Eric's 1/2 Ironman

Most of you know, Eric has been doing triathalons for quite some time. His ultimate goal is to do an Iron Man. First up though, 1/2 Iron Man (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run).

He told me he wanted to do his first one in St. George. But it just happened to be the same weekend as my yearly girls trip. So, unfortunately, I was not there to support him.

But he still did great! I guess it's the hardest 1/2 Iron Man and it was SUPER hot the day they did it. But he still FINISHED in 5hours, 59minutes. So proud of him!

GIRLS TRIP TO SF

We had our annual girl trip in the beginning of May. This year we went back to where it all started, our City by the Bay! It was the best trip by far. We did so many fun things! It was perfect!

First thing we did when we got into the City? We got food of course! Salad and cookies...and then we went and ate it all up while enjoying a view of the GG Bridge. Did I mention that the weather was gorgeous all weekend? It was amazing!

First night we ate at Dragonwell. The chicken chow mein did not dissapoint! We then headed immediately to get donuts (which we did every night) for our midnight snack. But who were we kidding? We ate them on the walk home :)

This is where we hung out each night gabbing away and playing a few games...
First morning - a walk down by the water at Chrissy Field. We stayed in a place right in the Marina, that was walking distance to this...

A trip to the City would not be complete without a little Mama's in our tummies. Yes, we had to wait 1.5 hours, but it was completely worth it! Those 3 meals were eaten by Rocia and me - get in my belly!!!

We did the Yellow Cars. Yes, we were those people! It was actually a blast, that was, until Rocia and Jocelyn's car broke down and they had to wait to be rescued for over an hour...

Rocia found this little gem in the City; Asian foot and back massage for super cheap. We hit this place up after dinner one night. It was a bit intense but felt so good!

The next morning we rented bikes. Not just run of the mill bikes; those 4-seater bikes. And they are HARD work, but it was so much fun too!

We then ate at Nick's Crispy Tacos. It was delicious, as always!

We finally got to the Mall to do some shopping. We were so busy shopping, we missed our dinner reservation, so we had to eat at the food court. But this mall does not have your average selection of mall dining. It's quite a bit of a step up. It was delicious too!
Our last night :(

Our last morning; on our way to eat at Squat and Gobble...

Until next year ladies; it was Amazing!!!

Arizona

Eric was going on his annual guys trip with his dental school buddies, and instead of being home all by myself, I opted to go to Arizona to visit family. We had a blast! We were going, going the whole time I was there! It was kind of crazy with four kids - I don't know what we are going to do when 4 turns into 6 (no, that is not any sort of announcement!).

Yes, I braved, once again, flying by myself with 2 kids. I think people look at me and think I'm crazy...and I sort of am! Logan turned to me right after we took off and told me he was going to take a nap. He then turned his head and fell right asleep - Heavenly!

Stella, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. The flight was full; she had to sit on my lap - which she wanted nothing to do with. I was completely exhausted after 2 hours of trying to keep her occupied!

But it was all worth it once we got there! We went swimming at the pool. Yes, in April! It was warm and oh so nice, after all the snow we had been "enjoying" in Colorado...

We went to the Mesa Children's Museum. All the kids loved it!

We went to the splash pad. Stella wasn't so sure at first but then kept getting sprayed in the face and going back for more.
Logan mostly just ran around the splash pad and then started to get daring and run through it...

We went to the Bounce House...

And got to celebrate Berkeley's 4th Birthday with her...
Stella also got her first little trim by her Aunt Ashlie (She did get a buzz when she was a baby, but this was her first hair cut since her hair has grown back in)...

Until next time...
