Some follow up pictures . . .

Here are some pictures to go with my last post...

 Yes, it was deer hunt.

Homework time :o)

Putting the decorations on the tree.

Skyler's Christmas Concert (2nd grade only)

He heard Charles laugh and is looking for him in the crowd.

Now he finally found him.
The teacher gave the kids 30 to wave at mom and dad
so they would get it out of their system.

Poor little boy in the front row was so nervous he threw up all over the stage.

Of course the smell (and chunks on the stage)
caused a chain reaction and at least a dozen more threw up as well.
Skyler didn't throw up but told us after that he came close.
Not very discretely either.

Playing in the tunnels at work

Kids with friends at the Winter Festival. They got to sit on Santa's lap, ride ponies, play on the fire truck and ride with Mrs. Clause to the North Pole.

At Last We Saw Each Other....

I cannot believe it has been a whole year already! Christmas is a mere week away and the end of 2010 is just around the corner. We have been very busy at our house. Charles loves that he is able to stay home with the kids for a little while. (I love it, too. No babysitters and I don't have to do dishes! ;)

Charles has been working, doing little side jobs here and there, just enough to keep him busy. Skyler and Saydie are getting so big so fast. They are so excited for Christmas this year. They are at that perfect age, where they are big enough to really get into it, but not so big that they are too cool for it.

Yesterday, we went and got a tree. The kids decorated it beautifully. After we plugged in the lights, we made Zonkers and Candied Graham Crackers. Charles turned on some Christmas music and it finally felt like Christmas. We all snuggled up and pigged out on our treats while we watched "White Christmas". It always makes me laugh at how the kids get so into it and sing along.

I don't think we will get a white Christmas here, though. The weather has been teasing us. We have had a few snow flurries here and there and it is very cold, but no snow yet. At work, one of my jobs is to help keep the leaves cleaned out of the pond (a salt water pond/waterfall) it has been so cold, the whole thing froze solid, including the waterfall. I also get to play around in the tunnels from the castle to the old church and other adjacent buildings. It's both really cool and kind of scary at the same time.

Charles and I both have the whole holiday off together! We are both excited to be able to just sit around the house with nothing to do. School doesn't start again until January 18, 2011, so I have a good long vacation. I haven't gotten my grades in yet, still have one more final to take on Monday. Maybe--if my grades are good enough--I might post them for you.

Everyone is healthy and doing well. We have no complaints. We hope everyone else is having as good a Christmas as we are.

Happy Holidays to everyone!
