Ideas Welcome

So the last two weeks every member of our family has been sick- Everyone, even Richard, had a visit with the DR. (Richard never goes to the DR.) Anyway everyone has been on antibiotics except for Andrew, he is to little, but he has been on breathing treatments to help clear his lungs. So needless to say between taking care of sick kids and being sick myself our house is thrashed! So today being Monday I wanted to start getting it back in order, however I have no desire or motivation. By 10 I was already annoyed with some of the days events and found myself on the computer, so anyone out there have any good ideas for me to get myself motivated to get off the computer anf get cleaning. Send em on over because I will probably just be here on the computer till you do!!

Adams Turn

okay here are some fun pictures of Adam that I took the other day between his swim lessons, and haning out at Kenzies soccer practice. The weather has been beautiful the last couple of days.
Adam the fish! I love the swim school at the gym by our house, and love this teacher Lindsay! Kenzie started swim lessons with her during the fall when she was in Kindergarten and by the time summer hit, I had no fears about her swimming by herself. Last summer I tried putting Adam in a group lesson, and he was the kid that would just jump in and go under when the teacher wasn't ready. So this year we are doing private lessons- pricey yes, but really worth it!

This is Adam practicing his "kickers". Linsday gets him to go up and back a few times doing different skills, and then he can do "Humpy Dumpty" which is just him jumping in, but they sing Humpty Dumpty-

Here are some shots of his humpty dumpty in action-

Sometimes I totally don't know what is going on in that kids head, like when I walked by the curio cabinet I have in the front hallway to find this-------look in the bottom
There is a red measuring cup with crackers in it stuffed in the bottom. If he was trying to hide them he didn't do to well considering he hid them where I could see them!

Overall Adam is a crack up, his latest thing to say is Oh sure- like when you ask him to do something, or if he wants something it is oh sure, but his sure sound more like Shore!!

The Newest Nephew

Richards Sister Jessica had her baby on St. Patricks Day! His name is Weston, and he was 9lbs 13oz, 21" inches long. When we got the first picture I laughed, I couldn't believe how much hair he has, and how dark it is, his older brother Tobins is pretty blond! It is super cute! Welcome to the family Weston!

Back in Business Baby

So I got my camera back and dadaddaaaaa.... it works great again- Like my friend Angelee said it was the lense. The paper said something about it being jammed- so glad it was under warranty! So here are some things I have been taking pictures of the last few days....

First up....AndrewSo Andrew has gotten a lot bigger and gives huge smiles since the last time I posted pics of him. He is 4 months old now. He can smile, has rolled over a few times stomach to back and weighs around 15lbs. He feels like a bag of concrete when you pick him up!Here is a bunch of silly pictures I took of Mr. Andrew after his bath, he was so happy until....Here..... it looks like he is saying, no more pictures mom!
Here is a super cute picture of Kenz and Andrew, while Adam had swim lessons (those pictures will come soon!)
So I have about 20 more pictures that I want to blog, but I of course have a million other things going on and need to go check the laundry and start dinner!!
Look for more to come.....

Thoughts about my MOM

When I was younger I used to imagine what kind of Mom I would be, and of course I always thought how I would do things different than my Mom. Now that I am a Mom I just hope that I can be half a good a mom as my Mom is!

When I find myself being short with my kids, I just think how did my Mom have so much patience with 6 kids. The only time I ever remember her being really upset was once when I was 6 or 7 she made a pie for some contest, and we poked our fingers in it. The only reason I remember her being upset about that is because I remember her calling my dad and crying about it, but I don't remember getting in trouble. Lately as I drive me kids from their various activites- again I think, how did my Mom drive 6 kids to all of our activites- I only have 2 to get from one thing to another and I feel like I am constantly driving. In high school I was on the Cross Country ski team, and she used to drive us to our snow pratice every Wednesday which was an hour there and an hour back, usually getting home between 7-8pm. I was the oldest- I honestly have no idea where my younger siblings were, or who was watching them- I think about that a lot as I struggle to get babysitters sometimes for my boys so I can help in Kenzies class. I don't ever remember her complaining that she couldn't do it.

Last night I got up to feed Andrew at about 12:30, only to have Kenzie come into my room with throw-up down her pjs. Richard is out of town and so I told her to go get changed and get in my bed until I was finished feeding Andrew and I would change her bed. In the middle of putting new sheets on her bed, I thought I wonder how many times my Mom had to do this!

My Mom has always been as amazing example of how important the church is to her. It was just recently (like yesterday) I realized that my Mom was only baptized a few years before I was born, yet I have an amazing testimony of the Gospel because of her. I never once have heard or seen her question the church or the gospel. She is so strong, I know when I was little my Dad was Elders Quorm President and my youngest brother was about a year my Dad was called into the bishopric. So there she was with 6 of us- again I can barley do it with 3!

Most recently I have watched as she is am amazing Grandma- my kids love and adore her so much, and I love that she loves being a Grandma.
So Mom- I truly hope that somewhere during my childhood some of your amazing Mothering traits sunk in, and that I can be as patient, loving, supportive, for my kids before they are grown and gone.
I Love you Mom!
