Fun with Baby Grant

We are just having the best time with Grant!!! The other night after we got him ready for bed he was so content that I decided to sit him in his big boy bed and take more pictures. I also love to just take random pictures throughout the day to capture some of the sweetest moments. We have had lots of fun visitors as well this week and Grant has enjoyed every second along with mommy. Today we had our first little friend come see us, baby Anna Wells. We had to capture some of cutest moments with of course more pictures. Here are the latest......

Baby Grant and Friends....

Well we had a few little outings this weekend and so enjoyed our time with baby Grant and some of our dearest friends. Brian and Jocee had us over to watch the SEC championship game along with Matt and Jenny. We had a blast and Grant enjoyed himself snuggling with Uncle Brian, Aunt Jocee, Uncle Matt and Aunt Jenny!!!! It was really nice to be with our friends and share some special time with Grant. Oh yeah....and Grant really wanted Alabama to win since his favorite color is red these days. Just before the get together though, Matthew and I dressed Grant in one of is sweet little Christmas outfits that Mimi (my mom) got for him and took some fun pictures. Here they are......

Grant's first few weeks.....

Ok, So I have been a bit slow on blogging and have had great intentions everyday to try and update but my time has truly been filled taking care and learning how to be a mommy to baby Grant . Each day has been so sweet and special that I wonder what the next day is always going to bring. But...I truly try to stop and pause and just enjoy each little moment with Grant since they seem to change and grow so quickly. The past few weeks have been wonderful and filled with so much excitement and love. We are truly humbled to have Grant in our lives and still feel in total awe that he is OUR baby!!!! My mom stayed and helped us for 2 weeks which was super special time and we so appreciate all of her love and help. We have taken so many pictures and I plan on doing a better job in keeping the blog updated between nursing, changing multiple diapers, baby bath time etc....... So here we go.....enjoy... and there will be lots more to come!!!!!!

Home Sweet Home!

What a wonderful feeling to finally be home! Grant and Mommy were discharged Monday night and have spend the past two days settling in. It's such a joy to be in a more comfortable setting while we're learning how to be parents. Baby Grant had his first visit with the pediatrician today, and all is perfect. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers while we were still in the hospital and NICU.

Day Three Update

The Kroplin family is doing well on Day 3 of Grant's life. It has been another good day. We were able to spend some precious moments with him today, including moments with Mimi and Granddaddy (my parents), his Aunt Jenna, and other family and friends. Baby Grant is doing well, and we are hopeful we can all go home tomorrow. He is already the light of our lives, and has stolen all of our hearts! Here are some pictures from the day.

Update - Day Two

Today has been a good day. Mom and baby are feeling well, and Dad is still in awe. Mimi and Grandaddy (JB's parents) were able to spend time with baby Grant today, feeding him and rocking him to sleep. We just cannot seem to get enough of our little addition and are loving every second of parenthood. We look forward to being able to go home very soon. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Grant's First Day

Baby Grant is doing well on his own today. He's off the ventilator and currently enjoying his first meal from his mommy. We are over the moon and in awe of this sweet little blessing in our lives. We thank you all for your continued prayers.

He's Finally Here!!!

We are thrilled to announce the birth of our son William Grant Kroplin. Baby Grant arrived at 12:08am on Friday, November 14, weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz. and measuring 21 inches. After a long labor and eventual c-section, both mom and baby are recovering well, and dad is ecstatic. Baby Grant ended up swallowing some fluid as he entered the world, which compromised his breathing some and sent him to the NICU, but he is currently doing just fine. We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We'll try to update the blog again later.
