The Fourth of July 2011

We had a fabulous Fourth of July!

The kids found these confetti/candy rockets when they woke up. We have done this a few times now and is always a hit!
Gage and Amberly searching through the confetti to make sure they found every last piece of candy.
We enjoyed a Red, White, and Blue breakfast. It's always a little wierd eating colored eggs! The things we do for our kids :)
Later in the day we went over to Jordan and Janell's home for more fun! We swam and BBQ'd.

We rode our decorated bikes in a parade...
Jordan put on a fireworks show for us. The kids got to hold Sparklers...
Here's the biggest kid of them all!
We went to watch the fireworks at our towns Fourth of July Celebration. I was worried that Emmalin would be afraid of the noise. She LOVED them!! She oooh'd and ahhhh'd!!!

After the fireworks show we went back to J & J's for a late night swim and homemade ice cream.

YUM! J & J have a light in their pool that changes colors. The pool water went from blue, to green, to yellow, to a pinky-purplish color. It was SO cool!
Kimball and his make-shift floating device... ha ha ha! Pretty clever!!
I LOVE the Fourth of July!! I am so grateful for the Freedom and Independence that we get to enjoy in this GREAT country! God bless the USA!!!!!

Our Goofy Family!

It started out innocently enough. Kimball was taking a picture of the three of us -- Emmalin, me, and himself. Out of nowhere Carrigan jumped in the shot... Next thing we know, Gage and Amberly are there too! And then the goofiness began!! Happy times!!

Father's Day 2011

For Father's Day we wanted to give our Dad something that he could put on his desk at work to remind him how much we love him. We decided some pictures would be in order. Gage had a fun idea to use speech bubbles so the kids could "say" what they love about their dad.

I often find it is hard to get a good group shot of this bunch. But I think because they were excited to be doing something for their Dad they all cooperated. The pictures are far from professional, but they work.

Happy Father's Day Dad/Kimball!! We LOVE you!!!!!!!

Spirit Week

The last week of school was Spirit Week. The kids loved it!

Wacky Hair and Crazy Sock Day...

Nerd Day...

Future Profession Day. Gage is a Desert Tour Guide, Amberly is a Superstar, and Carrigan is a nurse.
Carrigan was so excited for school today. She had the pockets of her scrubs loaded with Bandaids and lollipops for the kids in her class.
It's been a great year of school! Let the SUMMER begin!!!!

Senora Amberly

Senora Douglass chose Amberly from all of 2nd grade to recieve the Spanish Award. She shows enthusiasm for the language, helps her classmates, and has an eagerness to learn more. We called her Grandparents who are on their mission in Mexico to share the news. They tell us she is very good with her pronunciation and accent of the words. Super job Amberly! Amberly and her 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Sanchez

Gage's Wax Museum

3rd grade put on a Wax Museum. The kids chose a character, memorized a few facts about that character, and then dressed the part. They had red buttons near them that visitors would push and then they would come to life. It was really cute.

Gage was his hero, Steve Irwin!

Carrigan's Kindergarten Graduation

She did it! She made it through Kindergarten. It was a challenge for her to be away from Mom all day. There were many (possibly most) day's that I would be pushing her in the door as her teacher pulled. While there, I know she had a great time and made lots of friends.Mrs. Marta had a baby 6 weeks before school let out. Carrigan love Mrs. Marta and missed her tons. Mrs. Marta was from Poland and taught the kids some of the language. They also had the opportunity to write to pen pals in Poland.
Mrs. Howard took Mrs. Marta's place after she had her baby. Mrs. Howard took Carrigan under her wing and really was wonderful. She was from London and Carrigan LOVED her accent!
A few of Carrigan's friends from school. Katie, Gracie, Emmalin, Carrigan, and Kylan.

Way to go Carrigan!

Amberly's Baptism

We are so proud of Amberly! She made an important decision to be baptized and confirmed today. She is a beautiful young lady. So full of life! She was surrounded by family and friends on this special day of hers.

She was comical in the dressing room. She was not fond of the white jumper she needed to wear. She is our little fashionista and this did not get her approval. I thought she looked darling! Proud Mom and Dad!

Amberly shares her birthday and now her baptism day with Kayla Medlyn. Aren't they beautiful. Congrats girls!
