Las Vegas 2010

Kirk and I used to live in Las Vegas. It's funny because it seems like another life time ago although it's only been about 2 years. We laugh about how 2 beach living, outdoor loving people could have ended up in such a dry and hot desert.
While we are so stoked to live in San Clemente, we still miss a lot of things about Vegas. There are SO many amazing places to eat, shop and visit, but most importantly, these are the people we miss the most:

Brock, Sloan, Jill and Skyler. We miss Jimmy a lot too but he's just not here in the picture. It was the sweetest thing in the world to see how much all of our family out there loved seeing Malia. It was like she was the guest of honor! I used to think I was pretty cool, but now my daughter trumps all coolness that I might have had:)
Here is Malia with her big cousin Sky. They are in love with each other! Skyler likes to play school and Malia is one of her "students" in her class. I loved seeing Malia's name on the roll, her seat and her grades. I guess Malia is quite the good student. So glad to hear!
I only wish these two girls could live down the street from each other so they could play all the time. I know we would absolutely love it!
On Saturday (10/16) Malia turned 3 months old! Here is the proud daddy with his pumpkin. She cracks me up with her personality. She is so giggly and happy and smiles some of the time (mostly in the mornings and during bath time, play time etc.) but a lot of the time she is so somber and serious. She is an old soul. I think our daughter is going to be the one telling us what we need to do. She'll probably be the parent before too long!
So anyway, above is my serious-still sporting a Mr. Maggoo look-baby girl on her 3 month birthday.
Okay, I have seen a lot of cute pictures, but I think this one takes the cake for ultimate cuteness! I couldn't believe how much baby Sloan (we call him baby Sloan although he is almost 4) loved his little cousin! He wanted to hold her all the time, love her and spend time with her. He was fascinated by her crying, diaper changing, and just about everything.
Malia is so lucky to have a big cousin that will be her best friend one day.
Yeah, ultimate cuteness again
Traveling with a new baby was a new adventure for us. Luckily Vegas is not across the country. With that said, it still seemed like a long trek. What used to take us 4 hours to drive with minimal stops with just Kirk and me, now takes 6-7 hours depending on how Malia is cooperating. She used to love sleeping all day long in the car but now gets a bit uncomfortable and grumpy if she's in her car seat too long. After fussing for a while and supplying her with all the toys, binkies, blankies, mirrors, music and shaking we could provide, this is how she ended up half way through the drive. She got quiet and fell asleep- sucking on her Sophie Giraffe's leg. It was hilarious, at least to me.
Getting out to stretch our legs was quite nice, especially since the weather was absolutely perfect this weekend! 80's during the day, 70's at night. We were able to eat icecream with Jimmy and Jill in our shorts after dinner. We watched the fight at the Frehners' while lounging in the spa. Vegas this time of year is awesome!
Alright, this wraps up the blogging for now, peace out!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

My awesome dad turned 55 this year! I would say he's getting old but he really is the youngest 55 year old I know! We were able to go out to lunch and dinner to celebrate his day. Lucky guy:) We went to Beachfire in San Clemente for lunch where I used to work for years and years and he got a yummy banana cream pie on an oreo cookie crust for his birthday. I could eat them every day. If you haven't had one yet and live close, go get one- right now!
Then off to Roy's for his birthday dinner. I am beginning to wonder what my family would do without food. It seem like so many of our favorite pastimes are centered around food. We like to eat. It's quite fun really. Here are my wonderful mom and dad. They became new grandparents for the first time a few months ago and are doing an excellent job at it!
Here is our family. Kirk broke his hand and had a hard time shaving. You can't really tell in this picture but his right hand has been affectionately named, "the paw." Thank goodness the wound is healing so he doesn't look like 'Head Wound Harry.' He can now hold Malia again! yay!
This big girl is moments away from getting in the way of our eating. She is grabbing things now and is SO strong! The other night at dinner with the Andersons she straight up knocked my water glass across the room. I wasn't ready for that, but will be next time.
This picture doesn't really have to do with my dad's birthday except it was taken on his special day. Have I succeeded in taking way too many pictures of my new princess? I know the answer to that question already:)

Here are some of my 2 month photos guys!

I love my activity mat friends. They are the nicest friends ever. They let me hit them, grab them, chew on them and they never talk back. I can play here for hours! My mom and dad are so lucky to have a baby that can entertain herself for hours so they can work and get stuff done! I can roll on my side on the mat- it's pretty exciting!
This is what we call the "Touchdown" position. After long days of playing I will pass out like this sometimes when mom and dad are getting ready for bed. Too funny!
Here I am with Auntie Brette at my first bonfire down at hole in the fence. We had a blast with some of our friends! Brette has a 11 week baby in her belly. Yeah, I am pretty excited to be friends with him/her soon:)
My mom is funny. She is always doing weird things and making funny noises for me. She's goofy and I'm a serious baby so usually I just stare at her and think, what the heck are you doing mom?
I love my Nana (of course!). She is the best babysitter and loves me to pieces! We escaped down to my grandpa's boat when we were having that crazy heat wave (104 degrees in San Clemente??!! Are you joking me?!!). You see, the boat has air conditioning where most places (including our house) does not have air conditioning. That was a weird Monday- crazy hot, and then the next Monday it was 50 degrees colder! Can you believe that?
These are some of the things we've been up to! We're having fun!

Switchin' up the do:)

I got bangs again and added some more layers. I like hair because you can cut it, color it and mess it around and then just grow it out and start all over again!
Malia didn't seem too impressed by my hair as you can see. But she is pretty excited about facing out in the Bjorn now. What a big girl!

Grandpa Walt's Funeral at Sea

It was a day of mixed emotions Saturday when all of the Weber family got together to celebrate the life of my grandpa- Walter Weber. We were excited to see family that we hadn't seen in some time, yet it was sad to say good-bye to one of the happiest and most positive men I have ever known! Grandpa Walt requested that he be cremated and have his ashes scattered over the ocean since being on the water and fishing were his favorite things in life. He was able to have all 4 of his boys and their families there to celebrate him. We love you Grandpa Walt and know that you are in a better place looking down on all of us. We will see you again one day:)

It's time for another car

So, I am a car dealer. It is one of the jobs that I have. In my profession I have to constantly be selling my car and so, it is that time again when my car needs to go. Let me tell you though, this car is perfect! There is nothing wrong with it and I love it! In fact, I will probably go to the auction after I sell this one and get the exact same thing (not much for creativity, more just for function and practicality).
I just put on new brakes and rotters, new Yokohama tires (the good ones) and she just had an oil change. I am selling this 2007 Lexus RX350 for $20,500!!! (Or best offer!) It's not like I am making money at this price, just selling it so I can go get another one. Here are some of the specs on it and please, don't think I'll be mad if you make me a different offer.
  • Navigation
  • Voice recognition phone dial
  • Built in Blue Tooth
  • Back-up Camera
  • Heated seats
  • Dual climate control
  • Power everything including the rear hatch which I LOVE with a baby and groceries
  • Charcoal exterior with light gray leather interior
  • Wood grain features inside
  • Privacy glass
  • Moon and Sunroof
  • 88K miles (yes high, but at this price it is still below kelley blue book)
  • Never smoked in, no accidents or paintwork
  • Aside from dirty floor mats (I'll clean them for you) this car is CLEAN!!
Some of my favorite things about this car is that it is so nice and comfortable to drive! I am now a Lexus driver for life. They are luxurious and practical and one of the SAFEST cars on the road (for that precious cargo). The back trunk area folds down for your husbands surfboards and I can still fit my stroller and groceries and shopping bags.
I love that I can say "japanese food" and it will find the nearest Japanese restaurants (or supermarkets, banks or gas stations for that matter). It is the best car for nearly everyone!
***Oh yes, and I do offer a pretty nice finder's fee if you find a buyer for my car also;)***
