Hi scrappers....don't you just love weddings??

The happy bride & groom, all the yummy food & a burst of colourful decor!

Had mine some 18yrs back & I sure had tonnes of memorable photos. One too many albums so I decided to take some of my favourites & create an accordian file to store my priceless moments.

Materials used:
6pcs of 6 1/4" X 9" envelopes(cut off about 1/2" on top)
Webster pages papers
Peel off stickers
Prima say it in pearls
Doilies
Prima ribbon embellishment
Pearls & gems
Tim Holtz ideology ornate plate

I started out by glueing the 6 envelopes together on all 3 sides leaving the top free for photo mat slotting.

Distress all corners of envelopes.
Front & back envelopes need to be glued completely, then past on patterned paper.

Once the accordian file has taken shape, cut off a piece to act as a cover for your file & add embellishments.I basically added say it with pearls & a small doily & left the gorgeous paper as is...once I got all my embellishments on,I then decoupaged the cover just to give it a good shine.Place a magnet underneath the cover for closure.
I placed an ornate plate bearing the year I got married on back of file.

There are 4 photo mats for pictures & 2 slots left intentionally empty for some of my favourite love letters & cards.
I had cut out some of the little butterflies, cake prints from my paper stash & added some pearls to give it a glow.
This is a really quick & simple project.Try it out & have fun!!Till next month, happy scrapping!

Hello there!
Weddings are always a joyous occasion and as crafters, I am sure you itch to play a part in it. Well, for this week, I have gathered some ideas for a guest book set-up. Here goes:
I simply love Websters!
In this project there is actually a bit of coordination and foresight. A lot of the papers were mainly used in the guest book itself. The board, however, needed a bit of scraps from your last projects ( a good opportunity to used your leftovers and nic-nacs!)
Since the guests will be penning down their well wishes, I thought it is more sentimental if they were to do it the more traditional way… through letters. Thus the mini envelopes.

The guest book has the idea flowing in it too.

The cream flaps that you see will have Instax photographs pasted under them and so the flaps act as a protector AND doubles as spaces for the guests to pen down their wishes. Saves a lot of papers and cost, I tell you! Hehehe!

Ok so much for technical stuffs, I will end off with a pictorial summary of this week’s project. I hope this week’s project has inspired you.  Till next month then, keep on crafting!

Dew!

He’s proposed and you’ve said yes and now it’s a whirlwind of planning.  What could be important (other than THE dress) than to ask your best girlfriends to be your bridesmaids.  This week I’d like to share with you a Will-You-Be-My-Bridesmaid gift.
It’s a simple box that I made but with a slight twist :
First you present her with this question.  (I’ve purposefully made the tag bigger than the box to make sure the question is not lost)
Then she opens up the box and finds a box of Hershey’s Kisses in two flavours.
Then she’ll piece the “puzzle” under the Kisses to the question “Will you be please be my bridesmaid?”  Of which I’m sure she’ll say yes because she’s been asked in such a sweet and cute way!
After that both of you can play tic-tac-toe on the box!

You can vary the size of the box by changing some of the dimensions.  The box on the right is 4x2.5 inch and is 3 inches high.
Hope you enjoyed this project and that it will give you other ideas on what you can do with the humble handmade box.
The papers I’ve used are from the Webster Pages Everyday Poetry collection.  Check them out at Krafers Paradise soon!

Hi there,
It's been a while & here I am again with a rather large
 10"x10" album
I'd like to call, Celebrating love.
Materials used:
-Teresa Collins 10"x10" fabrication linen cover.
-Be my valentine papers from We R Memory keepers
-Glitter borders by KCK
-"Sweetie" bling stick on by KCK
-Prima flower
-Ribbon
-Key Rings
Front cover depicts a gate fold which opens up revealing a glitter slot for love letters/cards.
To create an enlarging effect,
I've cut each page about 1/4" bigger starting with the smallest at 6 1/2"X8".
Since this is a rather large album so there's ample space for plenty of pictures & journaling.
I chose to call this one "Celebrating Love" as
I've used pictures of my honeymoon dating 18yrs back...
It's really simple to put together as I've only punched out 4 holes and bound it with key rings.
I've also cut out little birdies from the paper stash, rose, buds, added ribbons & laces for the cover.
It's a simple & fun project. Hope you'll try it out & share it with us.

Hello fellow new and experienced crafters!
We will be having a double celebration in February : Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day . I am sure the 2 celebrations will tear you apart! LOL! Fear not! Start your cards now.
For today I have made 3 cards and categorized them under easy peasy level , medium pedium level and you-need-the-love level.
And this is my stash for the month.

Easy Peasy Level Card
For this card, I simply cut the ready tags-on-a-page and stuck one to the front of a 6” by 4” card. After that this card only required 2 pieces of short rectangular papers and blings!

The inside is also simple.

I tied a red string around it before pasting another tag from the paper stash. Then just bling it up!
As the string kind of run around, I took another tag and pasted it on the back page to hold it down. This also lend the card a nice finished look.

Just use a ready envelope to save the time

Medium Pedium Level Card
OK this card requires a bit more time but it is still easy enough for a newbie to try.
It is a single sided card and a slot-in envelope that has no flap.

Here’s the card :

It is a 12” by 6” paper folded along the middle. The tag was from the same paper as the earlier card. Just cut and paste. As for the ticket, you can actually buy it or simply print your own (which is quite easy to do). Let’s take a look at them together.

Unique card idea, don’t you think? Use it to save the headache of thinking the kind of card you want to do for your special one.

You-need-the-love Level
OK this one requires more handiwork and in specific, needlework. But of course it has been made easy with the Sew Easy Kit ( I love this!)

So crisp and pretty! I love using ledger papers for layouts but it made a nice card set too! Let’s take a look at the card first.

This card was layered and then sewn together. It has a backing to hide the needlework, too, making it a thick and sturdy card. Let’s look at the inside now.

Simple and clean lines, too. The tag is from the same paper that I have used in the earlier 2 cards. One page of that tag goes a long way!

Let’s look at them together now.

So, there’s my contribution for the week. Hope you have been inspired and will do one card for your loved one. Keep on creating memories everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Weekly Inspiration By Ridz
Hi Everyone

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I'm sure some of you have already started preparing for the festivities.

I've found some KCK papers which will be really nice for the CNY theme.
I'd like to share this cute project with you; a little carrier bag for your oranges when you go visiting.

You need only 1 piece of 12x12" paper and ribbon or twine for the handle. Pattern paper and o ther embellishments as desired.

1.  Score 2.5" at the top and glue it down. This will reinforce the holes       you'll be punching for the handles. 2.  Score both ends at 3 1/4 ". Fold them on top of each other and use a strong double-sided tape to stick the both ends. 3.  Score the base at 2.5".  Fold them up on one side and open up the base and fold down the edges. (Like gift-wrapping a box)4.  Fold down the top part to meet in the middle to form the base.
Embellish with pattern paper then punch holes for the handles. You can use ribbon or twine. This cute bag will hold two oranges on top of each other.
I've also made a couple of greeting cards with these KCK papers and their "Fortune" die cut works great for these cards.

Here's wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous year of the Snake.
