Thanksgiving Festivities

Happy Thanksgiving!
For Thanksgiving our friends Zac & Nicolette came down from St. Augustine. We had a great time, ate WAY too much food, and did a little shopping. And of course I didn't get any pictures of the big feast, but I got a few of us at the beach so that will have to do!

Mommy and Brynlee time!

Lance didn't feel good one Sunday night and Boston was sleeping so Brynlee and I decided to go on a walk. Who knew a walk could be so much fun!!Bryn loved playing with this chain. Simple pleasures.
You can't tell in the picture but she was playing with her shadow and was have a blast!
She love, love, loved, the fire hydrant for some reason. She would climb on it, talk to it, and hug it. It was too funny. She also kept talking about it's "hat" on top :)

Family fun!

Some of my family decided to come visit us one last time before we leave Florida in a couple of weeks. We had a few minor problems along the way, but overall we had a great time! Here's a recap!

Day 1
We decided our first adventure was going to be the beach! So we made a lunch to take with us, got dressed, and got all the beach stuff out and ready to go. We were ready for a fun filled day in the sun, until we noticed that the van my grandpa had rented the night before was not in the parking lot. At first was thought that is might have gotten stolen, but before we called the police I decided to go talk to the condo president just to make sure. Well come to find out they had towed the car because it didn't have a guest pass in it. I was so ticked!! I couldn't believe that they wouldn't at least give a warning first! I mean come on! And to make matters worse Lance told me that when he had gone to the management place to pick up our parking sticker he asked the lady about getting some guest passes but she wouldn't give him any. I really hate associations!! ANYWAY, so two hours and $124 later we had the car back and were FINALLY able to enjoy ourselves. We had fun playing in the water, looking for shells, and playing in the sand.

Brynlee loved helping grandma Chris bury Kalen in the sand.
Day 2
We had decided that we were going to head north and go to the Kennedy Space Center and as luck would have it there was going to be a launch that night! What perfect timing... or so we thought. Lance was on the Internet looking up directions on how to get there and noticed that it said it is closed on scheduled launch days! I couldn't believe our luck or lack of! So we headed to Orlando instead. On the way we stopped for lunch and of course, guess what I did. LOCKED THE KEYS IN THE CAR!! Can you believe it! Yeah, neither could I. Luck was officially NOT on my side. Luckily they were able to get the keys out pretty fast so it was only a minor delay. We finally made it to Orlando and decided to make our way to Downtown Disney. We had a good time and everyone, but Lance, me, the kids, and Matthew stayed to go to Cirque du Soleil La Nouba (Lance and I had seen it in May with his family). So we headed to the hotel. We put the kids down for the night and left them with Matthew while Lance and I went and enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Good times!

We don't get very many opportunities to take a picture with all of us in it. Thanks for suggesting to take the picture mom!

Isn't he just the cutest little boy you have ever seen?! Yeah, I think so too :)
Day 3
My grandparents and mom and Matthew headed to the Kennedy Space Center while the rest of us went to Disney.

Once again, It's a Small World was a huge hit! But this time Boston got to ride on it too! (Last time I was 7 months pregnant when we came to Disney)

I know this picture is blurry, but I had to post it anyway. It's the only one that we got and although at the time it was super embarrassing and irritating it's kind of funny know. And in 3 or 4 years when Brynlee is begging us to go to Disney so she can see the princesses I'm going to whip this picture out and show her how happy she was last time she saw one of the Disney princesses.

Lance, Boston, Kalen, and Brynlee on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

You must watch your back at all times. Great job Katelyn! You do it like a pro!Brynlee and Kalen all smiles waiting in line!

A picture in front of the "princess" castle as Brynlee calls it.Brynlee loved the "horsey" ride. And as an added bonus she could see the "princess" castle while she was riding it so it made it even more fun!
For some reason Brynlee likes to sit in Boston's car seat. I'm not quite sure what the fascination is, but oh well. Whatever makes them happy right!?
We told Brynlee that she could pick one toy. She REALLY wanted Bageara (the panther from Jungle Book) but we couldn't find it so she happily settled for Marie (one of the cats from Aristocates) instead.
Day 4
We got up early Sunday morning to make the 3+ hour drive to Fort Lauderdale to make it back in time for church. We were a little late, but we made it. After church we had pie to celebrate my Grandpa's birthday and had fun just hanging out!
Brynlee was in heaven. She loves singing happy birthday and blowing out candles. This was taken before she decided to touch the freshly blown out candle and burned her little fingers.
Great Grandma and Grandpa with Brynlee and Boston!
Me and my G-pa and G-ma! Don't we look good?!

Boston with Grandma Chris!

Of course now that I look back at all my pictures I didn't get very many with Brynlee and her grandparents. Oops!!
Day 5

Well everyone got up super early to head to the airport for there 6:40 flight. Come to find out the flight didn't leave until 6:40 at night! Oops! So after everyone got back and got a little rest we decided to do a little shopping! We got the kids a lot of cute stuff for Christmas! Then it was back to the airport for the 6:40 pm flight! We had so much fun with everyone!

Daddy Daughter Date!

Lance took Brynlee to the movie a couple Saturdays ago to see Madagasgar 2. Lance said besides two bathroom breaks she just sat on his lap eating popcorn and fruit snacks and watched the movie. He wasn't sure if she liked it or not, but every now and then she will tell us that she needs to go to the movie theater and eat some popcorn and fruit snacks. So I'm guessing that she enjoyed it enough to want to go back!

A Spooktacular Halloween Night!

The beginning of the Halloween preparations. She was so funny when I was putting make-up on her. She would squeeze her eyes so tight together when I was putting the eyeshadow on that I could hardly get it on her! But she loved it and asked me the next day if she could have some on again!

The cutest princess and duckling I've ever seen!

She was much happier being Cinderella for Halloween than she was being a witch for the trunk or treat. Who knew?!

Princesses on parade!

Brynlee loved the idea that all you had to do was knock on the door and people would give you candy! What a great concept! She was the first one to every door!

Hello! Open the door or we'll open it for you!

Let's have some Halloween fun!

We decided to have a Halloween party for the kids on Friday. It was a little windy which made it a little stressful for us parents, but the kids didn't seem to mind and still had a blast!
The kids doing the "SPOOKY" cookie walk!
Decorating pumpkins!
Colton and Brynlee. I'm not sure what they were doing, but whatever it was they were having a blast. They always seem to have so much fun together!
Pin the nose on the pumpkin. Yeah, Brynlee wouldn't keep the blindfold on, but that's okay even cheating she didn't win!
Boston and Krew were suppose to be napping....

Pumpkin Carving!

I wasn't sure if Brynlee would like carving the pumpkin, but she did! She wanted to help with the carving and everything. She wasn't too sure about the guts inside, but once we got it out she enjoyed checking it out. We asked her what kind of a face she wanted on the pumpkin...she said she wanted a "kind of scary" face. Humm...

Helping carve the pumpkin!

She liked helping to spoon out all the guts!
Boston enjoyed watching all the festivities.

BOO!
This is how our "kind of scary" pumpkin turned out!
