36 Weeks
Here is the belly shot at 36 weeks (sorry, I am a little behind in posting these)... At 36 weeks, I am getting even more uncomfortable. My back hurts almost all the time - I have to take "breaks" constantly to lay on my side, so I can take the weight off my back. I am getting even more broken up sleep, due to the peeing and changing of positions. I haven't really gotten anymore swollen, but my feet start to hurt if I stand on them too long. Luckily, I am now on maternity leave so I can take "breaks" and naps throughout the day. My belly seems to keep growing straight out and I am constantly hitting it on things. At my 36 week appointment I had another ultrasound that confirmed the little man is head down, BUT he is currently posterior. My doctor said that this is not uncommon at this stage in the game and he "should" turn. I sure hope so, because I am not up for the extreme back pain that is associated with babies in the posterior position during labor. AND I was reading on the Internet that if the baby stays in the posterior position and it is your first baby, they often have to use forceps or the vacuum to get the baby out; which I completely refuse to allow - I have seen too many complications from using these. Which would mean a C-section! I am just keeping my fingers crossed that he turns. On a happier note, he spread his legs again during the ultrasound and showed us his scrotum - so we are pretty sure we are still having a boy! It is getting so close, and it seems surreal that we are going to actually be having a baby in 3 weeks!
Pictures as Promised...
I posted some pictures of Eric and I awhile back that were taken around Thanksgiving time. Here are the rest with the family, as promised. My sister's friend, Jillian, took the photos. You can check her out here, if you are ever in Sac and want some pics taken!

Work Baby Shower
The ladies at my work put on a baby shower for me at Olive Garden. We enjoyed a yummy lunch of soup, salad and breadsticks while trying to avoid saying the word "baby" and losing our pins. I stink at games like that, but I did win the baby lotto. These were the cute party favors they handed out. And this was the attire I was forced into wearing! One of the girls I work with made this adorable diaper cake! The actual cake was super yummy - it had strawberries inside with whipped cream frosting! Everyone was super generous and I was so overwhelmed with everything I got! Here is just a few of the photos of me with the some of the ladies I work with and what they got me! Here is just one last photo of me with Ritchel - she is due two days before me. You would think I was like a month ahead of her by the photo - my belly looks about twice the size of hers!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone at my work! The shower was fabulous!

Hint, Hint to the Hubby!
A couple of my friends, in my opinion, have this fabulous tradition when they have a baby. They get a piece of jewlery with the baby's birthstone after the baby is born- a small gem for everything they have to go through! Being that our little one is due April 3rd, the birthstone could either be aquamarine or diamond. I know I am weird, but I really want him to be born in March - I already have a diamond ring and I want something different for the left hand. I am not really that into fancy jewlery; hence, why I have never asked Eric for anything of the sort since I got my wedding ring. But... I love Sundance jewlery - not too fancy and pretty unique. These are my two choices...
