Emma got baptized, Clark got his baby blessing and Ella turned five today. What a glorious day! Aunt Staci gave the talk on baptism and confirmation (which was really great) and Robbie did the baptism and confirmation. After the meeting we finally gave Clark his baby blessing and then we went home to party for Ella's birthday.
Santa came and left a cache of toys! I think he went a little overboard this year. Jack and Ella also exchanged gifts this year. They had apparently worked it out beforehand that they would each ask Santa for a present for the other one, and when it showed up on Christmas morning, they would just walk their presents across the street and exchange. This way they didn't have to spend any money on each other. Brilliant! Anyway, Santa brought Ella a Turbo Robot Megaship and Jack a dollhouse and they made the switch on Christmas morning.
Christmas Eve this year, was as usual, a blast! We ate pizza, decorated ornaments for the Christmas Tree, had a nativity pageant ( Emma got to be Mary in this one), sang Christmas songs and exchanged presents. To me, it just gets funner every year. The kids got to pick a favorite Christmas carol for us all to sing and when it was Darius' turn, he wanted to sing Santa Baby! We all put on our most seductive voices and started singing, but unfortunately none of us knew all the words. Hilarious. A great time was had by all!

Let the gift giving begin! Yesterday Grandpa Gary and Grandma Toni came over and gave us their Christmas gifts. The kids got these awesome blankets that obviously have an animal head, but also little place to put the hands, and they are huge. They are also a huge hit with the kids. I've tried to put them away for a bit, but the kids wont have it. Thank you Grandpa Gary and Grandma Toni!!!

Emma celebrated her eighth birthday party at build a bear workshop, again. the kids all loved it and the best part is mom didn't have to do anything but show up, party and pay. Emma invited Darius and Arianna from her school class and the other kids were Jack, Ella, and Christopher. We couldn't get Christopher to stuff an animal, but no worries, he picked up a stuffed motorcycle and a tiny Hannah Montana guitar that he wouldn't let go of. It was quite the party! Oh!, and nice face Jack!
Last night Ella and Jack made their theatrical debut in the Happy Time Preschools Nativity. This was seriously one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I had to do some serious coaching so that Ella would stay in character as Mary. I asked her, "Does Mary suck on her hair?" No. "Does Mary twirl around during the pageant?' No. "Does Mary play with the tree or the lights or touch other people during the pageant?" No. Anyway she and Jack were both brilliant as the stars of the show.
