Valentines and Shadows birthday!

I still haven't found my camera cord, my Diane has one that might work, but for now here are two more grainy pics from my cell phone. Kenzie wanted to have heart pancakes for Valentines breakfast, which sounds cutsie! Adam wanted seaweed and octopus for lunch (top ramen and hot dogs) not so valentine cutsie, but I thought pretty cute for a boy!

Kids-

Conversation I heard this morning while pretending to still be asleep:
Andrew "Kenzie see my new baseball bat (whack whack whack whack whack)" (Kenzie said he was hitting the wall and his toy box-it is a foam bat)
Knock, knock on my bedroom door then Andrew yelling "Dad, Kenzie took away my baseball bat"
Richard "that is because you were hitting things"
Andrew "Adam where is my airplane?"
Adam "You left it outside and Shadow (our dog) ate it"
Andrew "No"

Poor Andrew-all he wants to do is play and all the older kids want to do is give him a bad time!!
(His airplane was in the car!)

Lost Camera Cord

So I sat down to blog about Adam turning 6, and getting to have his first "friend" birthday party, and wouldn't ya know I can't find the cord to the camera! I've looked in all my usual spots, so that is not a good sign that it is lost somewhere.  Anyway I survived a party of 5 Kindergarten boys!  They were the sweetest group of boys, and luckily the weather outside was awesome, so we spent most of the time outside playing hide-and-go-seek, and doing an obstacle course.  Adam really wanted to play tag too, but we ran out of time.  Adam got a few sets of Legos for his birthday and he was really excited and put them all together that afternoon!  I am so grateful to have Adam, he keeps my days fun, and he is always full of questions, that even keep me thinking!  He loves playing outside, riding his bike, playing with matchbox cars, sound like most of your 6 year old boys out there!

My Grandma had hip replacement surgery about 2 weeks ago, I got to go up last Fri/Sat and help her out a little.  She probably doesn't really need my help, she is one of those "go-gettem" kinda ladies, but I love to hang out with her. She still needs help transferring from her chair to her bed, etc.  She kept telling me that I should have brought the kids because she needs "a little action around this place."  She is always so upbeat and looking for ways to make life fun.  The other day while my Aunt and Step-Grandma where out shopping, my Grandma wrote a note that she had gone out for a ride with my Uncle up to the mountains and she would be back later, and then had my Uncle tape it on the door. Then had him lock the door. (She is not supposed to be going for car  rides yet) She of course hadn't gone anywhere, but just wanted to get my Aunt and Step-Grandma! She is also so practical and realistic about the little things in life-I still remember as a kid her letting my younger cousin paint her toenails, and of course the nail polish was all over her toes, and my older cousin said-"Grandma why did you let him do that, he made such a mess" and she said "oh he wanted to, it was fun, it will wash!"  She is so realistic about the bigger things in life to- "if it is meant to be, it will be and I am ok with that"  I feel so blessed to have her as my grandma and to learn so much from her, and have so much fun with her!  She is so amazing and I love her!
I may have figured it out?!?

Second test

Blogging from my phone

I thought it would be fun if I could figure out how to blog from my phone.  Well the "test post" worked, but then I tried to actually post something and nothing.  Anyone out there blog from their phone?  How do you do it?!

My buddy Andrew

I get to spend my mornings with this cute guy.  Mostly he just whines at me all morning that he us hungry-growing boys.  It is so fun to watch him play and be creative all on his own, and of course he loves being able to watch what he wants on TV, and play with whatever toys he wants, with no one to take them away!  He really wants to go to the library, which we have tried before with minimal success, but I think we are going to try again to today.  He is a Sunbeam now, I am glad that he has the sweetest most patient teachers in the whole world, because he is a busy boy.  I guess he tries the whole "I need my mom, I need my dad thing", but they have never brought him to me, so I know they love him just like I do!   Here are the pictures I took for his birthday, they totally show Andrew-sat still for one picture, then needed to ride his bike, then show me his dance move, or fighting-you never can be sure!
