Happy 6th Birthday Kenzie

Happy Birthday Kenzie!! Have you ever found that when your childrens birthday falls on a weekend there are a lot more parties!! Kenzie had 3 this year! An extended Family, a Family, and then a friend party. What a lucky girl!! Opening presents with Grandma & Grandpa Jones on their camping trip to Almanor
Opening presents at home at her family party!
Playing with her friends at Chuck E Cheeses.
The cake that she decorated herself (she wanted to!)

Kenzie is such an amazing girl. This past weekend it really hit me how she is growing up. She is a great helper! She really tries her best in all that she does. She loves to sing. She is becoming an awesome swimmer. I love it when she laughs and smiles, and now is trying to read everything that she can. Everyone says that you turn around and they are grown and I am really starting to feel that.

The Busiest Fathers Day Ever!!

Happy Fathers Day!! From your two little monsters! Who love you more than any other monsters in the world!! What a weekend!! Have you ever had a day that was going to be so full you just weren't even sure that many things could fit in one day?! That was us yesterday!! It of course started out with a Happy Fathers Day breakfast, and the kids giving their dad their gifts. Kenzie made him a stepping stone, and Adam made him a little frame with fish on it. They made him cards and told him Happy Fathers Day a bunch, it was super cute. We then headed off to church, were Richard was released as the Elders Quorm President, and given a new calling to serve as the 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. It has been a little overwhelming for me, but I have faith in the Lord that this call is from Him, and we will be strengthen through it. They also called a new Primary Presidnecy, and I am the secretary. After Sacrament Richard was ordained a High Priest by his Dad. Richards Dad gave him an amazing blessing. He was then set apart by a member of the Stake Presidency, who also gave him a great blessing. After that I rushed off to Primary to help set up for our Fathers Day Event. We invited all the Dad to come to Primary and have Dounghnuts with their kids. It was really cute, and the dads really enjoyed it! So after church we went to Richards parents for dinner, with Great-Grandpa Jones, and Grandma Margaret, only to have to leave shortly after eating, because Richard was speaking at a fireside for the student ward at 7:30. We didn't get home till 10:30 and I was just exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally. I feel truly blest to have a Husband that is willing to serve in whatever capacity he is called. He is also a wonderful Husband and Father! As he introduced himself at the fireside last night he talked about being married and having 2 children and one on the way, and his face just lit up. I thought it was so cute that he could be that happy about being a Father and having children! I feel so blest, and eventhough yesterday was so busy, it was so full of good things!! I love a day full of good things!

Visits with Cousins

Richards sister Jessica and her son Tobin came to visit a couple of weekends ago. The cousins had so much fun together, eventhough Toby is only 8 months old. The kids love playing with him. We even got in a visit to see Great-Grandpa Jones. He enjoys watching the kids, and all their energy.
Kenzie and Toby, she enjoyed trying to calm him when he was upset

Meet Corndog

No, he is not ours!! Corndog belongs to my brother and his wife. He is only 8 weeks old, and so the perfect age and size for the kids to want to hold him all the time. I think he spent all of 15 min not being in someones lap!! I hope that he gets along well with my brothers St. Bernard, Hudson?!? Hudson could drown him in slobber!

Kenzie on her Last day of Kindergarten

I can't believe that the school year is over, but here we are. Today Adam and I and Richards Parents went to her Kindergarten Celebration. They sang a few songs and recited some poems. I had made a little video of the kids saying what their favorite thing was about Kindergarten and their teacher, so we presented that and they watched it. Then they had ice cream. What a way to end the year!

Happy Anniversary Richard!!

Richard admitted the other day that he doesn't look at my blog, so I decided I could write about him, and he would never know (unless one of you out there tell him!!) So Sunday was our 7th anniversary. We went out shopping and to dinner on Saturday, which was super nice. This year has been an amazing year. I know that I love Richard now more than ever, and feel so blest for the responsiblity he takes in taking care of our family. The day I met Richard he was on his way to the Stake Center for an interview about receiving the priesthood in preparation for getting ready for his mission. He was so excited and I remember thinking that was really cool because I had never seen a young man so excited! Well 10 years, two missions, marriage, and 2.5 little ones later here we are. I am amazed everyday when he gets up and goes to work, and then calls me about how much fun he is having! I realized how lucky I am that he works and I can stay home and "hang" out with the kiddos. Thank you Richard! I love you and Happy Anniversary!!10 years ago, the weekend Richard and I started dating! Hehehehe! Don't we look dorky?!? What is with our hair?!? Both of us.June 1st 2001, I think we look quite a bit better in this picture

I gotta bite!!

Saturday was Kids Fishing Day at Horseshoe Lake in Bidwell Park. We took Kenzie and Adam and met up with Kevin, Grady, and Luke. It was a little crowded with all the kids, but it was really fun for the kids. Kenzie caught the first fish and pretty much got it to the shore all by herself

Luke just chillin' while the other kids fish

Of course Adam and Grady thought the most exciting thing was the container of worms
