And life does go on!!!!!!!

Dad went into the hospital last Thursday 12-6 and had his operation. All went very well. There will be plenty of ups and downs for him but I hope he realizes that his family will be there for him. He is well on his way to recovery. All the tubes are out except for a few and he is up and walking around the hospital floor on a regular basis. He wants to go home, who wouldn't, and recoperate in his own safe place. On Wednesday me, Angie, Noah, Karin and Mom went to visit him and that really boosted his spirits. Afterwards we all went to dinner at Applebee's and had a nice dinner. NO HIGHCHAIRS in the whole restaurant. As Angie would say "WE LIVE IN UTAH!!!!!!!! HIGHCHAIRS, HIGHCHAIRS,HIGHCHAIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" On Thursday Britt and Kenzie went with Mom to visit Grandpa. Again it really lifted his spirits. He so loves to see his Grandchildren and his Great Grandchildren. I guess he enjoys his own children as well but there is something about Grandkids!!!!!!!!! Right Curt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the cold and keep warm!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Life really does go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (at least for the time being)

Working with Grandpa

We had a fun little visitor on Saturday. Noah came over while his mom and dad went to the Utes game. Yeah Utes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While some people love to watch football Noah and Grandpa had alot of fun working outside. We are doing our driveway and Noah was a Great help. He also loved Grandpa's new wagon.

We sure had alot of leaves to rake up this year. Missy Meeka had a hayday. Absolutely loved playing in all the piles. Big piles at that.

Nikki's Shower

Today we went to Nikki's baby shower. Lots of people there. Boy Nikki, you are very populer. Kevin was there and fit right in. Me, Angie, Mom, Karin, Karli and Brittney gave her a Pack and Play and Angie made her the cutest diaper bag filled with goodies. The two new parents are expecting Brayden on November 12. Enjoyed myself and am excited for Kev and Nikki. After the shower went over to mom and dads and showed dad pics of Meeka. He really enjoyed seeing the pictures. I think he needs a little friend to keep him company. He is still pretty tired and miserable from all the treatments but is in good spirits. Love him lots!!!!!!!! On Friday Nate and Dannete got married. The Ariotti Family had a luncheon for them and I went with Angie, Doug and Noah. Nate is such a sweet young man. I hope he has a wonderful life!!!!!!!!

Still Here!!!

Haven't left yet. Still here. Just been really busy with getting my kitchen done, getting a fence and gates for the yard and, oh yes, taking care of Meeka the Menace!!!!!!!!! She is such a cute little dog. Had forgotten what it was like having a puppy, but it is all good. My Dad has finished his radiation and chemo for the time being. He sees the Dr. again next Thursday. Hopefully all will be well and they will tell him what is next. He has been through alot but is handling everything as well as can be expected. Angie is feeling much better and she and Doug will find out on November 17th whether this little one is girl or boy. Excited either way. They are such good parents and Mr. Noah is going to be an awesome BIG BROTHER!!!! Life does go on and I will try to start posting more often.

Meet Meeka!!!!!!!

Here is the new addition to our family. Her name is Meeka. Angie, of course, named her. Only Sam can pick the right animal and Angie the right name. Having her around is like having a baby. Getting up in the middle of the night. Scheduling her eating times, potty training and making her stop biting!!!!!!!! Sam has really taken her under his wing. He is a good Dad. The training is all up to him and he is doing and excellent job. The most fun is watching Macey and Luna getting used to her. Meeka just loves to chase Luna around the house. There have been hisses and growls but no major mishaps. Here are some pictures of the little one. Enjoy!!!!!!

It's Amazing

It is so amazing that when you have so much to tell everyone and post pics, it doesn't get done. I have a new puppy, Meeka a little Border Terrier, and I have taken a bunch of pictures but have not put them on my computer to show you all. Take my word for it she is a real cutie. If I say they are coming shortly I don't think anyone would believe me. The same with my kitchen. I have been getting my kitchen redone, and no pictures. Again, take my word for it, it is going to be sooooooo nice. Hopefully tonight I will get off my butt and download (or should I say have Sam download) the pictures. If I don't, just know that at some point I will have them posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here she is. The people that are selling us this little Border Terrier sent us this picture of our new addition to our every growing family. We get her on Sunday. She is flying here from Helena, Montana via Skywest. As soon as she arrives, I will take pictures and post them for all to see. Angie is going to pick out a name for her. She is the most excellent picker outer of pet names ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY

A Grandma yet again.... YEAH!!!!!!!!

I am going to be a Grandma again. Soooooooooooo excited. If this new little one is anywhere close to being like our Little Man, he or she will be a keeper. Even if he or she is not like our Little Man, he or she will be a keeper. Angie has been feeling pretty crappy lately (just like with Noah). Soon (hopefully) it will come to an end and she can start preparing for all the fun things to come. My brother is due with 2 new Grandchildren within 5 months of each other. One of them which is Britts will be due right around the same time as Angie. How funny it would be if they turn out to be very close. Well, I am very excited to be having another Grandchild. Noah has been more fun than I ever could have imagined and he is a very smart, and handsome little guy. Love you three, Angie, Doug and Noah and of course your little bundle of joy yet to come.

Olympic Park Party With Karli and Karin

Karli invited me, along with her mom to come to the Olympic Park Employees Party. It was sure alot of fun. We got to see the Flying Aces. They are a team that skis down the runs at the park and does a bunch of ariel stunts then they land in the water below. It was amazing. Don't think I will be doing that any time soon!!! There was also good food. But best of all was the company!! Thank you Karli for inviting me and enjoying the evening with you and your mom.

Bear Lake

I went to Bear Lake last week and had a real fun time.

My brother Curtis invited me to go up there with his family and his girlfriend Jana and her two boys as well as with my niece Karli who is my sister's youngest daughter.

We all had a fun and it was a nice change to get away for a few days.

A visit from the Smiths and fun in the water

Doug, Angie and Noah came over today. We had a BBQ and Noah played in the water. The little man is going to be a water baby. It was sure nice to have them over.

Apricots

This year was a huge, bumper year for 2 apricot trees in our yard. A whole 3 apricots between the two trees. Here are some pictures of the apricot. They are free so just come over and pick them.
