed us during the night.  Happy Mother's Day!  You're beautiful!  We love you!  Thanks for everything.  From: Boston, Brynlee, and Dad.  Here's fifty bucks to go get something you want.  Oh, yeah, and you're kind of goofy.  

Brynlee was so mad that Lance put that last part in.  At least I have one of them on my side!

I'm so thankful to be a mom to two great little kids!  Love them!

Birthday Time!

Lance's birthday was Monday.  I think the kids had more fun than he did : ) About half way through the festivities Brynlee piped up and said, "Dad, you don't have any friends."  Not as a question, as a fact.  It made us laugh.  I guess I should have invited some people over!

Since Lance got Lasik for his birthday I decided it would be fun to get something for his other senses too!  Cheesy, yes, but the kids and I had fun with it!

I think this was Lance's favorite part of the day : )
