Happy Birthday to ME!

Guess what I got for my birthday!? A $100 gift card to a spa!! Isn't my husband great!! Thanks Lance! I'm so excited! I've never been before! But I decided I would wait until after I have the baby to go get pampered so once I'm feeling up to getting out of the house you know where to find me!
Lance took her to the store to pick out a card and a present the night before my birthday. When he got home he looked a little worn out and told me that it was a very interesting night. Of course I asked him why and all he would tell me was "You'll see". So present time finally arrived and I decided to start with Brynlee's card first. Can you feel the excitement? I open the envelope and pull out the card. It has a picture of a duck doing the disco on the front (One of those that when you move it around the duck dances). Very ... interesting. I open it up and read the inside. This is what the card says "You've thtill got that Thaturday night fever! Happy 50th Birthday" (By the way Brynlee is DYING at this point to get the card out of my hands so that she can look at it) This is what Lance wrote:
I told her to pick out a card for you. She got really excited and told me to "wait" where I was and she would "find it." After chasing her all over the store and explaining to her five times where the cards were, this is what she picked. Happy 50th/2=25 Birthday. (close enough right?!)
Hahaha. The joys of shopping with a two year old!! But I did get a new blow dryer too! I was still using one that I got when I was a sophomore in High School that was looking and sounding pretty scary. And we never managed to get the camera out for the joyous occasion so sorry, no pictures!

"Truck Loads" of fun!

My friends Angie and Jen C. gave me a baby shower! Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into it! It turned out super cute! You guys are awesome!
I received lots of really cute and needed baby items, which got me even more excited for this little guy! (No, we still haven't picked a name ... we are still working on that!) Thanks to everyone for all of their help and support!

Look who's 2! Happy Birthday BRYNLEE!!

I can't believe that my little girl is 2! Man how time flies! So for the joyous occasion I decided to have a little swim party for her and some of her little friends. They all seemed to have a great time! I mean, you can't really go wrong with swimming right!? We also had cupcakes and drinks. Brynlee loved that everyone sang happy birthday to her. And she totally shocked me that she knew to blow the candles out when then were done singing! I was so impressed :) These are some pictures of the party!

Brynlee blowing out the candles

Yummy!

Since it was her birthday and all, we let her pick a movie to watch. She sat in this position and watched Nemo from beginning to end!
The presents!! She loved unwrapping everything. She seemed to like everything she got, except for the clothes that I bought her. She took the tissue paper out of the bag, looked inside, saw what was inside, didn't even pull it out of the bag and moved onto the next one. So I asked her what was in the bag and she looked back in and said "clothes".

Of course we had to sing happy birthday and blow out candles again so that daddy could be there to help celebrate too! Brynlee was all for repeating the process. More singing, more candles, more "happy dirpday cake" (as Brynlee would call it). But then again, who wouldn't!

We just love this little girl so much and are so glad that she is part of our family! She brings so much joy to our lives! We love you!

**Funny side note: This morning Lance went to get Brynlee out of bed and this is how the conversation went:

Lance: "Good morning Brynlee. Happy Birthday!"
Brynlee: "No happy dirpday"
Lance: "Yeah, it's your birthday!!"
Brynlee: "No happy dirpday"
He gets her out of bed and walks into the kitchen where I had the cupcakes on the counter.
Brynlee: "Happy dirpday! Happy dirpday cake!!"
She was so excited about her birthday after that!

Okay so it doesn't sound that funny, but it really was at the time! Maybe you just had to be there!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day! Lance is such a great dad! We couldn't ask for anything more! He is so good with Brynlee and she just loves him to death, which makes my heart melt! He is always ready and willing to get down on the floor with her and play whatever she wants. He really is the best dad ever!
WE LOVE YOU, LANCE!!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Can you say Doctor?! Graduation day!!

We can't believe it either! Lance is now officially Dr. Lance Clark, DMD. CRAZY!! Graduation was on Sunday, May 25. It was amazing to see him get hooded and receive his diploma; knowing of all the hard work and dedication that he has put into the last four years. We are so proud of him and the effort he has put into his schooling and family!
Graduation was long, but nice. They do the graduation with all of the Health Professions Division so it makes for about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour event. Some of Lance's family was able to come out for his graduation and somehow I didn't get any pictures of them with him. I'm not quite sure how that happened, but we were really glad they were able to come out and for all of their support.
I didn't get very many pictures during the actual graduation. The lighting was terrible and I couldn't figure out what to set my camera on to get a good picture. But I did get some before and after pictures!

More Family!

Some of Lance's family came to see us this last week and to be here for his graduation! We had a lot of fun. Brynlee enjoyed the company for the most part. She got the flu the second day that they were here so she wasn't quite herself, but I still think she had fun after she got past the throwing up and not feeling well! Of course coming to all the way to Florida we had to take them to the beach! We had a great time. The weather was perfect ... maybe a little too perfect because we all came home burnt! There was just a little breeze on the beach that day so you don't think that you are getting as much sun as you are and then you end up looking like a lobster! But it was still fun. And of course I forgot my camera that day so I don't have any pictures :( Anyway, we also went to dinner a couple of times, took everyone on an air boat ride in the Everglades to see some alligators, the boys went golfing, had a BBQ, and swam! It was great!
Brynlee enjoying some Dairy Queen ice cream!

Maklee & Brynlee taking a bath after the beach. Brynlee was SO excited to have a bath partner!

Happy Birthday!

Brynlee decided she wanted to dress up in her Halloween costume...
...And then of course she need something yummy to eat and put in her basket, so we settled on donuts!
