Hmmmmmmm

Well........hmmmmmmm....

Been so long since I blogged.  So much going on don't know where to begin.  I have relizes Life does go on no matter what.  Sam is ill but is hanging in there.  I am trying.  Sometimes I cry .  Sometimes I scream (into my pillow).  Sometimes I do nothing at all.  Sometimes I realize that I actually a very lucky person and that I have such a great family and extended family!  My sweet Angie and her family give me so much happiness.  They are always making me smile and the kids are sooo special to me.   My dear Sam is going through a lot and he really is a trouper.  Don't know ifmImcould handle what he is.  My parents and sister and brothers are true rocks to lean on.  My Inlaws are very understanding and really do carry so much for Sam and myself.

Somtimes life is so overwhelming and so questionable.  Must continue to go forward and be as positive as I can.

Life goes on.

Kate

I am a Grandmother yet again.  Or as Leah would say, "A Grammy!"  Her name is Kate and she is a beauty.  She came in at 7lbs 9ozs.  I believe she was 19.5 inches long.  Long, dark brown hair all over the place.  Angie had a real good delivery.  It came quick but was quite painful.  So happy right now.
A GRAMMY OF FOUR!!!!!!!

The Big Six Oh

I turned 60 on February 24, 2012.  Must admit I have been a little nervous about it.  30, 40, 50 years old didn't seem like such a big deal.  Was never really really concerned about age before but 60....come on.
20 more years and I will be 80.....)(&**%$#%^&&&.....OMG.  But actually, not so bad.  Feel just the same as I did 1 week ago.  Yippee!!!!!!!!   The fact is, I feel good.  I believe that you really do feel as old as you feel.  Not that I feel 40 or 50.  I feel 60 because that is how old I am.

So luck to have such a wonderful family.  My husband of at least 40 years, give or take.  My daughter of 30.5 years.  My son-in-law of 10 years..known for 12.  My beautiful beautiful Grandchildren, Noah-5 years old, almost 6, Leah-3 years old, almost 4, Isaac-1 year old almost 2, Lollipop-yet to arrive.  My Mom and Dad, Sister and Brothers, In-laws, Nieces, Nephews.  How lucky am I to have them all in my life.

Hopefully,  will be around for 70 years, and again I will thank everyone in my life.

60 and Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!!!!

Curtis

So it has been awhile and I mean awhile.  Today was not fun.  Baby brother Curtis went to the hospital with irregular heartbeat.  They had him hooked up to machines and iv drips.  xrays were taken and and ultrasound.  Nothing showed up so finally they sent him home.  Jana is there with him so I am comfortable with that.  I know he is in good hands.  Friday he goes to a cardiologist for stress tests and anything else that needs to be done.  It made me realize how much I love this kid.  My little brother means so much to me.  Love him so much.  He has always been there for me in all the good times and has been my rock in the bad, lower times.  I hope he realizes how he has affected my life.  Curtis is the little brother I need!!!!  Love you so much and you have made my life crazy but soooooooooooo worth while.

Noah

I am so lucky to have Noah Douglas Smith in my life. He is my first Grandchild and was so excited to have a little boy. Yeah a GRANDSON!!!!! The thing about Noah is he came into this world a big boy 10 POUNDS and he continues to be a big boy in every sense of the word. He is a Big Brother..and an exceptional one at that..He has a Big smile..He has a Big personality..He has the Biggest cutest laugh ever..and I have a feeling he will play a Big part in everyones lives. Being my first Grandkid I was so proud.

I had the chance to watch him for about 7 or 8 months as Angie was working and she needed someone to take care of him. I juggled my work so I could do this. Such an important thing for me to do. Watching him grow and change on a daily basis was extrodinary. With the other 2 Grandchildren I did not have this opportunity..so it was very special to be able to participate in his life.

He is the perfect helper. Ask him to help and he gets so excited and never (well sometimes) says "no". He walked at 9 months old. Amazing. He was the first to call me Grandma Meeka and the other kids have followed. Meeka is my puppy.

This year he attended Preschool. Being able to see him at the Christmas Progam and at the Graduation Program made a proud Grandma even prouder. Can't believe this sweet boy will be in Kindergarden this coming year. The time has just flown by. I truly hope I will be able to watch him grow into a fine young man. Kind of silly to say but I so much want to be around and watch all my Grandchildren grow up. Not too fast but to be here just the same.

He is so lucky to have such a wonderful mother. Of course she is wonderful, she is my daughter. She has been there for all 3 kids and I don't think I know of anyone else who is so dedicated to her kids. Their dad is such a Great guy. Angie and Doug make a special pair and have created a beautiful family and are the best parents.

Noah has made my life so special. I love him so much and hope he knows it. I love you Noah to infinity and beyond!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I really really really like your name!!!!!!!!

Leah

Ah...Leah! What can I say about this little girl? A LOT!!!!!! She was born March 21, 2008. I babysat with Noah at the townhouse while Doug and Angie were waiting for this lady to be born. Just remember them going to the hospital in the morning and later that afternoon the bundle of joy was born. Noah and I went to the hospital that evening and he was so excited to be a Big Brother.

Leah is 200% girl. Such a beauty. These past 3 years watching her grow and learn have just been amazing.

She never liked to be just rocked or held in a chair. Needed to be up and walking around with this little girl. She absolutely dispised being on the grass. She would cry and fret if she felt the grass on her bare feet. And when she did walk on the grass she was so dainty.

She began walking at about 15 or 16 months and from then on she is taking on the world.

Leah has a personality all her own. She is very feminine...yet...she can hold her own. She can take care of herself when big brother gets on her. Pretty tough little cookie. If she gets upset with you...she lets you know it. She can give you "That look" and you know exactly what she is thinking about you at that moment.

I watched Noah and Leah a couple of weeks ago and told the two of them to "knock it off" while I was putting Isaac to sleep. Then made her sit on the couch and Noah in the other room. Angie called me the next day and informed me that I was a Mean Grandma. Really quite amusing!!! Leah was talking to Sam on the phone one day and he had to go. She was upset that he hung up and told me "Grandpa is a bad Grandpa". Again..quite amusing.

This little lady totally rocks my world. She tells me I am her best friend and tells me "I love you Grandma".

I am so glad that she is my Granddaughter. What an amazing kid. She makes my world exceptional!!

Isaac

Isaac...my youngest Grandchild...at least at this time. What a sweet, wonderful little boy. He has brought me such joy and lots of smiles and laughs. Remembering back to when he was just born. What a beautiful baby. Angie, Doug and I spent the day waiting for a call from the hospital to deliver the little guy. While we waited, Angie and I went to Costco, got her car washed and did odds and ends. I was quite amazed that Ang wanted to do this stuff know that she was going to deliver that day. She told me that she just needed to keep her mind busy.

It wasn't until later that afternoon, around 6 or 7 pm the hospital called and told her to "Come on over!" Within a couple of hours little Isaac was born. Doug emailed me a photo and what a handsome little man he was.

I stayed at their house with Noah and Leah. We planted some flowers out in the garden and just played around and watched movies. Noah was a little under the weather but was feeling better by the next day so he could go see
his little brother.

Isaac's temperment is so different from the other two kids. He would let me rock him to sleep, to just hold him without fussing and never cried unless he was tired, sick, hungry or needed to be changed.

Watching him grow this first year has been so special. How he just hated the car seat. How he laughs when his brother and sister play peek-a-boo with him. How he is so much a Mommy's boy. He is always reaching to have his mom hold him. His cute little teeth. His two front teeth have this little gap between them and when he smiles it just brightens up the room. When he started rolling over and crawling it was like this wonderful new adventure had just happened and from there on he was unstoppable. He is now starting to balance on his feet and very soon he will begin investigating everything on two feet in an upright position.

Isaac will be 1 year old on June 18th. This year has just flown by and I am so looking forward to seeing what this next year brings. It will be full of surprises and lots of exciting times.

I really love this little boy. He is one of three little kids that brighten my life!!
