Fourth of July Parade 2012
A little excited to take my kids to the 4th of July parade for a few reasons. The Killpack's usually have a family reunion on this weekend where we go camping at Ferron Reservior, but, since we had moved and all of our camping things were in storage, James decided to not go this year. And since we were back in Cedar, and this town does a lot for holidays such as this one, we decided to take the kids to the parade on Main Street.

It was truly hot, though not as hot as St. George gets. I persuaded my family to come up and be with us, at the parade. They look thrilled:

Hot and thrilled, I might add, but we had good time, and the kids loved seeing their grandparents and Uncle Kirk there too.

We got there a bit later than everyone, and had to be on the sun side of the street. I actually did not mind a bit. My kids were able to sit at the curb, and run around. I was actually really conscious of my little Audrey who I had started potty training on the 19th of June. She had the hang of it, but still had to be in close proximity to the bathroom. She looked adorable in those little pigtails, I must say.

Grant and Audrey actually did pretty well at the parade, but things got better when the balloon guy came around selling balloons for a dollar.
We had a Happy Fourth of July!

Fun at the Pink House
It was kind of funny moving from Casper to Cedar City in that we were not going to be moving right in to a new house. I felt bad about this, but really tried to play up our new adventure in our rental house as sort of an adventure. I really played up the color of the house, and how "cute" everything was on the inside.
It totally worked. My kids absolutely fell in love with the pink house. I don't know if they were as thrilled to be out of Wyoming as I was, or if they really thought that the Pink House was fun, I honestly
don't know. Here are some pics of those days back in the Summer of 2012, when moving to Cedar was brand new:

-I must have really worked up the charm of this house with the kids. They absolutely loved the back yard. Even with this old and faded swing with a big rip in it, was a favorite place for them to be. In case I have been too vague, the Pink House was actually a bit of a dump, to put it nicely. But we made the most of it, and had some good memories there!

I guess this just goes to show that no matter what the situation is, just as long as we are together as a family, any situation can be fun.
