Five Months!

Today my baby is FIVE months old! Wow, time has gone by so quickly!!

I have no idea what she weighs, although I'd say she's around 16 lbs now! She's getting so big! She is wearing 6-9 month pajamas (her thighs are too big for the 3-6 month ones now) and sometimes wears other 6-9 month clothes too! She's a pro at eating rice cereal, and not a fan of oatmeal cereal. I need to take the time to make some veggie purees for her to see how she likes them, maybe that will be my next post.
Emma was so excited for some cereal!

Emma loves to look at the colorful pictures in books, we spend time reading each day!

Emma has mastered rolling over... not just from her back to her tummy, but she just keeps going! A few days ago she rolled over and grabbed the remote control and started pushing buttons. She managed to turn on the playstation3, so I laughed and sent a picture to Chris. He suggested I pull out one of our "extra" remotes (we use a universal remote control, so remotes that come with a device end up in a box) and let her play with it. Emma's new favorite toy is her PS3 remote!

Yesterday I said "let's take a picture for daddy!" and she flashed me this smile!
She loves this giraffe that her Aunt Kristi made her!

This picture is from this morning. She loves this giraffe as well.
Basically... Emma LOVES giraffes.

Four Months

4 Month Stats:

Weight: 15 lbs
Height: 24.25 inches

Emma LOVES her Sophie giraffe!

Look at those thighs :)
Emma figured out how to roll from her back to her tummy. At first she would freak out and scream every single time because she couldn't get back onto her back... but she's getting better at holding her head up and now she doesn't hate it as much! This past week she has suddenly figured out how to roll from her tummy to her back, but sometimes her arms get in the way and make it really hard for her. She still screams sometimes from her crib because she'll pin herself up against the railing and have nowhere to roll.
Emma has gotten better at holding her head up!

Emma flashes this smile all the time now!

Emma got to start eating solids after her 4 month appointment. So far she's only had rice cereal, we're still working on swallowing.

At 4 months Emma had to say "see ya later" to one of her bff's who was moving. Our good friends moved to Houston this past weekend. These two pictures are from the day I went to help them pack. Emma is 2 months younger than her friend, but definitely weighs more! Just like she was supposed to, Emma cried when her friend left, although the nasty poopy diaper she had may have contributed to her tears. We were so sad for our friends to leave, but are excited for them to have a new adventure. They'll be back sometime this month to get their stuff out of storage, and we hope to hit up Sea World with them while they're here! We're also starting to plan our first trip to Houston!
