BOARDS

Eric passed part I of his dental boards. Yipee! I am so excited he has the hardest one out of the way and he doesn't have to study anymore!

My 26th Birthday

I celebrated my birthday last week. The Sunday night before my birthday we met my parents and sister at Johnny Carinos in Fairfield. I don't know why, but I LOVE to eat there. It is an addiction that was made while attending Rick's College in Idaho.
The celebration continued the night before my birthday with a girls night at my house. We gossiped and stuffed our faces with ice cream cake and all sorts of other treats. It was fabulous!
The next morning these same wonderful ladies joined me for breakfast at my favorite breakfast spot in the city, The Pork Store Cafe.
After breakfast I treated myself to a pedicure and a little shopping at Ambiance. Eric and I went out to eat that night at Farina's. It is an italian restuarant in the mission that makes homemade pasta. It was good, but way overpriced for what you got. When we got home Eric gave me my Birthday present. It is a betsey johnson necklace. It goes with my over the hump dress, so I will be saving it to wear for that night!

The Destruction has Begun...

Rocco has been chewing on things since we got him, but he hadn't destroyed anything...yet! He just would kind of gnaw on things. On Saturday I took him to the vet for his last set of puppy shots and she told me his adult teeth should start coming in anytime now. Well, I think they are, because in the last two days he has really started to cause some damage. Exhibit A - he has had this stuffed animal for a couple of months and had made a few holes but nothing else. Then in a matter of five minutes he got all the stuffing out! This is what I came upon when I walked into the room.Exhibit B - This is his toy basket. He figured out how to pull the basket out and then tip it over to get his toys out. We thought this was really cute. That was until yesterday when he started chewing the handle apart. Today I put this sour apple spray on it. It is supposed to make it taste disgusting so they won't chew on. Five minutes later, guess what he is doing? Chewing on the basket again!

Exhibit C - I just bought a brand new pair of shoes from Banana Republic to wear to Eric's Over the Hump party in a month. I put them on my shoe rack in the back of my closet. Usually, if Rocco grabs a shoe it is one that is on the floor. Oh no, out of all my shoes he chose this one to go crazy on! I thought I was going to lose it when I found him with it. It is still wearable, but noticeable!

Videos of Rocco

These are small video clips we took of Rocco in Utah. I wanted to post them earlier but I could not figure out how to do it. Thanks to my "girls" I finally figured it out. What would my blog be like without you guys and your fabulous tips???

Christmas in Sac Town

We spent Christmas this year with my family in Sacramento. My brother and sister-in-law came into town, so we were all together. We had a great time - we went and saw National Treasure, we went to the temple, we went bowling, we went and saw lights at Dovewood Court, and of course, we did a little shopping. Oh, and we ate a lot of food!!!Here we are at Dovewood Court. This is a court by my parent's house that every year, every house decorates their house fairly extreme. It is fun to walk around and see what new ideas they have come up with.

Here are some photos of us on Christmas morning.

Here I am with my new Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag - I love it! Thanks babe!

Here are all of our cute stockings hung on my parent's fireplace. My mom made these, each one is made specifically for us.

A little trip to the river...

We took Rocco with us to the river to feed the ducks bread. He was a litte unsure at first as he watched us feed them. He just sat and stared from a distance. Then, without any warning, he ran full force at the geese, right into the water. He wanted to go in further, but we wouldn't let him. This is because bulldogs can't swim, instead they just sink. He wasn't very happy that he couldn't get them. After all was said and done the little bully was freezing. We got a blanket out of the car, but he was shivering the whole way home!

Sacramento Temple

Right before the Sacramento Temple opened, Eric and I went to the open house. But we haven't had the opportunity to attend since then. With my whole family in town, we made it a date - the temple and then dinner at Tahoe Joe's.

Bowling

My parents love to go to the movies. They wanted to go see another one while we were in town, but we convinced them it would be more fun to go bowling. My mom hadn't been bowling in over ten years. It was quite entertaining to watch. She actually did really well. I took the high for the night with 146 - my brother wasn't too happy that he couldn't beat me. Instead, he got a 145.

A Few Cute Pictures of Rocco...

It seemed like Rocco had the most pictures taken of him over the holidays. Here are some of my favorites:Here he is with a doggy bacon strip my sister put in his stocking. He loved it! Only later did we read on the packaging that puppies are not supposed to eat it. Needless to say, it gave him diarrhea that was RED!Here he is with a few of his new toys that he got for Christmas. He made out pretty well this year!

Rocco loved Christmas morning - he got to chew on tissue and wrapping paper, boxes and bows!Eric gave him a bone, with a lot of meat left on it, from the prime rib we ate on Christmas. He went bonkers over it!Rocco showing off his high five that he can do. He can also sit, lay, and shake. He is working on rolling over, coming/staying and speaking! When we first got Rocco he didn't really like to be on his back and have his tummy rubbed. But...I changed that. I just kept making him let me do it. Now he loves it! Rocco has small dog syndrome! He likes to get in small spaces where he thinks you can't reach him, such as under the coffee table, under the bed and under the car. Then, he thinks he is a really tough dog and will bark and play chase. Rocco was always so pooped at night time after playing all day with everyone!
