Picture Day

I forgot to do this the first day of school but we got it done within the first week or so.  This is how my big Kindergartener writes her name.
I just love this girl!  She's such a good little model : )

And don't you worry.  This handsome fella got in on the picture fun too : )
Love these two kids!  But they are growing up too fast!  Makes me sad : (

Labor Day Weekend

Trying to play catch up before Christmas...we'll see if I get it done!

To stick with tradition we headed to Blackfoot for the Fair.  We just can't help it.  Or at least I can't!  All the yummy food just calls my name  ; )  We had a great time as always eating stuff we shouldn't have and playing with cousins at grandma's house.  Life is good.

The kids were able to "milk a cow" at the fair.  Boston was fascinated. Both kids gave it a shot though.  They should be pros!  It's in their blood!  Although that practice got lost a few generations ago . . .

On to the real animals! Nice goat, nice goat . . .
How many girls can you fit on one mechanical horse?

Grandma and Grandpa got a new trampoline.  The kids LOVE it.  And when I say kids I mean Grandma and Grandpa's KIDS and grandkids.
Bobbi, Kelli and I headed off Saturday night to go watch The Help.  SO GOOD!!

Sunday we tried to snap a quick family photo.  Ryan is missing and the kids weren't quite feeling it with the picture taking but I'd still say it turned out pretty good all things considering.
This picture reminds me of my younger years hanging out at grandma's. Makes me smile : )
Great G & G Clark came over to visit and we were able to snap a picture with them and all the grandkids!

Boston Funnies

Boston: Look at my muscles mom
Me: Wow!
Boston: I ate Dad's sandwich so now I have BIG muscles

********************************************************

Boston:  Did you see that?  I'm a genius!  Am I a genius Dad?!

********************************************************

Lance: Will you say the prayer please Boston
Boston: How do I start?
Lance: You know how
Boston: I love to see the temple
**giggles from everyone at the table**
Lance: Heavenly Father
Boston: Oh ya

********************************************************

Boston:  Mom you know how to cook because great moms know how to cook and you're a great mom : )
--yep, melted my heart.

********************************************************

Scene--Boston was in the bathroom, I was in the kitchen
Boston: Ta-Da!  Look at me mom!
And their he was; arms stretched wide standing in the middle of the hall in his birthday suit...

********************************************************

Brynlee and I went to Utah to do some school shopping and stayed at my sisters for the night so Lance and Boston got to hang out while we were gone.  When Lance put Boston to bed he told Lance "Come and get me if you get sad all alone in your bed tonight Dad"

********************************************************

Boston is on this kick of saying "or something", "kind of" or "darkness  in almost every sentence he says, even if it makes no sense whatsoever.
Actual quotes (of course I never have a pencil with me when he does the funny ones):

"He's always at my class or something"
"Mom look in here, it's darkness"
"Kind of and I want a drink too"
"Mom that was kind of mine so will you go get it?"

********************************************************

And this one's for Lance.  Let's set the scene.  Boston is in the bathroom and Lance is in the kitchen right next to the bathroom.
Lance: Do you need any help?
Boston: No
Lance: Don't forget to floss, I mean flush
Hmmm, only out of the mouth of a dentist.  Long day at work maybe? : )

Kindergarten!

Monday was Brynlee's first day of school.  Wow, crazy.  She was a little nervous all summer but this last week she's gotten excited.  She even informed me last week of what she was wearing for the first day of school.  She's such a girl : ) As for me, I had to suck it up and put on a happy face for her.  Although I am pretty proud, I didn't shed one tear in front of her.  I came close a couple of times, but I made it.  YAY!!  She's getting so big and growing up so fast.  I love her to death and Boston and I are going to miss her like crazy!
Bryn & her teacher Mrs. Barnard

 Love you baby girl!
**Cute tidbit I can't leave out--We had Brynlee say family prayer Sunday night and in it she said "please help me to make new friends and bless mommy and Boston that they will be okay without me"  She's such a sweet thing and she'll never know how much mommy and Boston needed that : )

Provo Falls

One of our favorite things to do in the summer is drive up to the Uintah's and play around.  Our new favorite place is Provo Falls.  It's multiple waterfalls that stair step down and you can walk up it and play in the water.  Super fun and so pretty!

Washington or bust

The end of July we headed to Washington!  It was so nice to see all our family up there.  Lots of eating, crafting, chatting, boating.  We always have so much fun when we go.

Sprinklers in grandma's backyard=oh so much fun
Great Grandma Hill taught Brynlee how to make little flower girls
 Swimming

She had SO much fun jumping off the diving board.  She did it over and over and over again.

Brynlee decided she wanted to put on a show for us one night.  She sang her little heart out and Boston decided to join her.
We went swimming with my cousins to this really cool pond that someone made in their yard.  The kids had a blast.
What's that?  You see a plumber?
Tadpoles.  It's amazing how much time fun they had looking for tadpoles.

More water fun at great grandma's

Me, Aunt Wendi, Anika, & Aunt Melanie.  I love these guys!
Chelsey and me finishing up one of our many crafts
The kids with great g & g Hill
 TUBING!

My Aunt Sherri and cousin Megan finally convinced Brynlee to go down the slide into the lake.  She was really nervous but it only took one time down for her to realize that it was actually fun!
