Stay away from cows!

On October 23, (yesterday) our Grandpa was injured pretty bad. He is truly a cowboy and tougher than nails. Unfortunatly, a cow got the best of him. He has been a farmer his whole life. He just celebrated 50 years of marriage to his beautiful bride and for their golden anniversary, they went to China to visit their son, Rod and his family.
He is expected to be in the hospital for 4 days. He truly is one of the stongest men I have EVER known! We love you Grandpa and we hope that you will have a speedy recovery! We love you so much!

Weekend Fun

Kyle had two days off in a row and so we totally wanted to make the most of it. It started on Sunday. We went to the Del Cerro ward because it met earlier then we drove up to Mount Soledad which is a monument for our Veterans for WW2. We love it because you can see all over the San Diego county. We met a family there from Utah and that was fun. The kids had fun going up and down the stairs and going on a few trails.

Then we went to La Jolla and walked up and down the coast line. Sunday was so peaceful and it was the 1st time we have done that. Even when we were here two years ago, and the 4 months we have been here, we have never done this. It was nice, it was beautiful. I loved the way my husband looked as the sun was setting. My only regret about this day was..... I wished I would have worn pants. I was cold! Oh well

Girls Night Out!

So Kyla wanted to have her friends over for a movie night. So we got pizza and watched the new Barbie movie. It was crazy fun. Kyle and I were commenting on where in the world do these little girls learn how to pose the way they do? We are so happy that Kyla just stands there instead of trying to be all sexy like. One of the girls caused us to raise our eyebrows the way she was dancing. She must watch a lot of MTV. I feel bad for some of these girls. Some of them have such difficult home lives. It makes me even more grateful for the gospel and for the principles that we try to live by. I am grateful for Kyla and for her dedication to always try to choose the right. She is so amazing and continues to try to be a good girl.

Just for fun

We went go-carting and it was fun. I giggled the WHOLE time! Kyle is AWESOME! He almost beat the track lap record. So that was our date. Too bad it didn't last longer.

This is how I go grocery shopping.

Kyla's book report and free choice

On Fridays, at the very end of the day, for like the last 30-45 minutes the kids get to have Friday free-choice. They have different stations that they can choose to go and play at. Ms. French lets us come to play and help out, but lets be honest, it's mostly to play. It is so fun!

This is the kitchen station with cute little chef hats and aprons.

Play-doh stations

Our little chefs! I can't wait to have someone cook for me!

This little girl, Grace is so silly. She is such a poser but she honestly is such a cute girl!
Kade is a silly kid!

So Kyla did a book report on "Pinkalicious". She loves that book and so needless to say, we are reading it daily. Well, I guess I misunderstood on how she is supposed to report it. She practiced and practiced that book "reading" it to us. She knows the whole book. I just only wished I would have practiced it with her the right way. Oh well, I will know for next time. She is so sweet and soft spoken. I truly am so GRATEFUL for her teacher, Ms. French who lets Kade and Kambri come to her room a lot. I love being a part of the class and I love those kids so much. Kyla has good classmates and a sweet teacher. I wish I knew more single guys cause Ms. French is single and a great catch!

My Nephew's Wedding

So Kambri and I flew to Salt Lake in September for one night. My nephew Mikey got married! I am so proud of him.

I thinks Kakes is hungry, what do you think?

I'm on the phone with Kyla. She was missing me and trust me when I say, I was missing her. I cried on the airplane. Sometimes I think I would love to have a break from my kids, but I want to be in the same town as them. Kyle's uncle lives in Bei Jing, and we would love to go, but Kyle wants to go without the kids, and I don't want to fly half way around the world without my kids. I keep telling myself that maybe when they are older. We will see.

My sister, who just happens to be my best friend, and my handsome nephew and my beautiful nieces!

Going to school is so much fun!!!

Here are just a few random pics. For some reason, we thought this was funny. Kambri always likes to take her diaper off when she can. I walked in the bedroom and she had her diaper on her head. She is so funny!

Kade always has to make funny faces.

So here's the deal. Kambri opened the door to the pantry and was eating the M&M's. I wish everyone could have heard her talk her Kambri talk. She is so cute and so funny.

Kyla had back to school night and here are her little friends. From left to right... Luna, Katie, Kyla and Lauren.

Luna, Kaden, Nicole, Katie, Kyla, Lauren, and Alan. I think that Nicole and Kaden like each other. They always play together and eat together. Kyla is really fortunate to have a great class and a wonderful fun teacher.

Here is Kyla at lunch. The kids are Fernando, Jacob, Ky and Kade. Kyla thinks Jacob is cute. She says that he is nice. Kyle flipped a lid when he heard Kyla say she thought a boy was cute. He jumped on that question so fast.... he goes..."what do you mean he's cute?" She goes he is nice and so he thought that her statement was innocent enough.

We got a letter sent home saying that Kyla was going to be in their school assembly being honored for being a good student. Kyle got off work too. We are so proud of her.

Kambri kept screaming...Kyla...Kyla. It was so cute!

Here is Luna, Kyla and Ms. French.

Ms. French is an amazing teacher. She is so good to these kids and she is soooo fun! I am so grateful that Kyla got such a good teacher. Kyla said the other day that she wishes Ms. French had a twin, one whose voice sounded the exact same and who looked the exact same so that when we go home to Washington, she could be her teacher. I thought that was so sweet.

Her medal for being a good student and then she got 3 gift certificates for 3 different restaurants. Mmmm my favorite, free food!

Once again.... can't be serious if his life depended on it!

Kyla, my little fashionista! She does this all the time all on her own. She is a belt girl!

I took this picture because of Kambri. She just laid right down on the pillows just like the other kids. I guess I am the only one who gets a kick out of her blending right in with the older ones. She is getting so much fun!
