Being a grown up stinks.

I am under the impression that if we would have been shown an informational video in school about the dangers of being an adult, we might not have been in such a hurry to grow up. Let's face it, it stinks. I have been working on loosing weight & just generally being healthier. It isn't as easy as it might sound. I have found my life is now full of calories burned vs. calories consumed. As I washed my face, brushed my teeth & used my fluoride, I realized just how exhausting the entire process is & the bad news is, I get to do it again tonight after I work out & eat a healthy 300 some-odd calorie meal. I have recently been introduced to a blog & I feel she adequately summed it up with the pie chart below (Props to Hyperbole & a Half)

So last night, in the middle of the night, I hear the strangest noise. Could it be Mohauna? No, she's lying next to me. Is Winston giving himself a super bath in the middle of the night? No, he's curled up with Reed. What could it be?

Adoption.

Reed & I know we can't have kids.  Reed & I know we really want kids.  We know we would be good parents.  So why does it have to cost so much to get good people a baby when bad people can have them for free?  I get so tired of hearing you should be a mother, YA I KNOW!  Get me the money & I can be.  Maybe I should hold an adoption car wash.

Maricopa Department of I don't give a damn...

I just spent 3 hours of my life driving around to rescue 2 Pit-bulls from death by car or Maricopa Animal Care & Control.  FYI - DON'T EVER CALL MARICOPA ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL!!!!  They should change their name to Maricopa Department of not giving a damn.  They wouldn't take the dogs because it was after hours.  A woman standing in their building told me this.  She was employed there but wouldn't help because she was off the clock.  Good news - they ended up on a farm in Glendale & the woman was super excited about them.
