So we had Koy's cousins, Luke and Bo, sleepover last night. I have a couple pictures but for now i just have to put this down before it forget, i do that often :)
So we picked them up and they were so hyper and excited! They were saying how they were going to stay up late, and one of them said, (i think it was Koy) "Ya, we're going to stay up til like 9!" Ha ha.. and they did just that, they were all 3 out by 9:15. Koy and Luke were actually asleep by 8:45 i think. Ha ha, i can't wait to tell them that when they get older, what nerds! They were up at 4:30 am which did not make for a very fun New Years Eve tonight. It is 8:45 and Koy is asleep :( Unfortunately the rest of us are not far behind. It's been a good year but i'm ready for the new one so going to bed early and waking up refreshed and ready for 2010 seems like a great plan to me! Have a happy new year and a great 2010!!!

Uncle Koy
I have lots of Christmas pics i should be uploading and blogging about but i'm just not into it. Maybe this week sometime :)
I had to tell you about Uncle Koy. He is Libbi's Uncle. He talks to her and says "come to Uncle Koy" or when she's crying "it's ok Libbi, Uncle Koy is here" or "give Uncle Koy a kiss"
I know what you're thinking and yes you have it right, Koy is not her Uncle, he is her brother. Just don't tell him that :)

Christmas innocence
I love the ages of my kids this year, the suspense is KILLING them! They may drive me insane before morning but they are just so excited and cute! Last night i'm putting them to bed and Koy said a couple cute things.
He says "Mom, do we have one of those things that makes noise to wake us up?"
I said "an alarm clock?"
He says "Ya, can you get me one so i can get up early on Christmas?"
Ha ha i'm pretty sure he won't be needing one, he gets up at 6 am every morning anyway! It'll be an early morning tomorrow i'm sure of it!
Then he says
"Can we feel or hear when we are asleep?"
I say "Ya why?"
Koy says "I want to hear Santa when he comes!"
How fun is he? I love him so much, even though he drives me bonkers with his attitude lately. When do they all of a sudden grow up and become mouthy little 6 year olds? Is it school? Anyways, as much as i'd like to slap him most days, he is still my little guy and will always be my baby boy!
Merry Christmas Koy boy, I hope you continue to have this innocence for many years to come!

Little Guys
Today Jerzi and Koy helped me wrap some of the cds for the gift. They did a great job :) Jerzi says later "Mom when are you and dad going to the doctors to take those movies to those little guys?" ha ha she is cute! ..by movies she meant cd's, doctors meant hospital and little guys meant little kids i suppose.. She's getting it though, that's all that matters!!

Koy's funny business
Ok so this was totally random but i have to post it. We dropped our kids off to my moms tonight to go out to dinner for the Mimi's Salon Christmas Party. (ha ha not really but we were joking around) When we went to leave i said "Koy if you get tired just close your eyes and go to sleep and mom and dad will carry you to the car and inside the house" to which he replied...
"YA EXCEPT FOR IF YOUR DRUNK!!!!"
What the crap?? I don't have a clue where that came from!
On a brighter side, he had a really bad headache last night so he came and slept on our floor. This morning Kurt said he heard him stirring them heard him say
"Dear Heavenly Father..." then he heard him talking but not sure what he was saying. He asked him about it later and he said he was praying that his headache went away. I'm assuming thanking Heavenly Father for making him feel better. So cute. It's funny how they learn when, to be completely and totally honest, we aren't doing a very good job of teaching our kids how to pray. We need to do better. But then again, sounds like we're doing ok :)

Magical night
What could create these faces from Koy Dixon????
Anticipation??!??
Wonder??
Excitement like i've never seen before..
..and that happy smile of his that i don't see very often?
A ride to the North Pole!!! That's right, we rode the Polar Express to the North Pole where Santa was waiting to greet us! I am so happy we did it, it was a bit of a stretch because of the cost but i told Kurt this is the perfect year because both of them really, seriously believed we went to the North Pole. It was worth every penny! We will have to take Libbi when she is about 4 or 5 because it was honestly PERFECT! I said i don't think we can ever go again because it could never be as perfect as it was last night.
Here they are getting ready to board.
In our seats, ready for departure.
Elliot the Elf was our best friend. He wraps presents for Santa at the North Pole!!
We read stories, had cookies and hot chocolate, sang songs and just had a good time!
This is when we were about there, they were looking to see who could see the North Pole first.
More fun with Elliot
Santa gave them the first gift of Christmas, which was a bell, that Koy has not let go of. He's taking it for show and tell tomorrow. I've heard that Kindergarten is when kids start telling that Santa is not real. If that happens to Koy, i may have to hurt someone.
This is the ride back, we sang the 12 days of Christmas
Getting off the train. What a fun night!!
If you've never been i would highly recommend it at least once in your childs life. These ages were perfect! The only downfall was that Jerzi asked for a pink ds. What?!?! Koy wants one too, but he's been asking for a while so 'Santa' was prepared and shopped the day after Thanksgiving to get him one on a good deal! Gotta love kids!

O Christmas Tree!!
Call us the Griswolds but we LOVE to go cut down our tree every year. The kids think it's great! We don't go to far, just to a tree farm in Mountain Green called Robinsons Tree Farm. They provide the farm and the saw, we just go roaming around until we find the perfect tree!
Here's the gang on our pursuit.
Found it! And much to my surprise, they found it really fast this year!! ...and agreed on the same tree! That is rare and probably won't ever happen again!
Koy is excited to be able to cut it down in about 5 more years :0
Load 'er up! 'Where are you going to put a tree that size?' Hee hee
The kids decorated the entire tree! We didn't have to help much.
Libbers hanging her ornament. Every year we get a few new ornaments for our tree. We have some on there from my first christmas, and others from when Kurt and I were little. It's really fun!
Taa daa!!! Not your fancy smancy tree, but we like it. One day i will get to have a really big, fancy, fake, pretty tree!! Maybe when the kids get bored of it.
Happy Christmas Season!!

It's beginning to look alot like....
CHRISTMAS!!!
I love this time of year! We got our house decorated on Sunday, here is a small preview. Jerzi is my mothers granddaughter. She picked out her own stocking so we could give Libbi the pink polka dot one and yup you guessed it.. peace signs!!.. wait what? Hmm o well, you gotta give them a little independence right??
We found their Santa hats while decorating.. They were taking turns being Santa and having Libbi sit on their laps. Funny kids.
We went to Christmas Village opening night, we were headed to the Christmas Tree Jubilee and found out it has closed already so we had to do something fun! We usually go with my family every year so we will be going again i'm sure. I love it there, and so do the kids!! Fun times!!
Ah.. all snuggly and warm in her cozy blanky. I think Koy is warm too, don't you think??

Broncos vs Giants
This is a typical Sunday at our house.. or anyday of the week actually, since we now record games to watch at quiet time. Lucky us :)
These are a bunch of lucky (spoiled) kiddos is all i gotta say! Kurt's brother, James, and his boys (giants fans), Scott and Ryan (uncle and cousin) and our other friends, The Nielsons, got to go too! We are the best wives EVER! Ha ha totally kidding. They are good hubbys, they deserved it!
