Scofield Lake

Last weekend, we headed to Scofield Lake in Utah; Eric's cousins have a cabin there. We boated a lot; Eric wakeboarded and skied (I had to sit it out due to my current disposition); we tubed; we swam; we ate; we paddle boarded; we played in the water; we fished; we stayed up late playing games and talking; and overall, we just had a good ole time!

Summer Fun

We have been spending a lot of time at the pool these days. Logan LOVES the water!
He has no problem putting his face all the way under (on this particular day he was scaring the lifeguard).
He also loves jumping off the side of the pool to anyone who will catch him...
We have a baby pool in our backyard that Logan loves to go in (and Rocco too!). Anytime we are outside Logan will hop right in - it doesn't matter if he is fully dressed!
Logan likes to copy Rocco and drink the water just like him - disgusting!
A lot of times Logan gets his clothes so wet that we just strip him down...
And finally, Eric got the ingenious idea to put Logan's slide going into the pool. Logan loves it! He will go down it again and again! It is seriously the cutest thing!

Iphone Photos

Just a few pics from the last few weeks that Eric has taken on his phone...

Logan with his "pop, pop" (as he calls it). This kid is seriously obsessed with popcorn!

Logan riding his horsey...

Rocco munching on an ear of corn; quickly after this picture was taken, Rocco ate the whole husk - good thing his body digested it and we didn't have to make a trip to the vet!

Logan has an obsession with hats. This particular winter hat was taken out of storage for Santa Cruz. I forgot to pack it back away. Logan quickly found it and wanted to sleep with it every night. We would have to sneak in after he fell asleep to take it off or he would end up a sweaty disaster!

4th of July

We headed down south to visit with friends on the 4th of July. Brady and Jocelyn hosted a BBQ and then we watched fireworks from their deck...

Regan made this fancy cake; each slice looked like the US flag. But, even better, it was so yummy. I am not a big cake eater, but I find my mouth watering just thinking about it. You can find her recipe here.

Food Aversions/Cravings

When I was pregnant with Logan I didn't really have any aversions to any food. Things that I already disliked smelled even worse to me (Eric was not allowed to order fish when we went out while I was pregnant), but otherwise everything else I still enjoyed. I did however have cravings - this mostly included Coke, fried foods (especially french fries) and Coke slurpees.

This time around has been quite different. Around my 7th week, I began to hate even the thought of drinking a Coke. Instead, I craved water and a lot of it. I missed my Coke, but I literally could not bring myself to drink it. On top of that, in the place of my love for french fries, I started craving fresh fruits. Whenever we went out to eat I also found myself ordering from the salad menu. I am not a healthy eater by any means, but for some reason that is what this baby has wanted/needed!

Little Man Ice-cream

We had seen this cute little outdoor ice-cream joint awhile back, but finally went and checked it out with our friends a few weeks back. The weather was perfect, the kids loved playing outside and going down the slide over and over again and there was a park across street for them to get out their sugary jitters afterwards!

Logan loved when I handed over my cone for him to finish it off!!!

Eric's family come for a visit...

Over the 4th of July weekend Eric's family was able to come out and visit us. We hit up a Rockie's baseball game and got to watch an amazing fireworks show afterwards...

One afternoon we went to Golden/Morrison/Red Rocks area and walked up Dinosour Ridge. The kids loved climbing up the rocks and seeing the dinosaur prints...

We also went to Elitch Gardens one day. In the morning we played at the water park...

And in the evening we returned for rides and fireworks...

Thanks for the visit; it was so much fun!!!

Auntie, Grammy and Papa come for a visit...

My mom and sister were able to come visit us in Colorado for two weeks in June and my dad came for Father's day weekend. It was so nice to have them here and the help with Logan was very welcoming as I was still sick/tired when they were here from the pregnancy.

Logan was very spoiled while they were all here and was the center of attention at all times. He was constantly sneaking into Auntie's bed for a snuggle and to watch movies on her computer...

We went to the pool A LOT while they were here. Sometimes we swam in the "big pool" and sometimes we just swam in the "baby pool" (as Logan refers to them)...

We also shopped a lot while my mom and sister were here and Logan did very well as we dragged him along. We checked out the most adorable store that my friend told me about called Elizabeth's Embellishments. I was in heaven!

We also celebrated my mom's b day with a little outing to PF Changs and some ice cream cake after...

Thanks for making the trek out here - we loved having you!!!
