I want a wife!

I have told this story to others, and they keep telling me I need to blog it. Evan has been so cute lately. He's been saying and doing so many new things. Brandon and I are fond of calling him nicknames and he always corrects us. "I'm not Honey, I'm Evan." Well, I guess about a month ago, we were sitting at the dinner table and Evan announces, "I want a wife!"
Us- "What?"
Evan- "I want a wife,"
Us- "Why do you want a wife, Honey?"
Evan- "I'm not Honey, I'm Evan"
Us- "Okay,...Evan, why do you want a wife?"
Evan- "Riley has one"
Us- "Riley has a wife?"
Evan- "Yep, see"
We look over to Riley and he is cutting open his roll with a butter "wife".
Gotta love that sweet little boy! -Pam-

Happy Birthday, Brandon!

Today was Brandon's birthday. I hope that he had a great day. I got up early to make him cinnamon rolls. He went into work a little late so he could stay and open presents this morning. We had some company this afternoon and they helped me decorate with balloons and streamers. Then I made Brandon steak and potatoes for dinner, upon his request. After dinner, we sang Happy Birthday and all had some cake and ice cream. And then he left for school. What a guy! I don't think he thought of skipping class for a second, where as I don't feel I even should have to get out of bed if it is my birthday. I know that every woman would probably say that they have the best husband, but I have to say that Brandon is the best man that I have ever known. I feel overwhelmed sometimes that Heavenly Father feels I am the soul mate of someone so wonderful as he is. He is so loving and generous and thoughtful. He is a truly great father. He works so hard to try to find a balance to life so that we can have a marriage and family life that is filled with joy and comfort. I am so thankful to have him in my life.
Brandon, I love you. And our children do, too. Happy Birthday, Honey! Love, Pam

Pretty in Pink

Our neighbor's have a beautiful tree in their front yard that is bright pink at times. I loved it during the snow fall and got several pretty pictures of it. I added one to the top of this blog. I am going to start another blog that is just mine. Friends have asked me about poetry that I have written and there are some pretty pictures that I have taken that I would love to show off, but don't really get a chance to. Someday, when I'm all grown up, I'd like to do something with some of talents that right now are just hobbies. Sometimes I get so lost in what I am supposed to be doing that I forget what I used to love to do. I guess I'm ready to get a little piece of that back before I forget about it altogether. Soon there will be a link on the side, for any one that is interested. -Pam-

Once again...

We have restored our computer. The only upside to all of this is that I can now download all of the 1hr trial games that I loved because they don't remember me doing it before. Other than that, I hate having to reinstall everything and trying to remember how everything was before. But it's done now. And I won't thing about it for another minute, because I'm about to get... LOST. Just one day left to the season premiere! I can't believe all of the waiting is over! In case anyone needs to get caught up, here's a little video to help. Happy Day! -Pam-

I just can't believe it!

I don't know how this keeps happening, but another virus snuck in under our radars. This time we had TWO programs running, trying to keep this stuff out. I feel like ripping my hair out! This time we are just restoring our computer instead of taking a few weeks to try to fix it. We will also be installing the same protection that we got for the laptop onto our computer, because it seems to work really well. My poor kids! I think I have had to apologize for my behavior a hundred times in the past day and a half. I HATE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Pam-

Back to life, back to reality...

I'm done. I feel a little lost now, not knowing what to do next. Most moments in the last week have been spent in our black recliner, covered in my cozy blanket with one of these books in my hands. My goal had been to finish by this Saturday so that I could say I had read 2444 pages in one week. But, I gave up my goal for a little peace in my family, one in particular not appreciating my obsession. But I am done now, and life can get back to normal. I love getting lost in a book. Pam

It seems like more than 10 days ago...

Here is a video of a game we played on New Year's Eve with some friends. It was called Raymonds Ravvin' Rabbids TV Party Edition, I think. First watch what the participant were watching....
Now watch what we all got to see...
We had a lot of fun with lots of our friends on New Year's Eve. Sorry to those of you that didn't want this video on the web. I don't know how to blur out faces. I'v got a ton of things to upload, so I decided to take a pause from my reading to upload these, but I really should get back to it. Thanks, Amy, for lending me the 4th book. I'm almost 300 pages in, and yes it is a lot different from the previous 3. I'll post again in about 450 pages just to let you all know if I've survived the series. Happy Day...Pam

Obsession!

When I was a teenager, I would get obsessed with books. Every now and again, I'll find a book that I love enough to devote a couple of days to reading. It's been awhile though. Until Saturday. For Christmas, Brandon had gotten me the first book in the Twilight series. I started it around noon on Saturday and finished it on Sunday around 8p.m. When I was a teen, I could of done it faster, but 5 hours of church and church activities, not being able to stay up later than 12:30, and having to set the book down to make meals all held me up in my quest to get to the end. By Sunday evening I was feeling really guilty that I had read a teen-vamp book all day. But... on Monday, after dropping Anna off at P.M. Kindergarten, I found myself at Target, searching for the next book. After much neglecting of my kids (and some other peoples, too,) I reached the end of the second book earlier tonight and craved more. I thought about it as I closed the book. I had just finished reading slightly more than 1000 pages in a total of probably no more than 38 hours or so. More guilt came from this thought as it took me over 1 1/2 years to finish reading the Book of Mormon. My house is a mess, my family thinks I'm crazy, and I can't help myself. I'm sure as I read the third and fourth books in the series, I'll be a little more reasonable. Speaking of which, I should get to my reading. I had to go to 4 different stores to find the third book, but it's mine now! If I have deep hollows underneath my eyes next time you see me, you'll know why! -Pam-

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to be the first person to say Happy New Year to all of my friends and family. I can't wait to make lots of fun memories with you this year. -Pam-
