Some Forgotten Photos...

While in Sac Town, we went to a River Cats Game with my fam. I totally forgot about the photos we took (they were on my sister's camera) until today. Here they are:

Logan is 4 Months!

Our sweet little baby is getting so OLD and BIG, so FAST! He just passed his 4 month birthday and had his 4 month check-up yesterday.

His current stats are:

Head Circumference - 17.75 inches(97%)

Length - 27.5 inches(97%)

Weight - 19 lbs, 7 ounces(97%).

I can't believe how BIG he is! He is just growing like crazy. The funny thing is you would think he would be rolly, polly with a weight like that, but he is not. He has a few rolls here and there, but he is just long and big and thick! He is growing out of his clothes like crazy. He is mostly in 6-12 month clothing, but fits into some of his 12-18 month clothing. We hope he starts crawling soon so he can work some of his weight off! BUT he is pretty content with just laying around and is not much of a mover. Unfortunately, we are going to have to buy a new car seat soon! Logan got a jumperoo this past month. He loves standing in it(he hasn't quite figured out how to jump yet) and watching TV. He has become quite the couch potato! He has started to watch us very intently while we eat; I can tell real food is starting to interest him more. He loves to sit in his bumbo chair on the table while we eat. We gave him sweet potatoes for the first time the other day. He seemed to like them fairly well and ate about half the container. He is such a terrific sleeper. He sleeps from about 9:30pm to 8 am every night. He sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night and will cry for a few minutes but then will go right back to sleep. He usually takes two LONG naps during the day, each about 2-3 hours in length and then one more quick one in the evening. He always has to be wrapped super tight and then given his binky when he sleeps. But once this is done, he goes right to sleep. He has started to be much more aware of Rocco and will smile at him and try to grab at his face.He still loves to snuggle(mostly now when he is sleepy) and eat. I still nurse him a few times a day, but he mostly just drinks formula now. He is starting to hold his bottle on his own. He showed his first signs of stranger anxiety the other day; someone at Eric's office was holding him and he seemed a bit stressed out. Then Eric walked away and he just started balling. Uh, Oh! We just love having this little guy in our lives and now can't imagine it without him! But Logan, can you please stop growing so fast and stay our cute lil' baby a little longer??? Here are some photos from his 4 month photo shoot done by yours truly!

2 Couch Potatoes

Last weekend I went to Phoenix to vist my brother and his wife. I was only there for a few short days, but Logan got to hang out with his cousin Berkeley. Here they are together watching TV - so adorable!

5th Anniversary

Eric and I celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary on August 13th. I can't believe it has already been five years since we have been married - we have been through five years of school and acquired a dog and a baby along the way. My parents were kind enough to watch Rocco and Logan for the day, so we could spend some alone time together. We went and checked out a local tourist site - Royal Gorge Bridge. It is the highest supsension bridge in the world - pretty crazy! We first took the tram over to the other side so we could get some awesome views of the bridge and the river below. Then we walked back across the bridge - no big deal, right? WRONG! It was sooooo SCARY - I basically ran to get to the other side. The wind was making the bridge sway and the wood planks on the ground had huge gaps in them. I thought at any moment the bridge was going to break! After our life-threatening experience on the bridge, we took the steepest incline train down to the bottom of the gorge.Later that night, we went out to eat at "The Fort" - a local place that specializes in "game meat." Hmmm.... no thanks - I stuck to the beef while Eric ventured out and tried some quail, bison and elk. Overall, the day was great. It was nice to just spend the day together! Thanks babe for a great five years; here's to many more!

Grammy and Gramps Come to Visit...

My parents came to visit us for the first time in Colorado this past week. It was so nice to have them here. We shopped, went out to eat, and visited a lot. They also helped me get my front/backyard in shape with some plants and flowers. Logan and Rocco LOVED having them here. Rocco wouldn't leave their side! They got Logan his FIRST baseball cap - here are some photos of the lil' rascal in it!Thanks Mom and Dad for the visit - it went by too quick!
