Merry Christmas

So I realized today, as I was getting the camera out for Christmas morning pictures, I haven't had the camera out in a very, very, very long time. Even worse, I haven't posted anything for a very long time. Well, here's what you missed:

Saydie's Birthday

She had a really great birthday and got everything she wanted. I can't believe she is SIX!

Back to School

Skyler is in 3rd grade and Saydie is in 1st grade.

Christmas

This year we let the kids buy for each other instead of having everything from Santa and mom and dad. It was so fun watching how excited they were to give presents instead of receive them. Saydie especially surprised me. Because she is younger, I didn't think she would be as into 'giving' as she would be into 'getting'. I am very proud of both of them. They were more excited to watch each other open what they gave each other, than opening their own presents.
Saydie wasn't supposed to open the hat yet, but she snuck it and then never took it off. Same with the Justin Bieber PJ's. She wore them over her clothes all day! I think they are by far her favorite gifts this year.
Skyler had an infection in his mouth, that made his lip/face swell up Christmas Eve. So his smile is a little off.
Christmas Morning

Thank you to the Grandmas and Grandpas and everyone else for making this year a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

School Fun

During the kids' spring break, I took them to school with me. They thought the castle was pretty neat. They climbed up to the balcony and everything. They were a little disappointed that the knight had had his sword taken away.

 Skyler loved going with me.
 If you can believe it,
he is choosing to read over the candy bar, pizza, cake, nachos and soda sitting in front of him.
Guess I should take him more often.
They played sooo many great games.

Playing on the vents from the basement
(I told them it was the dungeon).

They have these little gargoyles all over, (above Saydie's head).
They are kind of creepy. This one isn't too bad.

Annual Fishing Rodeo

So the kids and I went to our local annual fishing rodeo. It was a fishing tournament just for kids. They had lots of fun. Saydie caught a couple little sun fish, but Skyler only fed the fish. It was making him so mad. they would take his worms but he couldn't seem to hook them.

Churchball

Not much else has been going on and I haven't posted anything in a while, so here's the only thing I have to put up here. Churchball. We went to Kutztown for the anual Churchball tournement last Saturday the 26th of March. Our ward placed second overall. Charles made out with only a broken finger, LOL.

Iced

We all had school canceled today because of an ice storm. Here are a few pics, but by the time I got the camera out, most of the ice was already melted....

Poor little snowman...half melted and totally frozen in ice.

It's hard to see, but the cars were completely encased in ice.
By this time most of it had melted. You can still see it on the truck, though.
Kids are loving the day off snuggling up in front of the TV and playing games.

All the trees were so pretty. It's too hard to take a good picture of it.

If you look close you can see the road is solid ice.
You can see all the chunks of ice-cycles piled up under the tramp.
The weight of the ice on top of the snow had the tramp almost touching the ground.

Christmas

Christmas 2010.
Saydie was sick Christmas morning but felt much better the next day. They loved all of the wonderful presents from their family and friends. Thank you to everybody for making this a great Christmas.
