Happy Everything

I have been quite a slacker when it comes to posting on here and I have been called to repentance by my dear husband.
So here goes...
Hope everyone had a good Halloween. The girls were cowgirls.

We had a relatively calm Thanksgiving except for the fact my camera broke and the pictures are still on it so once I get it back I can post those.

We had a wonderful Christmas and did some fun things in between Halloween and Christmas I will have to talk about later.

And onceI get all the Christmas pictures organized I will post those too. Is it me or did they change the format to post pictures? Or maybe it's iphoto? I have just found it hard to download pic's lately.

Hope everyone has a great New Year's!

Our little builder girls

Ken wanted to take the girls to Home Depot safety clinic to see the fire truck and they ended up building the project of the month ( or is it week ?) They ended up loving it although they were a little scared at first with all the hammering and at first didn't want anything to do with the aprons. Olivia wears hers every day now just around the house. This was also their first time painting which was a little hard for me to just turn them loose with but I let it go. We tried helping them at first but as anybody who has met a 2 year old knows that didn't last long. My camera died before we could get a shot of the finished project ( and I seem to have lost my charger somewhere ) but needless to say they would show 2 very proud girls showing their banks off -we'll see how long they last- they like to throw them on the floor to hear the "thunk" which isn't the best for a wooden bank.

Bike ride at the Ventura Harbor

We were fortunate to be given a hand me down bike trailer. We tried using one last year and the girls did not like being in it at all. They both love it now. Ken takes them out several times a week and I have even gone along a few times. ( We did get them helmets since these pictures were taken). This was a Saturday late in the afternoon so the beach was busy and the girls had lots to look at it.

They were having fun with their spray botttles in the back seat.

Happy as 2 little clams in a can of sardines.
Makenna smiling at me as I rode by.
You can't see her in the picture but Candy was laying at the girls feet. She was too tired to go on and had to ride.

Monkey See Monkey Do - Makenna and Olivia turned 2!

It really is true. They copy each other constantly and if one has something the other needs it .
I had said that I was not having a party again but I saw this theme and it could not be more true and really it would only rhyme with "2" so really we had to do it...and it is a lot of fun to plan a monkey party ( also a lot of work) . We won't talk about what rhymes with "3" (yet- ha ha)

Once again my mom did the cakes. I admit I don't have great pictures because I was busy being in charge and running around like a chicken with no head. It was a fun night and think everyone had fun. We have so many friends and family that support us. We are so grateful. It was the end of "birthday week" and we are so thankful for all who called, came, thought and cared about us.
