We Kinda ♥ Shutterfly

I've been making family yearbooks for the past two years. This is our most recent one from 2012 (yeah I might be pushing getting it out before the end of the year).

I've tried a few different websites and Shutterfly is by far my fav!

The Annual Vaca

1st FAMILY CAMPING TRIP
We decided to take a different route this year and travel through Colorado Springs to visit Matt. The drive was picturesque and the moment we crossed over into Colorado we rolled down our windows to feel the crisp mountain air. Luke and I hiked the famed Incline (which is the ultimate stair climber on steroids) and then drove to Twin Lakes to camp. Camping was a complete joy until the moment came to go to bed. Gwen had a complete melt down, a tantrum like I've never seen. She was inconsolable. We were in a tent surrounded by 20 other campers in tents. This was not okay. Luke took her into our car and after 20-30 minutes she calmed down. He brought her back to our tent and another tantrum erupted. Back to the car. Calmed down, back to the tent. This time as the tantrum started to erupt she suddenly fell asleep. It was like a light switch had been turned off. Throughout the night she would wail out and Luke and I would console her. Needless to say we didn't sleep much. The next morning, hello 8 hour drive!

ITS HER FAV
Last fall conference Mil became infatuated with the Salt Lake Temple. Every time she sees it in pictures she gets really excited. On her list of "Things I Must Do While in Utah", right underneath play with cousins, was visit the Salt Lake Temple.

THIS IS YOUR BACKYARD!!!???
Sigh.... the things you take for granted. Like having the most beautiful mountains in the world RIGHT IN YOUR BACKYARD! I never realized how cool it is to have Provo Canyon as your playground until I moved away. The hardest part about living in Austin? Not having mountains. We spent a lot of time in the Sundance area this trip. We went on a date there, had breakfast, biked the Alpine Loop and ended up there, and (pictured below) took the girls for a tram ride and picnic. It was a highlight.

FAIRVIEW ON THE 4th
Nothing feels more American than spending the 4th in a small town. Everyone knows everyone, the parade is nothing more than a candy throw, and families drive around the streets on four-wheelers. The day started with the Mount Pleasant parade, followed by lunch and four-wheeling at the cabin, followed by the carnival, ending in a spectacular fireworks show that rivals Stadium of Fire. It is a Colledge family tradition everyone eagerly anticipates.

RAINY DAY
We came home from the trip to this. It was lovely.

Marvelous May

 A COLLEDGE TOUR
We were lucky enough to be graced with the presence of 7 of the Colledge clan. We toured the Alamo and Riverwalk, did some shopping, kept Dad busy with yardwork, did plenty of swimming, and (of course) had to take a pilgrimage to The Salt Lick in Driftwood.

 BERRY PICKING
Picked strawberries and blackberries. Gwen tried to kiss all the goats. Millie got to jump on the bouncer. Completely worth the 1 hour drive.

Whoa! That's a lot of pictures!

I know, it's been a year since my last post. Sorry family. I still ♥ you. Instead of trying to catch up for the past year, I just posted a bunch of pics that will give you a peek into what we've been up to deep in the heart of Texas.

 A SUNDAY JUMP

 A DAY CELEBRATING LOVE
Millie and her friend, Josie, made heart cookies for their daddies.  Please note the 2-inch thick frosting with layers of frosting, sprinkles, and {oh yes} red hots.

THAT IS NOT EDIBLE
She has tasted and eaten bits of: spiders, airwick plugins, dog poop, and pictured below mud. This one has a hearty appetite.

EASTER

SHE IS OH-SO GENTLE
Her ears are pulled, her tail is pulled, she is road like a horsey, her lips are pulled up and her teeth are poked, and her response? Licks. Lots of licking. Kisses all over little faces, hands, and tummies. She was born to be a mother.

A FAILED ATTEMPT AT BLUEBONNET PICS TURNED INTO FANTASTIC PICTURES ON SWINGS

THE ZOO

(Gwen is becoming quite the little climber)

She wants to feed them and throws a fit until I help her give them food, and then the moment they reach out to eat out of her hand, she does this.
