The Missing 7 Years!

There are just too many adventures to catch up on! So here is the extremely condensed version of the last 7 years (as best as I can remember!):

2014 - We started the year off with a bang! The base Kyle was working at closed as of Jan. 1. We spent 4 month jobless and, after sufficient humbling experiences, I was open to the idea of moving to the Middle of Nowhere, Montana...aka Glasgow. Kyle came to Glasgow in April, the boys and I followed in August, after school was out and we had sold our house.

2015 - Before we moved to Montana, we had planned a trip to San Diego, CA. So, in August 2015 we drove with our 3 boys to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We played at the beach and had a wonderful time! Jeff and Pam joined us there and enjoyed the adventure with us!

Cooper started Preschool at Little Scholars Preschool and learned to write his name, Trevin got bifocal glasses to wear at school to help with his headaches, and we got a puppy, Izzy. Sadly she was only with us for a few months before I hit her with the car (it was a very sad day)!

2016 - Trevin broke his wrist, I went to Lethbridge, Canada for Tome Out for Women with some friends in our ward, Kyle and I went to Santa Cruz, CA for a work conference for Kyle, and (drumroll please)....we found out we were expecting another baby! It was a huge surprise that we weren’t expecting, but so grateful for!

2017 - We started off 2017 with having Trevin her baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We found out we were expecting a baby boy, Kyle and I went on a halibut fishing trip with Charlie and Shelley Romo and their children in Vancouver, Canada, Kyle and Trevin started fishing the Catfish Classic Tournament, and the highlight event...

Ethan Brian Gibson joined our family on August 7, 2017! Oh, how we love him!

2018 - In January, Kyle and I took Josh, Trevin, and Cooper to Las Vegas! We got them tickets to the Piano Guys for Christmas so we down for the concert. We left Ethan with my friend, Tiffany  Ross while we were gone.

Josh earned his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts in February. We had a great year!

2019 - Josh turned 12 in May, and thus in January, he was able to receive the priesthood and also go to the Temple.

On April 20, 2019, Porter James Gibson joined our family and just like that, we are a family of 7, with 5 handsome and amazing boys!

In July, Cooper turned 8 and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

In August, we took a family vacation to Rapid City, SD. We visited Devil’s Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and an arcade. We had a great time!

September Fun!

Cooper rocking his shades! Cute little stink!
Josh had his first day of 1st Grade on September 3.
Waiting for the bus...he has to get on at 7:25. Way to early for this mom, but he/we have gotten used to it!
The very first bus ride! He was excited!
We made it! He loved 1st grade and I missed him while he was gone, but all is well!
I have been experiencing a new phenomenon since school started! The sunrise is beautiful. I rarely enjoyed it before as I prefer to be asleep, but since I have a little boy to get off to school, we see more sunrises than normal!
Croix certainly does not lack for love and attention at our house! I couldn't find Trevin one  afternoon and found him using Croix as a pillow. They were just chillin outside!
Cooper has decided that he doesn't need naps anymore, so on the days that he doesn't take one, he often literally  crashes and just passes out, as you can see. He just flopped over while they were watching TV.
More Trevin and Croix just hanging out!

 Another beautiful sunrise!
Trevin found this praying mantis and had to hold it, so I went outside with him and caught it. He carried it around for a long time. He was swinging with it on his hand and let it crawl all over him. It was pretty funny. I told him that was fine as long as he was nice to it. Finally Josh came in and told me that Trevin had buried it. When I asked him why, he got teary and said, "I really had to go potty and I didn't want it to fly away!" So, I told him to tell me and I would hold it for him. Cute boy!

One more beautiful sunrise! I am truly blessed! I have the best view of the sunrise in the morning and the sunset at night from our house! Our roman blinds broke and wouldn't go up anymore on the front window. So, I had to take them down for the sole reason of my sunset view. I wanted to see the sunset every night! We had a fun September.

We celebrated my birthday at the beginning of the month (I didn't take any pics.). Kyle has some I will have to find. Anyway, we took the boys to the Eastern Idaho State Fair and enjoyed that in the rain, then I got a new pistol and we went shooting with our good friends, Doug and Mitzi Pruitt and then we went to Pocatello to Red Lobster...my favorite! It was a great night spent with great friends.

August!

Josh's 2nd tooth is gone! He gets so excited when he has a loose tooth! He has pulled them both out by himself!
 Sticker mask!
We went to La Grande, Oregon to find a place for us to live and blew a tire on the way home. Long story short, Kyle applied for a Flight Nurse job in Idaho Falls a couple of months ago. He didn't get that spot because they have to give priority to their own employees first. But, they had a base opening in Pocatello and told him to apply for that position. We did and got the job! We were both ecstatic to see Kyle's dreams coming true! He gave his 2 weeks before he was supposed to leave town for training. The very day that was supposed to have his last ICU shift (the day after we replaced the well and wiring for our well), we found out that the base was not opening in Pocatello and he didn't have a job. "But, we are opening a base in La Grande, OR and you can work there!" We thought about it, and decided to take that position until a spot opens here in Idaho Falls, or in Pocatello. We also decided to move there temporarily so he wouldn't have to drive 8 hours each way. We found a place to live, or so we thought. We were told that someone offered the guy $2000 for rent in that house, instead of the $1000 he was asking. So, we have no place to live there and have decided to stay here in our house and have Kyle drive back and forth for a while and see how that works for now!
The sunrise! I very, very rarely see these!! It was really pretty due to all of the smoke from all of the fires in Idaho!
We had a family day in Yellowstone National Park that day after we got back from Oregon. Trevin loves all insects and found this pretty one in Yellowstone.
Playing in the water when we stopped for a picnic lunch!
Grandma Tammie with Remmie and Judson
 Daddy and Cooper.
 All of the Rumsey Grandkids!
 Old Faithful

 Almost all of the grandkids!

We saw one buffalo way out in the field!
 Beautiful view in Yellowstone Park!
This is what happens when Cooper doesn't have a nap...he collapses while watching TV. Cute stinker!
 Slip 'N Slide!
Napping while watching his favorite show, The Lorax!
This boy and his dog! He loves Croix. We inherited Brian's dog after we bought our house and the boys love him and he loves the boys! Cooper but a bow in Croix's hair, as Kyle says. Croix is so patient with Cooper and just sits there while Cooper loves on him, gives him hugs, pokes his eyes, etc.
 Swinging in the Rain!
 Cooper found Mommy's make-up!
A hawk was sitting in the top of one of our pine trees and a sparrow hawk was dive bombing it. We watched for a long time as the hawk kept squawking and putting his wings out to avoid it.

July 2013

We (meaning me) built Josh's K'nex Ball Machine. It was pretty fun! He used his own money to buy this set and a roller coaster set, so we (I) built it!
Josh lost his first tooth in the end of June! He was pretty excited about that!
The Coopster turned 2 on July 1st!! Happy Birthday Cooper! He is admiring his balloons!
Green Chocolate Chip Pancakes for breakfast! It is okay to have dessert for breakfast, right?!
Dinosaur cupcakes, made by yours truly! Our house was so hot, the frosting was melting and drooping before I could even squeeze it out of the bag! Yes, it gets 90+ degrees in our house in the summer!

Spiderman and Hulk cars and figurines!

Happy Birthday Cooper! We love you so much and we are so grateful to have you in our family!
4th of July!! We are waiting for the parade in Menan, ID to start. I have decided to avoid Idaho Falls on 4th of July! I hate all of the people! I like little old Menan!
We spent the afternoon at my Grandpa Lewis Hanson's house. We sat in the alley behind his house to watch the fireworks, but after waiting 45 minutes for them to start, we decided to head home. They started right after we left, so we watched them in the rearview mirror on the way home.
We had our own little firework show at Grandpa and Grandma Tammie's house!
The boys have swords instead of sparklers. They loved it! It is amazing what you can buy in Missouri for fireworks! It was fun!
The next day, we went camping for the Fullmer Reunion at Loristica Campground, above Mackay, ID. It was lots of fun! The boys loved being boys! Cooper playing in the dirt!
This was naptime for Cooper and Judson. We turned on a movie (don't judge!!) so they would sit still and fall asleep. It worked like a charm and we didn't have to fight them to get to sleep! We may or may not have used the same trick at night time to get them to bed (really, don't judge!!)
Josh, Trevin and Talan kept asking to watch a show, which we wouldn't let them do while we were camping (we reserved that for the babies at naptime and bedtime!!And I guess they aren't really babies and I shouldn't still be calling them that!) So, we sent them on a scavenger hunt for different colored flowers, the biggest and smallest rocks, and the longest sticks! Here are the boys carrying their big sticks back to camp and they did amazing getting really long sticks!!

The boys convinced Aunt Stinky to go look for grasshoppers. Actually, Trevin kept looking for grasshoppers to through at Stinky, so she went with them to prevent that from happening. Stinky HATES grasshoppers. It may or may not be because we threw them at her as kids. Haha!
Shooting BB guns with Daddy. They played in the pool before that and Cooper's diaper was leaking the gel, so he took it off. He watched stark naked while the boys shot the guns.
We went to Krupp Scout Hollow with the Pruitt's to have hot dogs and smore's. We had the huge marshmallows and Josh decided that 2 of them stacked was a good idea!
Papa with 5 of his boys! Cooper and Tyson up front with him and Josh, Trevin and Brant in the back!
The boys and I came home from town to no water, so we had a friend come and help us pull up the water pump to check it out. We couldn't tell if it was bad or not, so we replaced it. It wasn't the problem...still no water. So, we replaced the wiring and magically had water again!
Jumping off the swings into the pool is the only way to play!
Beautiful sunset outside my front window and beautiful moon outside the back window!
