Quarantine

So we spent a week in Swine Flu quarantine. We were so blessed and only Liam got sick. We made it through. Tamiflu is wonderful. i highly recommend getting to your doctor asap so you can start the medicine. it dramatically reduced the amount of time my poor baby spent sick. it was actually kind of nice taking a week off from life. We canceled everything but swimming lessons. For the record i spent swimming lessons sitting outside away from everyone with Liam.

i was actually able to get some organizing done. it was wonderful. My bedroom is clean!!!!! For me this is a big thing because as we were finishing the basement my bedroom became the dumping ground for everything. i love decluttering and having a beautiful clean place to relax.

i am so grateful we are all healthy and will be getting back to life.

Summertime

And the living's easy?

Is it just me or is summer way too long already? We are keeping busy, maybe too busy. On Monday's Chloe has dance, on Tuesday Elijah has piano, on Wed. we have a field trip day, we have gone to the zoo, the dino museum, on Thursday Ethan has speech, and on Friday we do library and park day, and next week we start swimming lessons.. Wow. I am tired just talking about it but there it is.

Despite all this I am going crazy. Or maybe because of all this. In between I have decided to try and get myself organized. HA! I go to organize 1 room and the boys and Chloe destroy the next! Today I went to check my computer and when I went back into the kitchen Ethan had pushed a chair to the kitchen sink and was filling cups of water and dumping them on the floor, with Liam shrieking with laughter while playing in the puddles. Its all I can do to keep the areas of our house that people see clean.

Liam has started walking on his own! Hooray! He was even able to walk around the museum today in shoes! WooHOo! Video coming soon!

On another note, I have promised Chloe a girls night. If she can go an entire day being good she will get to stay up late with me and watch princess movies and eat popcorn. This is not easy for her. She is a challenge. The other night after she got into trouble for getting into the chocolate she said, "Mommy you really need to watch me and make sure I don't do anything bad again." Sigh. Today she was sooo good. She tried so hard, no fits, only sweet, wonderful Chloe. Then, she got the ketchup out and squirted it in the backyard. I guess I should be happy its in the backyard. So, stay tuned to see if she gets her girls night.

I think my dishwasher is on the edge. I hope it doesn't jump. Today I tried to start it and nothing, I opened it, closed it, opened it, closed it, jumped up and down, said a few bad words and suddenly it started! I hope this was just a fluke I really don't want to replace it.

I accidentally dumped Elijah's fish down the sink into the disposal while trying to clean the fish tank. We might be going to buy a new fish tomorrow. I feel really bad. Oops.

Happy Summer to everyone! I am excited to go to Az soon!

A Month in pictures

I am so behind in blogging so, I am going to do a quick recap in pictures.
I went to AZ for spring break to visit with my family.
Here is Lizzy, isn't she a doll?

We went to the zoo.  The highlight of the trip was a squirrel!  Yes he was trying to eat my babies toes!

Isn't my Mom beautiful!
Proof that yes I was there.  I am so seldom in pictures.
We did Relay for Life.  It was a great experience.  This is the banner my sisters and I made.  Katie wrote the words, Kris and I colored them in and hung the stars.  We are so talented!
Liam got a rose thorn in his head.  It was huge!!!!!  I tried myself, with the help of my sister in law, to get it out to no avail.  I took him to the doctor and it took the doctor 45 min. to get it out.  He said he had never seen any kind of thorn or sliver stuck this badly, and it was his first sliver in the head too!  I think Liam picked up a branch from a rose bush and hit himself on the head with it.  He does that.
My family came here to visit in May.  I took them to a fun museum.  Ethan's favorite part was of course the train.
We visited my Grandparents.
Here is Lizzy and Ethan after church.  Church was a nightmare with 6 kids 6 and under and only 3 adults.  But don't they look so sweet?  They could definitely pass as twins!
Yes we did bribe them with M&M's to take such a great picture.
We went to the zoo.  It was not the most thrilling visit.  With lots of cranky kids it turned into a cryfest.  But, I was able to get this great picture of Brayden!  He loved drinking out of the Lion's mouth.
Here is Liam with his cute new shoes.  They are totally useless because the little stinker is not walking, and yes he is 16 months old.  He has the ability, he just lacks the desire.  He will take a handful of steps, fall down and then decide that it is much much faster to crawl.  He is super fast crawling.  He can also climb the ladder to the top bunk bed!  He is such a little monkey.  Now if he would decide to walk I would be sooo much happier.  It makes it very tricky to go to the park with him crawling all over the place.

Well, here is our month update.  I will try to blog more, but right now I am mostly trying to survive the summer.  We are insanely busy with lots of fun plans!  Elijah is starting piano lessons and the kids will be taking swimming lessons and Chloe does dance and Ethan does speech, he refuses to talk.  So, all in all we are insanely busy, but its better than being bored!
