Happy Halloween!

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This Halloween was so much fun! I think having a kid makes any holiday more enjoyable...and even though she wasn't old enough to go trick-or-treating yet, we still had ton's of fun decorating and dressing her up in her little costume :) These are some of our Halloween decorations. We had lot's of fun decorating this year!
These are our pumpkins! Mine is on the top and Kiley's is on the bottom.
This is Kiley's bench that he brought home from work one day, so we  dressed it up a little :)

And here is our Little Stinker! She was so smiley on Halloween night, I was so happy! We got some good pic's :)
I swear she made the cutest little skunk I have ever seen!

"Whyyyyyyyy are you doing this to me?! I just wanna take a nap!"

So, I have to tell a little about this skunk costume. It only cost me $8 to make! I found a black velvet skirt and a black velvet pair of pants at the DI that I used for the black in her costume. And the white, furry part is an old coat that was given to me a long time ago that I never wore. Then I took some old PJ's that someone handed down to Azuree that I wasn't too fond of, unpicked the stitching, and used it as a pattern. I won't lie it was very frustrating at times, but I eventually made it work! And it is *definitely not the most well made costume ever, but I had a lot of fun doing it...most of the time :)

Ya, Kiley and I are lame. We couldn't come up with a costume in time :( But I think we had enough fun with Azuree's costume to make up for it!

It seemed like we had a lot more trick-or-treaters this year than last year, and I don't think we had enough candy...oops. But we had some really cool trick-or-treaters! We had a mad scientist, Davy Crockett...

   ...a fireman...

 ...a beautiful fairy...

...and some crazy girls! It was a very fun Halloween :)

And here are just some random pics of, guess who...Azuree! That's my new hobby, take pic's of my baby :)
We started her on cereal not too long ago. I know it doesn't really look like it in this pic, but she actually loves it!
This picture makes me LAUGH! It's such an innocent, sweet look. Ya, she knows she's cute :)
This picture looks like she has some front teeth growing in, but she doesn't. We think she might be teething because of all the chewing and drooling and whining, but nothing has come through yet. Probably won't be too long though! It seems like she is growing up so fast and it's so fun! I love watching her learning and discovering new things. Being a Mom is everything I've ever dreamed it would be and more. It's so neat 'cause I always think that  life can't get any better than it already is,and yet somehow it always does. Amazing isn't it? :)
Anyways, we love you all and hope your day is going well! To finish off, here's a quote that made me laugh...
"I'm so optimistic I'd go after Moby Dick in a row boat and take the tartar sauce with me."

Family Pictures

Family pictures!!
These are WAY over due! We had these done when Azuree was 2 weeks old, so they are a little old. I've been meaning to post them but the old version of blogger wouldn't let me for some reason. But the new version will! Ha ha! So here are some of our family pictures, just for fun. (And Azuree's baby pictures)

Sorry there are so many, but I just love them :) Hope your day is going well!

"In the Church, our belief in the overriding importance of families is rooted in restored doctrine. We know of the sanctity of families in both directions of our eternal existence. We know that before this life we lived with our Heavenly Father as part of His family, and we know that family relationships can endure beyond death...What matters most is what lasts longest, and our families are for eternity." M. Russell Ballard

“There can be no genuine happiness separate and apart from the home, and every effort made to sanctify and preserve its influence is uplifting to those who toil and sacrifice for its establishment. Men and women often seek to substitute some other life for that of the home; they would make themselves believe that the home means restraint; that the highest liberty is the fullest opportunity to move about at will. There is no happiness without service, and there is no service greater than that which converts the home into a divine institution, and which promotes and preserves family life...” Joseph F. Smith

Summer Fun! Part 2

Wow...I am really struggling with this new, updated blog format, so if some things are kinda' off just bear with me...hopefully it won't turn out too weird... P.S. sorry this is so late :)

What a summer!!! Here are the last pictures of our summer fun...
Garrison stayed with us for the summer. It was very fun to have him here. We felt kinda' bad cause we kinda' abandoned him for the whole summer. We stayed in Aurora for most of the summer so it felt like we didn't get to spend much time with him. But the time that we did spend with him was a blast! :)
After the Jepson reunion we headed to San Diego with my family to go to the Skouson reunion! Here are some pic's we snapped of our activities with the Skouson Family! :)

This is Azuree and Daddy on our way to San Diego. It was very late and we were all so tired. (Btw, this picture was taken in a Wal Mart parking lot after a feeding break. We weren't driving with her out of the car seat :)
When we arrived in San Diego we took a quick snooze before all the fun began. It started off with my cousin Cooper's baptism at the church. While we were there we snapped a 4-generation picture of great-grandma Skouson, grandma Call, Mommy and baby Azuree. So much fun!

This is Momma Call wading in the ocean at the beach. She's the one out there with the most clothing on. It just made Kiley and I laugh :) We love you mom!!
If Azuree doesn't look very happy in this picture...it's because she's not. Oh boy, the things mom's do to their babies to get a cute picture :) This was her first time at the beach and to say the least, she did NOT like those sunglasses! But we are hoping that they will grow on her 'cause they are SO cute! Anyways, here's our lil' beach babe.

We spent most of our time trying to keep this little girl warm, but it was still so much fun to visit with family and to spend a day at the beach :)

We had so much fun!

This is Azuree getting a bath in the hotel sink. She loves bath time, no matter where it is :)
Here she is with great-grandma Skouson. Does it seem like all we do is take pictures of Azuree? We just can't help it!! :)
Aunt Symony on our way back to Utah.

Our next big adventure was getting to spend a weekend at the Nelson's cabin! Thank you so much Nate and Misty for making it a fun weekend! Here are some random pics from our weekend at the cabin...

It was a weekend full of fun and relaxation :)

On Sunday everyone headed to Cedar City for Azuree's baby blessing. It was such a special day! It meant so much to Kiley and I to have everyone there! And thanks to everyone who helped with the luncheon afterwards. It really meant a lot to us :)
Here are some pics of Azuree's special day. She wore the same dress that I was blessed in which I thought was kinda' fun and special. She looked so cute!

Yes, she is getting quite chubby and I love it! Don't you just wanna squeeze those cheeks!

And just a few more random pics's to finish...

Well, I think that pretty much concludes our summer fun pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better, more eventful summer! We loved every minute of the time we were able to spend with our family. We love you all so much!
