Olympics 2010!

I LOVE the Olympics! They are so fun to watch. This year I am extremely impressed with Shaun White. First off, he has TOF, a congenital heart disease and had 2 open heart surgeries before turning 1. Wow, that is amazing to me since one of the things i remember when we first found out about Libbi was the doctors saying ..exact words.."well, she will never be an olympic athlete, but she will be able to play recreational sports" WRONG! She can do whatever she wants, if he can do it so can she! He won the gold medal in the mens halfpipe, it was so impressive! His first run was scored at 46.3 and had won the gold before he even did his 2nd run. He did it anyway, just for fun mainly, he pulled out his mctwist super awesome new trick and scored 48.4!!! Out of 50!! That is just insane! Anyway, he is my hero for the time being. He proves that anything can be done, if you just set your mind to it! Go team USA! I will continue to watch in awe!

Fort Fridays!

Remember forts?? I do! My kids are at the age where they LOVE to build forts. It has become a weekend tradition lately! Last night they sat in there and ate pizza and watched the Olympics. Good times!
This one even had rooms! This is Koy in his fort room.

They let Libbi sneak in for a peek.. she 'messes it up' they say. Aw poor Lib :)

I must say, Kurt and I are becoming quite the fort builders! We should go into business :) :)

Valentines

For Valentines we have started a new tradition the past couple of years where we do dates with our kids. Since my bday is so close and we usually go out for it, we don't feel like we need to go out twice in the same week so we take our kids out. Koy takes me out actually :) Koy took me to the movie Percy Jackson, he even paid, it was adorable. Then we went to Mcdonalds, sat inside at the big people tables and just talked and had a good time. Thanks Koy!! Jerzi wanted to stay home in her jammies (surprise surprise) and watch wow wow wubbzy. Which worked out nice since Libbi could just go to bed when she was done with the date :) Kurt built her a fort and they had a wonderful time! I wish we had pictures, but we were enjoying our time and forgot the camera!
Well the next night, we ended up going out anyways! Bonus! We went with Kurt's family for Birthdays. We have TONS in February. We went to La Ferrovia to eat, it was yummy!
Then we went to the new Farrs mercantile for ice cream. That is the cutest place i swear! I love it!
Then Brent went and did pilates :) He had to work off all his cookies from the sugar cookie contest, which by the way, I WON!!! We blind folded him and he had to taste each entry and pick a winner. Yup, i'm the best sugar cookie maker in the family..sorry gals :)Speaking of forgetting pictures, Kurt brought me and Jerzi roses for Valentines and i forgot to take a picture of them. I am sad. But they were so pretty! I got 10 and Jerzi got 2 from him. He is not only the greatest hubby in the world, but the greatest dad too! Jerzi is sad hers died, she wanted them to last FOREVER!

My BIG 3-0!

Ok ok there's a story behind this picture before you start laughing. It is a real picture, i had it taken at 18 with my senior pictures, no clue why i chose this theme. SO we do cross fit at the club everyday and there's a website that you go on to see what the workout of the day (wod) is. Well i click on to check out the wod and i find this picture!!! What the heck!?!? Well my brother thought he was funny, dug it up, and gave it to our trainer to post on the website!!! I figured since the entire oac had seen it, my friends could see it too. How embarassing is that!?!?! Chase got me good for my big 30 that's for sure! I have a couple years to come up with a payback for his! Ok i give you permission to LOL in 3..2..1.. GO!

The rest of the day was divine! I had a relaxing day at home, the kids took GOOD care of me. I went and had Sunnee do my hair, just style it, but it was nice :) Then for dinner we went to my favorite spot, PVG, and there was my family all there waiting to surprise me! (ok well, we were early, or they were late, so the only ones there when i got there were Brock Whit Netso and my mom) but it was a nice surprise! After that we headed home to find ANOTHER surprise party! All my family and some friends were here! Wow! I was so happy to have such a great day! I love my birthday!!

There were a few signs like this around town on my bday, one in Uintah and one at the OAC. And my mom rented the Terrace Depot sign but i didn't get a pic :( It said 'Shut up! Mindi Dixon is 30!' Apparantly i say Shut up alot??? I didn't know :)

Sunnee and Netso brought me 30 balloons and a LARGE (54oz) diet coke! Thank you!!!

Jazz kids!

I must say i think these kids are a bit spoiled! They got to go to the Jazz game again! Thanks to Uncle Scott and Aunt Julie! I was going to go with them but got car sick from driving all day so i stayed home with Libbi. They asked if they could take a friend since i wasn't going so they invited Luke and Bo. Fun times!

Jerzi did the little cheer camp at BHS again, she loves it! She has been dancing around to the song "if you like it why don't you put a ring on it" from Alvin and the Chipmunks since the movie came out so how perfect that they danced to that song! She practically already knew the dance!

Ironing and Crazy hair day

So these should be 2 seperate posts but i'm tired and got lots of catching up to do so i meshed 2 into 1!
What is this you say? Yes that would be me ironing! Kurt got the camera and took a picture because that NEVER happens. :) Lets just say i do such good laundry that nothing ever NEEDS to be ironed ok!?!?!

Koy and his friend Andon insisted on having colored hair for crazy hair day so i took them to the beauty store on the way to school. Koy picked black, Andon picked red so what does that make?

Girls night!

I had a fun night out with these girls! We have been friends for so long. Mel lives out of state so we haven't seen her in 10 years! It was so fun to catch up! We went to dinner, the movie New Moon (for the 3rd time), and then got hot cocoa at Dennys. I got home at 1am! It was so fun to just visit and catch up though!

This is the kids the first Sunday of the year, all dressed and ready for the next class up! Koy is CTR 6 and Jerzi is CTR 4. They changed the way they do it this year so Koy actually is in the same class as last year. Jerzi went from Sunbeams to CTR 4, which was just created. It used to go Sunbeams then CTR 5. ??????? Anywho, they look cute!
