Cedar Breaks

We love being back in Utah so we can take advantage of all the wonderful things that Cedar has to offer. One of those things is Cedar Breaks, which is about 24 miles from where we live. anxious to get out of out current living conditions, James and I packed up the kids early on A Saturday morning, and decided to take a picnic lunch with us up to Cedar Breaks. so we did. We had a lot of fun! It was a good call. the kids were surprisingly good on the trip. Probably after having been in the car for so many trips, they do pretty well.

I love that I have to hold Grant and Audrey is patiently waiting by my side. funny how different their personalities are.

We found a picnic up there and had lunch and let the kids play. So fun!

My Audrey had lots fun running around everywhere up there.

Never gets old looking at lil ones up on James' shoulders.

After our fun up on Cedar Breaks, we went home the scenic route (by Panguitch Lake), and when we got to Parowan, they were having a car show, with all sorts of fun things for the kids. Since we didn't want to go back quite yet, we stopped and let the kids play. They had a ball!

A little warm this day. My Audrey does not take to heat too well. I would also like to add, that we got our fussy Audrey into another car seat, so she can't fuss with the harness anymore.

Easter 2012

We planned an impromptu trip to St. George, since we sold our house in Casper. We had lots of fun in the warm weather and my parents planned an Easter egg hunt for them.

They were so excited and it was so much more fun then the Easter egg hunts they do in Casper, where all the eggs are gone in a matter of seconds.

Grant's big thing these days is giving hugs to whomever we ask him to give one. (Which, I must say, that I do ask for more than my fair share.) He will give Audrey hugs on demand, and sometimes, whether she likes it or not. Most of the time, she does like it though!

We loved having Easter with my family, instead of the usual happenings which is just. Our little family doing an Easter egg hunt around the house, because it is too cold in Casper. Love southern Utah!

Minnie Dress Up

For Halloween this past year, Audrey was Minnie. we hung up her costume in the closet, and she hasn't had much to do with it since. this spring, Audrey noticed it in her closet, and asked to be put in it. What could I say? I love having a little Minnie in the house!

One of the many things I love about my Audrey is that no matter what she is wearing, there is never a bad time to just play in the dirt, which she loves to do. S is content for long stretches of time just playing. She is very good about entertaining herself no matter what she is doing!

Grant Turns Four!

Grant had a fun day on his Fourth birthday. Of course, our day started off with Grant's pancakes shaped like fours. This is perfect for him since his favorite breakfast these days in pancakes. Since we were getting close to our move, James and I are hesitant to buy anything new for the kids, so we treated Grant to a day at the aquatic center, which he thoroughly enjoyed. James and Grant went down the slide at least a dozen times. Grant also loves fans, so James and I, at our family party, got him a portable fan. It was fun hearing him say, "It's a fan!"

It seems like a silly gift, but Grant loves it. He sleeps with it every night. He is so funny!

His cake this year was a Jell-O poke and pour which I made myself, with a yummy pudding and cool whip frosting, that Grant enjoyed more than cake. Too fun!

Ayres Natural Bridge

Kay, so we went to the Ayres Natural Bridge, and I am looking through my pictures, and I realized I took tons of the kids and James, and none of the actual attraction itself! For the record, it was a neat bridge, but the actual park and surrounding area was beautiful. they had a place for the kids to play, plenty of greenness (is that a word?), and a river with benches nearby, so you can watch your kids. It was way fun, and one of the fun last things that we did in Casper. It would have been the perfect place to take our parents, had we of had the idea sooner, but oh well. We had fun as a family.

James volunteered to spin the merry-go-round, and later admitted that it had made him a little dizzy. Don't think he will be taking on the job any time again soon.

Speaking of being dizzy, I think Grant got a little woozy after being on this as well. He never expressed desire to ride it again.

Throwing rocks and sticks in the river was a big hit. We had to keep offering them to the kids and we couldn't do it fast enough.

I think Grant preferred this old fashioned model instead. I think I would too.

Cute kids. We had so much fun our last Sunday in Casper!
