Do you mind helping me remove the foot in my mouth?

We have a new set of couple friends. We've only been on a few dates with them, but things seem to be going well. Finding couple friends is tricky business. Especially when we live in a very family friendly neighborhood and there are few people left without kids.

Last weekend our new friends came over and we were discussing General Conference. The discussion led to one particular leader in our church: Boyd K. Packer. I love President Packer, but he does lay down the law which makes him a little scary. There is no grey with him, and he tackles very difficult topics. In my mind, if he were the prophet, he would be on the stricter end of things. Completely my perception. He is also next in line for prophet if he were to outlive President Thomas S. Monson. So in the course of our conversation I casually mentioned that "I hope President Monson outlives President Packer." To which the guy said, "President Packer is my grandpa." I basically said I hope his grandpa dies soon! I should have thought twice, I mean their last name is Packer. But it's such a common last name, what are the odds?! It's not an original name like Petersen. I blame my husband who knew this information and was trying to get my attention to stop me, but couldn't.

We have yet to find out if they want to hang out again.

Woot Woot

Best sports week ever. We started the week off at Jimmer's All Star game. Awesome. It got me all excited for the NBA which I never am. Oh wait, we'll see if that even happens. Three days later we had Boise State tickets for the Tulsa game. The game was totally worth the 8 1/2 hour drive with the windows down and heat on full blast as the car decided to overheat. Although we got amazing gas mileage driving 50mph. It was also worth it to be able to spend a short weekend with Kyle's sister and her family. Because I'm probably as smitten with my *new nephew* as I am with Kellen Moore. Then a few days after that RSL's last regular season home game. However, that one didn't end as favorably for us. I'm beginning to think I'm bad luck for RSL as all the games I went to were a disaster for them. Oh well, it was still a great way to end sports week. I only have pictures from the Boise game because I feel silly taking pictures at most sporting events. I don't want to be THAT girl.
