Such Imagination

Caitlyn was being so cute this morning, she had this little monkey figureine under the table and she was pretending she was all tied up and that the monkey was supposed to save her. She kept talking to it telling it she was "all tied up and can't get out". Very Cute!

Back to School

Well today was the first day of school for Lexington, she's starting the third grade, and was really excited about taking the bus again.
Last night I gave her a father's blessing before the start of the new school year, and when we done Caitlyn jumped up and said "my turn daddy", she was so cute and sincere about that I gave her a blessing too.

Local Wildlife

Well we had our first encounter with the local wildlife this morning, this cute little guy showed up in the shower drain, and he's actually a lot smaller than this picture makes him out to be.
We showed him to Lexi so that she would know what to watch out for.

Kids are Back!

Well our girls finally joined us in Tempe today and it's great to have them back with us. Of course the first thing they wanted to do was check out the pool, and they were pretty happy with it.
They had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Overstreet, and I know they all had a great time together.

Summer Vacation

We had a great summer vacation this year and did something we have't tried before, which I guess the really the whole idea of a a summer vacation. Anyway, Tracy worked her magic reasearching again and found us a great deal on a houseboat vacation on the Shuswap lake in British Columbia. We rented a 40' houseboat for a week, which was supposed to sleep 8, and it would if it was 4 adults and 4 children, in our case it worked out nicley for our family of 4. There was a bedroom that we put Caitlyn in so that we could keep her contained, and then there was a loft style bunk that Lexi though was just "awesome" so we let her sleep upthere. Tracy and I took the couches that laid out into beds and it worked great.

The first day out on the lake was a little stressfull, as it was a Saturday afternoon and when we were trying to find a spot to dock the boat, there was little room available. However we met a nice local couple on one of the beaches, and they helped us out with how to get a good spot.
We didn't end up doing a lot of traveling on the lake as we came to find out that the beach we stopped at on the first night was one of the best on the entore lake. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time swimming in the lake and sliding down the slide off the back of the boat.

Another successful vacation, hope you like the pics.

Viva Las Vegas

Tracy and I just got home early Tuesday morning (2am) from a 5 day vacation in sunny Las Vegas. It was my first time visiting "Sin city" and we had a great time, we visited all most of the hotels, and saw a lot of the attractions. We were fortunate enough (due to Tracy dilligence) to get tickets to one of Garth Brooks' concerts at the Wynn Hotel, we sat on the second row (again Tracy's doing) and it was the best concert I've ever been to. Besides that, we saw The Reve at the Wynn, and also The Phantom of the Opera at the Venitian. We had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner at the Top of the World resturant at the Stratosphere, and I even got to hook up with an old mission buddy for lunch at Planet Hollywood (thanks Vaughn).

All in all we had an excellent time, and it was a nice break, I'll try to add some pics.
