Anderson August- Our lucky # 7

Andeson August (Anders for short) joined our family on:

October 7 (our 7th wedding anniversary) at 2:07 PM, weighed 7.9 lbs, 21 inches long and I pushed for 7 minutes. He was and is perfect. I feel so blessed. My heart could burst daily!

On Friday the 4th I went to the doctor and had higher blood pressure than normal. They ran blood work and a 24 hour test ( I had to collect my pee! Classy) On Monday, my actual due date, they induced me. I was terrified to say the least! I have heard of so many woman being induced and having emergency c-sections after pushing for hours! Spare me! Luckily that was not my case.

Sunday night I got a phone call from the hospital telling me that they would call me anytime between 5-8 AM on Monday telling me when to come in. I debated setting an alarm to get up and get ready before 5 but then quickly threw that idea out the window. I went to bed and waited for the call. I woke up at like 5:15 AM no call so I went back to sleep. Then I woke up at 7:15 AM to a missed call and VM from the hospital saying come in.....they called at 6:15 and I missed it! Well I forgot that I put a do not disturb on my phone from like 12AM-7AM unless it is someone from my favorites list calling! Anyway, I called the hospital, quickly got ready and we were out the door.

Once we got to the hospital I had a nice little chat with the nurses about my fears. They calmed them and I was hooked up by about 8:30. They started pitocin around 9 and by 11 I had my epidural. Shortly after 11 Hillary and Megan came to keep me company! They came with treats and magazines and it was perfect. It made the time go by really fast!

I kept telling the nurses that I was feeling a ton a pressure (this went on for like an hour) she said are you telling me at the peak of the pressure.....yes. She then told me to up my epidural...which I did twice! Dr. Ponder came to check on me and I was a 9 1/2. She said she was going to go upstairs for an appointment and then would be back down and we should be ready. Not even 5 min later she came back into the room and said she had checked my monitor and I was ready to go! Me, Megan & Hillary all may have started crying when she said I was ready to push. I pushed for 7 min and out came our sweet Anderson. He was darling and we fell instantly in love! I have to mention Jordan. He was a great support! He is always so loving and sweet while I am bringing our babies into the world..

London

Our sweet little London is almost 2! I think that I am having a harder time with her turning 2 then I was with her turning 1. I am trying to soak up every last second that I have with her before her baby brother makes his big debut! Sometimes I honestly feel so overwhelmed with joy that I think I could burst into tears. Is this normal or hormonal? Both? Whatever it is, I am greatful that I have those feelings! Don't get me wrong, this blog is not to sugar coat real life....it can be hard to....but to have the overwhelming greatful, joy filled moments are so priceless. I never want to forget!

She is starting to talk a lot and everyday is something new. Jordan and I are continually in awe of her and can't imagine how she can get any cuter and then she does! I thought I would write some things that she is loving, saying and doing so I don't forget......

• She loves daycare

• She loves her Kitty- A.K.A- Daniel Tiger’s neighborhood. There aren’t a lot of things that make her cry but if I say no to her Kitty you can count on some huge tears, then laughs from Mom & Dad and me eventually giving in….she really just loves it so much!

• She loves to spot airplanes

• She wants to show me everything and will constantly say: “Look Mom”. I didn’t know I could love something as simple as that so much! I love sharing in her new discoveries. Things that mean nothing to me or that I take for granted have been so fun to rediscover!!!

• She loves feeding the horses at daycare

• She loves to walk hand in hand with Jordan and I and go limp….we are teaching her that she has to count 1-2-3 GO!

• She loves to swim and has no fear

• She loves veggies! I hope this one continues

• She also really loves treats! What can I say, she is my girl!

• She loves to steal our diet coke and will say “My Coke”! Oops!

• She loves Minnie Mouse- this is the theme to her 2nd b-day party

• She is always concerned when Jordan or I will leave and will say: “Where did Daddy/Mommy go” It’s so sweet!

• She loves shoes! She loves walking around in all my heels and wedges! I told her the other day that no matter how tall she is I always want her to wear heels!

• She loves to share her food & water with us!

• She is very independent and if we are holding her she will say: “I walk” and then will wiggle out of your arms until she is off on her own

• She likes to wrap her dolls/stuffed animals up in blankets! And she loves to get all her diaper changing stuff out and “practice” So cute!

• She loves to run away from us if we ask her to come over……she will look at us in the eye then turn around laughing and running the other way! Crazy Girl!

• She has a few nick names, Lonny Girl, Lou-Lou, Cray- Cray, fun nugget, crazy, baby girl…….

• She loves to “float” on her back in the bathtub or swimming pool! She will say over and over “I float, I float!

• After we say prayers she holds her arms high in the air and says AMEN!

• She loves to sing songs and the louder you sing the more she laughs

• She loves to scream, and I totally encourage this! It’s so cute….I am sure one day I will be sorry but for now, it’s fun and we love it!

• Every time something lands in her hair or flies around her, she thinks it’s a bee! We have bee’s in our backyard so she thinks that everything is a bee.

• If there is a dead bug on the sidewalk she stops, crouches down and says: “ Oh, No”! She has eaten a few box-elder bugs too….awesome!

• She is always saying:” Oh- WOW” when something is new to her. I love her love for everything!

• When we go for walks it will take 35 min to just walk around the block because she is stop and smell every flower and say good-bye to it. If we walk by any sort of ledge she will stop and take a seat and just look at everything around her! She teaches me more about really living than I think that I will ever be able to teach her.

She is honestly that best thing that has ever happened to us. We feel so lucky to be her parents and thank God everyday for her! She really is just a fun, loving, sweet little girl! I love her concern for people when people are sad or the way she wants to make you laugh! She loves playing with her friends and running around, screaming and being with the “BIG” kids! The joy that she brings is unreal! Who knew!?

We know that she will be a great big sister, we can’t wait to bring her to the hospital to meet her baby brother. We are under so false illusions that there will be a lot of learning and patience tested but we are ready (we think). We have loved every second of being a family of 3, spoiling the heck out of London and just being around her! We are ready to be a family of 4 and know that it will be just as amazing and even more amazing than we can even imagine!

We love you London! We are so happy that we have been able to love on you for these two years! We want you to always love life, people and stop and smell the roses! We can't wait for you to have a sibling and to love on him and teach him all the good habits that you have! We will never be able to tell you enough how much we really, really love you!!! Always remember that no matter what, we will be here for you, to love you and learn with you! Never stop being you! Happy 2nd birthday baby girl!

Life is good, God is great!!!

It's a.................

Today we found out what we were already feeling!!! We are having a BOY! We are SO excited! Jordan especially that the family name will be carried on! We are due on October 7, 2013, our 7th wedding anniversary! We would love to have the baby on that day. But we all know these things are planned! Our baby boy was super active and stuck his tongue out at us. It's such a relief to have a healthy baby growing inside of me. Now, for everything else to goes as smoothly. We think that London will be a great big sister but are under no crazy illusion that there will be a learning curve for everyone!

Blogging somehow seems like a thing of the past to me. I document our life via instagram. You can follow us there if you would like!!! It's so fun to watch London grow, discover new things, fall in love with certain things and play with friends!

Life couldn't feel more right at this moment for our little family. We are so happy and healthy an all seems right. My heart is so full I feel like I could burst. We are overwhelmed with all of the love and support we receive from friends and family. THANK YOU!!!!!

I am making no promises that I will get better at blogging but there is always a small glimmer of hope!!!

Party On.........we sure are!

It has been such a FUN & FAST year with London. She constantly brings us so much joy & excitement. She is always laughing and loves to get into EVERYTHING! She is in the 94% for height and 50% for weight! We love our tall girl! I wish I could give you a list of her favorite foods, but the fact is that this girl LOVES IT ALL! She loves trying food. Indian, Thai, Japanese, Mexican...she has had it and loves it! We are actually really HAPPY that she is not a picky eater! She sleeps like a champ and is always happy when we get her out of bed. She loves going to daycare and loves when we pick her up! Recently she has starting roaring at people! She thinks she is a lion....what can I say!? We just got a Zoo pass and she is loving that. We can't imagine life without her and love every second that we have with her. We really aren't sure what we did before her, who we stared at or who made us laugh! We love being parents to London!

This girl......

We like really LoVe her! London is so, so funny!

Some fun things about her:

• She is always telling us stories, loves to use her hands when she talks!

• The girl can crawl like a champ!

• She loves clapping, eating, saying Dada, Dog, Hi & waving. Sometimes if I am lucky she will say mama.
  • She will be sitting  by herself and just start craking up! It is just about the cutest thing in the world!
  •  She will eat anything!! She will also crawl over anyone to get to anyone who is eating! Awesome!

• She LoVe's people (I am so proud).

• She loves going to & getting picked up from Daycare. It is seriously the high light of my day when I walk in the door and she gets the biggest smile and crawls right over to me! We are told that all the kids follow her around and she follows all the kids around! It's been so great knowing she goes to the best daycare where she is loved!!

• She loves to look at books

• She loves the pool! Yea for water babies!!!

• She is starting to explore every drawer and cupboard in our house!

• She flaps her arms like a bird when she gets excited! Hilarious!

• She has 6 teeth, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom

• She still sleeps thru the night!! (since 7 weeks) Thank you, London

• She has a smile that will melt your heart!!!

• She is VERY social and VERY curious! She has to know what is going on all the time! I think she gets that from her mama

• She will only cuddle if she is tired. It makes me a little sad but it’s so fun to see her grow.

• She doesn’t have one toy or blanket that she is attached too. Well, maybe it’s the I-phone that she is attached too. Great.

• She has the world’s longest baby legs!! We are hoping for a tall one!

• Her hair is growing more everyday and its goes from dark blonde to light blonde to red to a combo of all 3

• She has the most gorgeous blue eyes

• She is always going with the flow of her wild parents and never complains. Like riding in a short school bus for 10+ hours to California! Hollar!!

• She can party until the end! Definitely our girl

· She is just overall HAPPY all of the time! She definitely makes life more fun!

It is breaking my heart that she is coming up on her first birthday! I was just reading the posts I wrote while pregnant and it really seems like yesterday. She has brought more joy into our life than we ever thought possible. She is so happy all the time, I am constantly being told: do you know how rare this is? Rare or not, we LOVE it and we LOVE our perfect, happy little (big) girl!!

London's 1st Easter

The Easter Bunny came!!! He brought London practical things!!!

She loved them!

Our family! Yes, I did wear that fabulous head piece to church!!! I am sorry you are jealous!

My adorable, happy, sweet baby girl on her first Easter in our tulip garden!

And another one!

We had a fabulous Easter. We had a lovely Sunday brunch with Swedish pancakes, eggs, hash browns and juice. Then we went to church, then headed down to Sundance to be with Jordan's family. I can't wait until next year when London will be running around picking up eggs.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!

Neighborly Love

Last night as we were finishing up our family birthday dinner (it was Stephanie & Joe's bdays) we got a knock on our door. It was our sweet neighbor who had a big Market Street bag in her hand filled with hot clam chowder, bread and two salads. She said it sounded good to her, so she picked us up some too!!!

I was so grateful! Jordan will be working late all week so this food will be so nice to have already in our fridge ready to eat!!!

I am so grateful for wonderful neighbors & yummy food!
