Family Day...2 Years!

Nanning, China September 16, 2008

Celebrating Alissa's 5th Birthday

Today is a day of reflecting, celebrating, and remembering. Two years ago today we met a beautiful scared little girl in China. She saw these three Americans and knew they were to be her family, yet didn't have a clue what we were saying. Wow, that had to be so scary! It was a day that showed us God's faithfulness once again. It also was a day when I no longer had an only child, but had children. From there on out it was..."a table for 4 please." Our beautiful little girl has grown so much these past two years. She is not shy or quiet. She is so full of joy and life! We are eternally thankful for your birth parents who chose life, and foster parents who loved you and took such good care of you.
Today we celebrate you Alissa Quan Marie Kreider coming into our family in God's perfect timing and by His perfect design.

Happy 5th Birthday Alissa!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Alissa! We love you so much!
You have grown and learned so much this past year... learning to ride a 2 wheeler, learning to swim like a mermaid, memorizing your Bible verses, making new friends, and starting pre-K to name a few things. We are so proud of you and love you to pieces!!!

Baseball Tournament Champs

Playing right field

Pitching in the 5th inning
On base
Not sure who was more excited... Benjamin or Pop Pop!
The Big trophy!

What an exciting weekend! The travel team Benjamin is on... the Warwick Cardinals played in a tournament this past weekend. They lost their first game on Saturday. The second game went into 3 extra innings to determine the winner... we were happy to squeak that win out. Sunday we won our first game which put us up against the number 1 seeded Donegal team. This team is undefeated in their regular season play. Our boys played their hearts out! We ended up winning 11-10. Benjamin was the first batter up at the bottom of the 6th. He hit a single to get himself on base. The 3rd batter up hit him home for the winning run. Oh, and he was brought in to pitch the bottom of the 5th... 1 out bases loaded. I was in need of some serious heart medicine for that! Third base made a double play to keep them in the game. Benjamin finished out the 6th inning.. one strike out and then 2 other outs on the field by his team. What a day! So proud of you Benjamin and team! Thanks to our faithful fans... the grandparents!!!
