Craftin by Designs Guest
Hi Friends, Today I'm guest designing for Crafting by Designs. I won the opportunity a few weeks ago and I happily said yes!!! The Challenge is Halloween! Won't you come play along?
The challenge is wide open to any Halloween themed project so I decided to make treat boxes. I wanted to give the little girls at my Grandson's daycare a little something sweet so I set about making these. Why are they pink and not purple? Because I wanted to use only what I had on hand ( and the little Girlies won't care!) I don't keep a large stash of 12 x 12 paper.
I dusted off my Cricut Expression and the cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes and More" to cut the little boxes. They went together in a snap. Cut at 5" or so, I got 2 cuts from each 12 x 12 paper. I inked all the edges to hid the white core of the paper.
I used my new MFT Which way to the candy stamp set for the cute kitty and colored them with Copics and die cut them out. I used punches for the moon (2" circle), MS bats and MS fence. Inside I tucked animal crackers inside small clear treat bags and tied them up with bakers twine,
(background paper-K&Co.)
Thanks again, Craftin by Designs! Kim

Power Poppy, SSS241
Hi Friends, I have another non traditional colored Christmas card to share today. I'm using my new Power Poppy Frosted Gingerbread stamp set. I will enter into the Peep of the Week Challenge at Power Poppy.
I'm a sucker for Gingerbread Houses. I used to make them with my kids and with my daughter's girl scout troop! I plan to use this stamp set with many different colors and techniques. I love it.
I turn the sketch on its side and used MFT's icicle die for the flag element. Reminds me of drippy icing! I cut the blue paper incorrectly so my card is a little bit different from the sketch.
I believe the paper pad is MME. Some other details are: Stitched circle die-MFT, Ink-Momento TB, Teal Zeal, Rich Cocoa, Pink, Copics, Stickles-crystal, Sequins-Studio Calico.

DS174
Hi Friends, I've got a Halloween card for you today! I colored up this sweet MFT witch from BB Which way to the candy. weeks ago and haven't had a chance to put her on a card. Halloween is next week so I'd better get a move on. I had so many ideas for this stamp set that I didn't get to make because I was sick for 2 weeks. Oh well.
I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch 174 to showcase her, another one of Jen's brilliant sketches. I turned it on its side. I tried so hard to add a bow but it just wouldn't work out.
The papers are Basic Grey's Erie collection. The MFT sentiment of the same set in stamped on a partial MFT tag die. Not sure who makes the spider web punch, the enamel dots are various makers, mostly MME. Hmmm, now who shall I send this to?

Mojo & Merry
Hi Bloggers, I made a card for this week's Merry Monday 368 challenge with the theme of non-traditional colors and paired it with Mojo Monday Sketch ___ . This style card is a little different for me. I rarely just stamp a card but I am learning. When I first got into card making I used cricut cuts then graduated to coloring images using mostly sentiment stamps. Now I am doing more straight stamping, because it's fun!
I used all Momento Ink colors, knowing I wanted non-traditional colors. I wasn't sure what to do with the background so I decided to go for a color blocked effect to match the ink. Not using patterned paper is also outside my norm but I'm pretty happy with these 2 cards. Links to challenges below.

RS137
Hi Friends, I'm playing in this week's Retro Sketches 137 so I can try a trendy Halloween card, two actually! I don't own the die with the happy word inside so I cut my SSS happy word die and placed it over a circle cut. I cut the 2 rectangles with classic SB dies.
I had picked up some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in some Halloween colors a while back and made a fun shaker card. The design paper is American Crafts, the sentiment is MFT, the dark gray CS is SSS and the purple is SU!

DS171
Hi Friends, I completely missed WCMD, I had a god reason, my baby daughter got married! oh what fun we had and we were so blessed with perfect weather. But yesterday I had a chance to make a card so I whipped this up. I used a retired Flourishes stamp, one of my old favorites!
I used this weeks Colour Q Challenge to help me choose the colors or markers I was going to use. Then I used this weeks DS 171 to help me put the card together. I added brown twine and a few pearls.
Thanks for visiting! Kim
