C4C.Phindy.Humor.cupcake.craft

Hi blog friends, I have alot of birthdays coming up in the next few months so I need to catch up on my birthday cards. I used a cute phindy image, Here's to you, and followed this weeks challenge which is to use humor on your card. I used a fiscars stamp from a birthday set that has several funny sentiments. I think the paper is my minds eye. I added some bakers twine, gems, MS gems.

Does anyone use your sewing machine with no thread in the needle to paper pierce? I do it often and did it on this card. If I peirce freehand, I do it crooked! Try it, it works well. Toodles!

Challenges:

Mojo185.Spring.colors

Hi all, I figured I'd jump on the Easter Card bandwagon! I'll probably send it to one of my girls. I used some Echo Park papers and a mojo monday sketch. I used some springy colors too. The image is a pink cat studio digi which I colored with prismacolor pencils and OMS. (the lavender color on the flowers match the organza ribbon but it doesn't appear so in the photo). The sentiment on the inside says Easter Blessings. Links to some challenges are listed below.
Take care!

Housewarming.Card.SSS102

Hi bloggers, how was your weekend? Not quite over yet but close! I needed to make a card for my youngest daughter who moved out this weekend. (It's bittersweet) I used the latest Sweet shop sketch 102. I love to use ovals. I find them pleasing to look at.
I saw this sentiment in a stamp set which I don't own so I computer generated it on cardstock. I cut it out with a spellbinder die and stenciled with pink ink. I added a little leaf stamp.
To embellish, i used a little prima flower, a diecut heart and button threaded with twine. I used a EK success punch to surround the panels and embossed the background with a dot folder.  Thanks for visiting!

JUG77.SFYTT.Mom's Day

,
Hi Girlies, Well, I did it. I had a goal to make a zipper flower and I did it!!!!! A small feat for some but not for a obsessive perfectionist like myself :). Overall, it came out good and I like the card too! Just sneaking under the wire for the SFYTT for March. I mainly made this for the Just Us Girls Challenge this week. I changed my mind on the paper choice a million times. And I change my mind 2 million times on the sentiment.
I needed it to be for a special occasion because it's so pretty and I settled on Mother's Day. Stay warm if you are from the East Coast!

TESC135.CCC49

Hi all, I made a baby card for a few challenges to have on hand. I had a lot of fun making this, who doesn't like pastels and cute baby colors. The photo doesn't capture how pretty the colors are. I have been wanting to use this button paper for a baby card since I bought it over a year ago. I'm lovin my new PTI linen
thread that I used to thread th button. I used a Taylored Expression Sketch, 1st time, and the current City Craft Challenge. I'll have another card tomorrow to share. Kim :)

Mojo183.Phindy's.hot.colors

Here's a little birthday card for my stash using a Pink Cat Studio image and a mojo Monday sketch. The papers are a combination of My Mind's Eye and Echo Park. The warm colors fit the Phindy's challenge this week. Gotta make this a quick post. Thanks for looking! Kim

Mojo182.cr84fn20

Hi all, I wanted to have a sympathy/get well card in my stash so I made this card. I've had the stamped and colored image sitting around for months ago. I also had the paper picked out and sitting on my craft table. When I saw Mona's cr84fn20 challenge, the colors were perfect. And I used mojo182 for the sketch. I enjoyed using the seam binding. Believe it or not, I bought it 6 months ago and didn't use it. I decided that I didn't care for it when it was super wrinkled. So I ironed it and now I'm in love! It ties so nice without alot of bulk. Have a great week.
