San Diego then back to school

Busy, Busy. School has started up already and I am struggling to get used to all the crazy schedules around here!
Celeste started 8th grade and so far is enjoying her teachers!
Clayton is still sad to be at a new school but thinks his teacher is the nicest teacher ever!
Jonathon is once again at a new school for priority preschool but can't wait for the bus to start picking him up again!
Addison is a busy girl, crawling, standing and attempting first steps.
Life will calm down soon once we get the hang of everyones schedules!

At the end of July, we went to San Diego. We stayed downtown for the first couple of night and mostly just walked and ate, and ate some more. We did however fin and amazing pancake house, Richard Walker's, and if you ever go there make sure to get the applepancake. Definately, not shareable!!

While the boys went to a Padres game, the girls toured downtown and ended up at the MLK memorial walk. So we decided it was photo time! Celeste is an MLK baby so it was fitting!

Trying to get a family photo and a view from our room at the same time! Obviously, it didn't work too well!

Girls Rule!

Celeste and Addison at the park.

Crazy spinny thing, once you got started, it didn't stop!

The last days were spent at Mission Bay. We usually don't make a lot of plans except sit by the beach and enjoy the time with our family. We run around so much while we are at home, it's nice to get away and just have some quality time together!

The girls on the porch, with the bay behind us.

Addison attempting the stairs off the porch to get to the beach!

Sunsets are always amazing.

Celeste and Papa enjoying the view.

The boys getting along! SHOCKER!

Why did she have to go
So young I just don't know why
Things happen half the time
Without reason without rhyme
Lovely, sweet young woman
Daughter, wife and mother
Makes no sense to me
I just have to believe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

Loved ones she left behind
Just trying to survive
And understand the why
Feeling so lost inside
Anger shot straight at God
Then asking for His love
Empty with disbelief
Just hoping that maybe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

It's hard to say goodbye
Her picture in my mind
Will always be of times I'll cherish
And I won't cry 'cause

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me
Don't worry 'bout me
Don`t worry 'bout me

(Sissy's song by Alan Jackson)

Here are some pictures from Shannan's funeral in Utah. It was really good to see so many friends and family that we hadn't seen in so long. It was so good to see Austin and Westin. Even though Celeste is only five months younger than the boys, in my head they were still so small. It was amazing to see how talented and sweet they have become. Thanks Marsha for the pictures!! Celeste threw my camera in the lake!!

Lake Powell

We went on a houseboat trip with my Dad to Lake Powell. We had a blast! I was a bit nervous with the kids around water all day but they all survived! It was nice to get to know my step brother and sister better, since I really have no contact with my brother Mike. We had a great week of jet skis, tubing, horseshoe and lasso golf tournaments. We hope to make it an annual trip.

Clayton's first home run!

Clayton played his first year of kid pitch this year! It was a very interesting one... we weren't a huge fan of his coach. I willl leave out the details, I am moving on. We couldn't have ended the season better. During the last game that Clayton would be in, he hit his first in park homerun! When we talked to him about it and congratulated him he said, " I wish my home run hit my coach in the head!" But, that is another story!! He may look like me, but he inherited his dad's anger issues! Way to go Clayton! I hope you hit a few more next season!

Sadly, these are all pics from 2 years ago. This year he played for the White Sox and Russ kept score while I attempted to keep Addison entertained! So the camera never became a possibility!

Jonathon's last day of school

All the kids are finally out of school! Jonathon is moving to another school again! This will be his third preschool in three years. Good thing he is social like his dad! Here are some pics from his last day including his best friend Tyler!

Hip hop pics

We missed Celeste's dance recital last weekend but I have some pictures of how cute she would have looked! This is Gabby and Celeste and their pictures before pictures after full hair and make-up. Thanks to Debbie for getting them ready and so beautified!
