Went for the MOE meet up session yesterday...

And like Cheryl in church put it, it was kinda waste time one lar... ok... managed to meet up with some old friends from primary school (OMG! Fahmie!?), secondary school and JC.

Played some ice-breaker games to... break the ice. haha... the guys and the girls were like separated... and the guys were outnumbered! so no choice, we, the guys, had to take the initiative to chat up some of the girls. haha... managed to meet up with some nice gals like Jerilyn and Fiona.

And then there was this other game about some Hopi family thingy. I was like super enthu to be one of the characters, i just raised my hand so quickly even the facilitators were shocked! haha... anyway, had to play this Father Hopi character... I was supposed to be stern but in the end i acted more buay song... haha...

Oh well.

Something that made me quite irritated was the fact that the stand on hostel stay arrangements kept changing! One minute, I was under the impression that I could choose what type of room to stay in and then just get reimbursed at double room rates and the other, I (or rather we) was/were told that we could only choose double-rooms!

And it didn't help that the facilitators couldn't give us a solid answer on how NUS was gonna arrange the allocation of rooms for us...

When I went down to NUS to do my hostel registration at OSA, i just chose single rooms at both PGP and Ridge View Residences as my 1st and 2nd choices. I mean, what is so wrong with me choosing single rooms if I can top up the extra rental i have to pay?

Perhaps the system is that the scholars will definitely get a place to stay in NUS and we are given a choice. I mean, after all, it's only logical to think that when NUS specifically stated that they preferred us to apply the normal way as most students would and not rely on MOE's "reservations".

Supposed to meet up with H for lunch but he was at AH!!! argh... miscommunication.

Yay. The audition is finally over. Really hope Keong and I make it!

Worthy of note in the audition panel was Willy Low (from Light Years)! Actually managed to shake hands and talk to him. I think Skeeto's gonna freak out (hint: crush). haha.

Our songs kinda wow-ed the crowd at the avalon. We managed to "silence" the crowd by just practising once through... well, until we were stopped abruptly cos of the potential disturbance we would have caused to the auditions going on upstairs.

Oh! Also met up with another UAN pianist, Bryan. He's the jazzy type.

During the audition proper, first major mistake started with KEONG!!! haha... (heh, if you're reading this, just poking fun ar. no offence intended. =P) Completely missed out one verse from Andromeda. I kept saying, "Keong... Keong!" until he finally got it when he finished playing but the song hadn't ended.

Next major mistake was for Operation: Glanzende... FROM ME! I missed out the scales. My heart was thumping so bad and my legs were literally shaking from the excitement/anxiety. I was actually standing and playing on Keong's digital piano. That would explain why...

Oh well, I managed to notice the auditioners' feet thumping to Operation: Glanzende. Haha. must be the rock-ish riff to it.

Oh well, we ended off pretty well. Wasn't that disastrous. lol. Willy actually commented that it was "Refreshing!". Hee... really hope he regards our performance highly when it comes to deciding which items to put in for the concert, "Dawn of Dreams".

Everyone else seemed quite impressed. Hopefully that holds too.

Oh well, if all goes well, Keong and I will be performing for September! With all the grooming etc. classes coming along too... Think it's gonna be a high-profile event. I can't wait!

I can't believe I forgot to take photos! My photo-blogging habit is getting a tad rusty.

Anyway, watched Mr & Mrs Smith with B, H and D today. Must say the movie was not too bad. It was more humour than action. And Angelina Jolie is simply gorgeous! H had to leave us after the movie cos he had to go to church.

B, D and I then adjourned to Swensen's at Crown Prince... Met up with W, F, A and Z. Poor F came late and only spent a short time with us before B, W, Z and I were to adjourn again to Mox bar!

Was pretty cool at first when we reached there, (well, after going through a small traffic jam which Z screamed, "I don't wanna get stuck here!!!" haha.) ambience was great and we had a drink each... Z had to drive so he got a mocktail instead.

Managed to meet up with Jeremy again and had a nice chat with him.

Just before Z left us, B and W got another drink, "liquid cocaine". It was bitter! And strong too. Sheesh. I think I would get drunk on that. Funny thing was when B asked for the "hardest" drink around, one guy at the bar actually suggested something... "fishy". haha. Had a good laugh about that. BUT that was not all! He actually asked if B and W were dating. OMG. SO straightforward. I was practically laughing my ass off.

When we eventually left, W's face was red like a lobster! haha. He was kinda disoriented. Poor guy nearly missed his MRT stop.

Ok... Tomorrow's audition day for UAN's "Dawn of Dreams". I hope Keong and I get in! weeee...

Finally... a post...

Hey everyone! The blogger is back.

Am blogging on the last day in RE where I've worked for the past 1+ months. Decided to leave early to handle all the NUS matriculation activities and stuff.

It was a good learning experience. Though I must say that such a job is not for me! In case you didn't know, I was signed up as a contract Recruitment Consultant. All the sales talk is driving me nuts. And please remind me the next time I'm offered a job that has telemarketing included in the job scope: I HATE TELEMARKETING!

It's one of the most inefficient forms of marketing.

Thankfully, my supervisor, Val, let me and another temp guy work together to do some marketing and advertising work. Managed to churn out quite a few brochures, posters, flyers/leaflets and marketing strategies. This beats the sales job anytime! So much more fun and lets me exercise my creative muscles.

Oh well, going to the gym today at Meritus cos WL can't make it this evening for Hougang. haha.

Tomorrow... Healthcare Outing again! And this time with Hope included. Hee... been so long since we've met up.

Watching Mr & Mrs Smith tml with Hope, Dan and Bonn. Then it's dinner at Swensens with the rest of the gang excluding WL. Then it's off to MX for drinks! wee... can't wait for the fun...

What should I wear?! What should I do to my hair?!

I need to go for a much needed haircut. So bushy and thick... Though I like the long fringe after it's ironed. Arghh... Is there a hairstyle that is low maintenance, looks funky and is suitable for me?! Please don't tell me to cut botak.... simply hate it. haha... =P

How? Gimme some ideas leh. I was thinking of doing a JJ Lin hairdo... though i think my parents will freak! haha... i want a fringe...

Gosh. I'm such a vain pot. haha.

Okok... Reply away! I know many of you readers are asking me to update for the longest time! WeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEeeeeeeEeeeeeeeeeeeeee....................
