I am still alive really-

Ahhhh- I really don't know where the time has gone, but I realized I haven't posted anything for quite some time. But it isn't going to happen now, because we are getting ready to go on a mini-vacation. I am just on the internet getting directions to the Jelly Belly factory- hopefully I can post some fun stuff later, about Christmas, Kids, Snow Trips, and more!! Hope everyone has a great new year-
PS- We still have ants- I am afraid they will "take over" while we are gone!!

Have I Mentioned I Hate Ants?

So this morning Adam gets up and says there are Ants in his room- so I go check it out. Once I get under the layer of toys (why can't kids just play with sticks anymore?) there is not just ants, but a huge black line of ants. I had to take Kenzie to school, so I told Adam we would clean his room, and vacuum the ants after that. When I got home, I was in the kitchen and notice, yes ants coming out from under the dishwasher and going all the way across the kitchen, Yuck. I hate using posion in the kitchen, so I sprayed them with Windex, it kills them and then I use a little posion right where they were coming out. As I am wiping them up, I notice more coming out from behind the fridge. So more windex, more papertowels, and a lot of frustration. As I am dong all of this Adam tells me there are Ants in the TV room, and sure enough ants on the end table. AHHHHHHH. I don't know why, but I get so upset when I have to spend a day cleaning up ants. I need to look at the positive side, now my house is really clean.

My Little Bro-

So I was on a friends blog and she had this really beautiful picture on her blog- that is my brother and his wife, at their ward Christmas Party. Isn't it the coolest picture. Thanks Lori for taking it and sharing it with me.

This morning I was looking for a picture and found some other cute pictures of my brother- and I figured it is his birthday this month and so I will embarass him and his wife Mindy with some cute pictures- funny thing is though they don't have the internet so they wont see my silly little post, but my sisters will!
Is that really my brother- the one that used to torment me for holding Richards hand?!
Nic and Miss Sassafras
His wife Mindy and nephew Braeden
My brothers favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk- this was their Halloween costumes a few years ago.
Happy Birthday Nic! I'm so grateful for you, your example and friendship, and of course for bringing Mindy into our family! You are a great brother, uncle and all around stubborn guy!! Love you!

No Thanksgiving Pictures

So our Thanksgiving Trip to my families was fun, but.. I wasn't feeling well and didn't push the picture thing, so we only have a few of all the cousins together, which are of course cute, but I didn't get any of my family which is what I really wanted, or any of Andrew in his "Babys 1st Thanksgiving" shirt. We did have a nice trip though and it was nice to see all of my sisters and their kids, everyone is getting so big- it is so crazy how now that they are older, we really didn't see them for 2 days straight, they were just playing together the who time.
It was so wonderful to have Richard there with me- Thanksgiving Day I ended up with some post-labor "not so fun stuff." Richard and my Dad gave me a blessing and within an hour I was feeling good again, and was able to join the rest of my family at my grandmas house. I unfortunatly missed the memorial for my great-grandpa, but I didn't end up in the ER, which is were I thought I might be headed. Richard just sat with me and helped me relax. He has been taking care of everything for the last- well pretty much since Andrew came, and I am so grateful for his willingness to do so. He had to go back to work today and I really miss him.

Being a Big Boy

I have been so impressed with Adam and how he has taken on the role of big brother. He hasn't reverted, he hasn't throw tantrums, he actually has grown up so much, and wants to know where "our" baby is and what he is doing. The best was yesterday though- we are trying to pack to get ready to go spend Thanksgiving with my family, so we were cleaning the kids room trying to find all the dirty laundry. I told Kenzie to take hers to the laundry room and sort it. So then Adam asked if he should take his to the laundry room, and I said yes of course. A little while later I hear the dryer buzz, and I thought didn't the dryer already buzz? Then Adam comes back to his room and says- Mom I don't know what button to push. I told him that was okay, not really knowing what he was talking about. A little while later I went to move the laundry, and all of Adams dirty clothes were in the washer (on top of a load that needed to go into the dryer). No biggie I thought I will just pull them out, as I pulled them out I realized there was soap on them. Adam had put his laundry in the washer, added soap and was trying to turn it on?!? How cute is that? I thought it was so sweet. Of course I had to rewash what was already in there, and clean up the soap spilled on the floor, but it was just so sweet how much he wanted to help, he is 2 and doing his own laundry!!

Somthing to Blog about!!

So when I wrote in my last post, the next time I post it will probably be to tell you about a baby, I really didn't think we would be having a baby 2 days later. None of my sisters, or even my mom I believe has ever had a baby come early, it has always been due dates or later, in fact I really thought that I would be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. So imagine my surprise when I went to the Dr. on Friday and I was dilated to a 4! Needless to say Richards fishing trip for the next day was cancelled and I went home and packed for the hospital- yes I wasn't even packed yet, I had just barley gotten out the baby clothes, and washed them the day before (they were still in the dryer) I am usually so prepared for things, it was actually comical to me that I wasn't ready. But everything worked out just fine, and at 7:04 pm we welcomed
Andrew Curtis Jones 8lbs 10oz, 22 1/2 inches to the world!

Everyone is adjusting really well- not sleeping so much yet, but getting better! So enjoy the pictures of our new baby boy!

Nothing to Blog about?!?

Can it really be possible I have nothing to blog about lately. I really can't think of anything new and exciting that is going on though. Our weekend was very low key. I tried to finish my Christmas Shopping, and Richard took the kids on a dump/recycling run. Sorry no fun pictures there?!? Sunday I took the kids to visit my parents, they spoke in their ward about their mission. It was a nice trip except for Kenzie getting car sick on the way there and puked as we pulled into the church parking lot. Luckily I am getting smarter and had the back-up clothes all ready to go! Again sorry no pictures there!! Now it is just getting ready for the baby week. I can hardly believe that by the end of the month there will be a baby at our house! So stayed tuned- that may be the next time I post, to let you know if a Bob or Barabra has joined our family (and no those are not names we have chosen for the baby!!)

October Activities

So here is a look at what the kids have been up to this month to celebrate Halloween. Richard planted and grew some amazing pumpkins, the kids were so excited. I was happy too because when Kenzie went to the pumpkin patch on her field trip they only had small pumpkins I mean cantalope size and smaller. What fun is that for 6 year olds! So it was great she had a huge pumpkin waiting for her at home. I just think Adam is hillarious in this picture, I wasn't there so I am not sure what the expression is for?! Kenzie was counting how many pumpkins they picked.
Kenzies big pumpkin.Carving pumpkins at Grandma and Grandpas house. I was surprised, although I really shouldn't be with my kids, they just stuck there hands right in the pumpkins and started pulling out seeds, and pumpkin guts. They really had fun.So here are the finished products! Richard and I were laughing at how each pumpkins kinda shows the personality of the person that carved it!! Can you guess who's is who's?!?

Kenzie the witch!! She really loved the costume, especially the hat. The dress has a hoop skirt, I thought was cute, so she was more of a cute witch than a scary witch!

Adam and his Monster Truck. Richard spent 2 nights making it, and of course Adam loved it. We were really surprised when we took the kids trick or treating downtown that no one really makes costumes any more. We only saw a couple others, one was a firetruck, and one was a family that was dressed like lego people. I was excited that his costume held up so well, so he can still play with it.

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!

Tagged Twice

So I have been tagged twice recently in two different "games" so here is the first-

Picture Tag- Take your fourth picture from your fourth folder and here it is--- This is a picture when Richard and I graduated from Chico State. I was just thinking I am not sure where I got this picture, because I don't remember having a camera while I was sitting there, but anyway here is! Oh and I am not in the picture either!!

Here is my second game of tag- Thanks Holly!!

So here are seven random/weird facts about me--
1. I hate wearing glasses- I love my contacts, yes I know most of you are used to seeing me in glasses right now- my contact prescription ran out and it is not advised to get an eye exam while pregnant because the hormones change your eyes. I can't wait to get new contacts!!
2. I can wake myself up from dreams sometimes, when I know I am in a dream and I don't like it, very very weird I think.
3. Except when pregnant I love to cook, well mostly I love to try out new recipies, I am not to good at making up my own though.
4. I grew up eating ketchup on my tacos- Richard still maked fun of me everytime we eat tacos.
5. My college degree is in German?! Ya don't ask what I am going to do with that- although I haven't done anything with it in the four years since I graduated!
6. I love listening to Armstrong aand Getty in th morning, I get the news and lots of laughs at the same time.
7. I am a little OCD when it come to organizing things, I like to organize and reorganize things- Not all my stuff in organized though, it is a new found obsession-
Thank you Deanna and Holly for tagging me!
Sorry I am breaking the rules- I'm not gonna tag this one I feel bad tagging people to do two "tags" - unless you feel so inclined to be tagged go for it (ya I am the one that always breaks chain 3-mails too!)

Respect

This morning as I was driving Kenzie to school she was asking about all the election signs posted in peoples yards. She was noticing all the yes on 8, because "they match what we have in our yard". Anyway it got me thinking about all the e-mails and stuff on peoples blogs I have been reading about their yes on 8 signs being stolen, etc. It just got me thinking isn't that a testament of Satan and how he uses evil to bring about his ways. Although I am voting yes on 8, others are allowed thier free agency to put up a no sign and I am not going to deface it or steal it, call them dirty names etc. I find it interesting that those that stand for truth and righteousness, also show respect for those with differing opinions. While those who think we are wrong, expect to the point of almost demanding that we accept and go along with their opinion. So as all of this is swirling in my head I get this email this afternoon from my Mom:

Hi Everyone! We came home to beautiful weather, tall trees, & Prop 8 :(...............Our son had spent several hundred dollars on 3 4x8 signs and they were defaced last night.....they say it is free speech.....

This is the second time that his signs have been vandalized. The first time the people were peeling the yes off. The signs are on private property. The neighbor saw the people doing it, they did it in the middle of the day! Anyway the neighbor told them they had no right to do that, and they said that it was their free speech?! To vandalize and trespass. The neighbor called my brother at work, and he sent his friend over to stop them. The people took off, and his friend tried to chase them, and go figure their car didn't have a licensce plate on it. Okay so I figure about three law breaking things there, and where did my brother break the law?!

I also heard a commercial this morning, saying that nothing will happen to the curriculum of schools if this passes etc, that it is wrong to use that argument etc. So if has nothing to do with schools, why did the teachers union donate 1 million dollars to the No on 8 campaign. In my mind that shows right there that it is going to affect our schools when they use their money to support it.

Through it all I feel so blest, that I have the Gospel, and can teach my children to have morals in a society where they are disappearing. That I can pray to a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers prayers. That He has given us a Prophet in these latterdays to lead and guide us. I am grateful for my family and know that it is part of our Heavenly Fathers plan and will help me to return to Him. I feel now that it is only going to get harder in this world, but having a strong foundation will allow us to countinue on positive and strong.

Welcome Home Elder and Sister Chittock

My parents returned home from thier mission yesterday! We went to Rough and Ready to welcome them home. Kenzie made a sign for them that said Welcome Home Elder and Sister Chittock. Then she and Adam picked out some balloons to hang on thier fence. My Grandma and Aunt brought flowers and stocked the fridge, and some sisters from their ward came and planted flowers around the front, and put more balloons around the yard. Kenzie and Adam were so excited to see them. Adam just kept running in circles, it was hillarious.

My parents with the Grandkids!
I am excited for them to be here, and to share all of their cool stories from their mission, how they met so many people, where able to share the legacy of the handcart pioneers with so many people, and of course just enjoy an amazing life as a missionary. My parents looked just like I did when I came home....lost. My Mom looked like she really missed it, and Dad just wasn't sure what to so with himeself. I am so grateful that they took the opportunity to serve, and I think it will just be the first of many!!
I love you Mom and Dad!

Monster Truck Madness

We took Kenzie to see the Monster Trucks about 3 years ago, and she hasn't stopped talking about it since, so I thought it would be fun to take the kids this year. They of course loved it, and now Adam asks everyday when we can go see the Monster Trucks again. The Big TrucksThe exciting freestyle round where they go around jumping cars, and flying through the air. It is really pretty amazing, and super loud!

Richards Trip to Denmark

Here are some really cool pictures of Richards Trip to Denmark. He really enjoyed it a lot and I am really glad that he had the opportunity to go. He even got to go into Germany a couple of times, so he brought me home some of my favorite chocolate and herb tea! I love European Tea and chocolate, well that is just a given. Hopefully next time I get to go too!! But I have enjoyed his pictures and stories, about all of his adventures.
This is a really famous street in Coppenahgen, he spent an afternoon there sightseeing with his parents. This is the statue of "The Little Mermaid" also in Coppenhagen, Richard said it is a really famous tourist attraction, but it is funny because it is actually a pretty small statue.Richar with his parents in front of The Little Mermaid. They had already been traveling around Europe for about 4 weeks, so they were in Coppenhagen and able to pick him up from the airport and take him around to all of these cool sites.Richard in front of a statue of Hans Christian Anderson. In front of Hans Christian Andersons house.

This is Richards friend Soren and his financee Christina, that Richard stayed with the rest of his trip. They are getting married this coming weekend. Aren't they cute!! Soren is a buyer for a huge baby/maternity store in Denmark, Richard said similar to like Babies R Us. Christina is a school teacher. Richard went and was a guest speaker in some of her classes one of his days there. He said it was really fun, and the students were really on top of stuff, they asked him questions anywhere from Do you have a hummer, to global warming, to what he thought about McCain and Obama, and all in English of course!

Since when is tomorrow 5 days Later!?!?

So I finally got around to getting the circus pictures off of my phone. It really isn't hard at all I just had to sit down and do it!! So here is proof that the kids loved the circus, and thier $4 cotton candy?!? I don't think they had even had it before and they were so insistant on having it.
This is pretty much how Adam watched the first 45 minutes or so of the circus, I don't think he said a word, he was so entranced. Cotton Candy beards, Adam started it, "Look Mom I look like Santa Claus"

Then Kenzie had to out do him! Adam liked the elephants the best, it is a bad picture, but the elephant stood on its two back legs and walked across the ring.

Not Gonna quit my day Job

So ya know when you go somewhere or someplace and you just think, how did those people end up with that job?! Tonight I had one of those experiences that made me grateful for my day job, and I guess more importantly for Richards day job, that lets me keep my day job of being a mom-
With that said, tonight I took the kids to the Circus, we had Free Tickets so why not?!? The kids had a lot of fun, and that is what it is all about anyway. I didn't tell them where we were going, just that it was a surprise. When we got to where you could see what it was we were going to Adam says, "oh the circus." How does he know what the circus is I have never taken him to one before!! Anyway as I watched I just thought, how hard of a life I think that would be to travel around to all different towns and have to put on your silly act. I also thought it was funny, how just a couple of people did most of the acts, but of course the acts were called a different name! I liked how one group was the Russian something, and then the same people came out to do a trampoline act later and then they were the Hernandez troupe?!? Silly- I just hope that those people really enjoy it, and that is really the life they want?! I just know it is not for me.
Sorry no pictures- Richard took the camera to Denmark with him, I took some with my phone, but I have to figure out how to get them to my computer. Maybe tomorrow!

Leaving on a Jet Plane........

So Richard left this morning to the airport in San Fran, off to Denmark on his great "bachelor" adventure! He has a friend in Denmark that is getting married, and WE have been trying to go to Denmark since we got married to visit him. So Soren(Richards Friend) called us in January to tell us he was proposing to his girlfriend, and they would be getting married in October. I was so excited and started planning to go right away, and then about march-----surprise---some little baby decided it wasn't waiting anymore to join our family. So here I sit almost 8 months pregnant, and Richard is going to Denmark. I am really excited for him though! He wasn't going to go without me, but over the summer I convienced him he should go, so I renewed his passport, and bought him a ticket to Copenhagen! It was weird when he left this morning, we have been apart for longer than a week before, thanks to work trainings and stuff, but he is just going to be soooo far! When he said goodbye I cried- I blame it on being pregnant! I know it will go by really fast, so I just hope he has a good time and enjoys it, and brings me back something cool!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICHARD

Today is Richards Birthday, and not just any birthday his 30th!! I felt bad because I think he really wanted to have something big, but too many factors led to a small party of just a few friends. He should know better than to turn an exciting number while I am pregnant!! Happy Birthday Richard
The cake- Richard loves banana ice cream, and I found a Banana Split Ice Cream cake with chocolate, vanilla, and banana ice cream in it. It was really good, but man I could feel some heat coming off of it!! I don't know what he wished for, but it will definatly come true, he got all 30 candles out in one small blow!!
Present time with the ever excited "present helpers". You would have thought I planned the gifts, even from his friends that came, it was all about hunting- oh and a golf ball from Andrew (that is Andrew in the blue)
Oh, this wan't hunting but a fishing book- all boy stuff anyway?!? Okay, so kinda a funny picture, (thanks Mindy for taking them!) but it shows my pregnant belly for those of you that want to see me pregnant. I feel like I am not that big for 30 weeks, but Richards Grandma said the other day that I was going to have a big baby. We will see what the doctor says tomorrow!
