Pumpkin Carving!

I wasn't sure if Brynlee would like carving the pumpkin, but she did! She wanted to help with the carving and everything. She wasn't too sure about the guts inside, but once we got it out she enjoyed checking it out. We asked her what kind of a face she wanted on the pumpkin...she said she wanted a "kind of scary" face. Humm...

Helping carve the pumpkin!

She liked helping to spoon out all the guts!
Boston enjoyed watching all the festivities.

BOO!
This is how our "kind of scary" pumpkin turned out!

Trunk or Treat?

Saturday was our wards trunk-or-treat. We got rained out after only 30 minutes, but we managed to get some trick or treating done, eat some hot dogs and caramel apples, and get a few quick pictures in. We had fun, but hopefully the weather cooperates a little better this weekend when we try our luck again!

A duck and a witch. Brynlee looks so happy doesn't she? She didn't want to be a witch. She said it was scary...but we finally convinced her that it wasn't scary and that she had to wear her costume to get candy. So she reluctantly put on the costume. No more buying costumes a year early for me! I thought I was doing so good by buying both the kids costumes when they were on sale last year. Boy was I wrong! I will be letting Brynlee pick out her own costume from now on. And the costume I bought her was a little snug. It was a 2-3T so I thought it would be perfect, but it barely covered her behind! Lance and I had a good laugh at that.

This is Brynlee AFTER she went trick-or-treating and ate a little candy :) She never did get the "trick-or-treat" part down, but she always said thank you!

A quick snapshot of Trey, Breylan, Colton, and Brynlee right before it started raining.

The Pumpkin Patch!

Monday night for FHE we went to a local pumpkin patch. Brynlee loved it!Scoping out the pumpkins to find just the right one...
FOUND IT!!Just chillin' with the pumpkins!

Cheese!
family shotsThey also had this pile of hay that Brynlee was having a blast playing in with the other kids that were there. She thought it was so fun to pick up the hay, run around, and throw it in the air. It was pretty funny to watch.

My little string bean

October 11 Boston turned 3 months old!
Stats
25 1/4 inches long (90%)
11 lbs (10%)
A.K.A Very loNg and skiNny! (but happy as could be!)
Boston is trying to roll but just can't quite figure out how to get his arm out from under him.
He loves to blow bubbles with his mouth.
He would eat his hands all day long if I let him.
He could spend all day just watching his sister. You can tell he just loves her to death!
He loves to get attention (then again what baby doesn't?)
He's smiling and laughing all the time.

Are you ever too old?

I just wish they made one my size. That would be nice...

Buckle or no buckle

So I walked into the living room the other day to find Boston like this. Yikes! Yeah, I know, what a bad mom. I don't buckle up my baby in the swing.
But obviously it doesn't make THAT much of a difference anyway.

Cheese anyone?

I was grating the cheese for dinner the other night and Brynlee kept asking me for some cheese. When I was done, I turned around to grab a knife so I could cut her a piece of cheese and she was gone, along with the whole block of cheese. (well what was left of it anyway) A few minutes later I went to check on her and this is how I found her. She ate almost the entire thing! Not my preferred way to eat cheese, but I guess she enjoyed it.

So nice

She was letting Boston play with Mogly...for a minute anyway. Then she decided that she would just rub Bostons head instead. As you can tell, Boston didn't mind either way, just as long as she was paying attention to him.

Hands down!

Or in the mouth. That's how Boston prefers them these days. Here's the evidence.

FHE

Monday we had dinner and FHE with the Gales. We had a GREAT time! Yummy dinner, lots of singing, nice lesson, fun games, and delicious dessert! This was our night in pictures.

Jesus wants me for a sun ...
BEAM!

A sun....

BEAM!

Kids are so funny. They absolutely loved singing the sunbeam song (then again, what kid doesn't. I mean honestly now!)

Games, games, games.

We tried to get Boston to sleep a little. HAHA yeah right! Like he was going to sleep with all the noise. He wasn't about to miss out on all the fun.
