My Top Five

So over at Holly's blog she did a Top Five (male edition) of celebrities in response to her husband being challenged to make his own top five male edition (pretty funny and I can't wait to see what he came up with). I wasn't challenged to do this but I almost dedicated a whole post to Chris Hemsworth after watching Thor but this sounded like more fun.

In no particular order just a general top five . . .

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
Can you smell what the rock is cooking? this bla-moan (black Samoan–as he refers to himself) went from the ever so cheesy wrestling stage to the big screen and he has really improved his acting. I think I like him for his exaggerated facial expressions.

 Sean Connery(1950's Sean Connery)

The ultimate Mr. Universe in my book (even though he officially placed third) he's even been knighted. But I love him for his James Bond movies and Scottish accent.

Hugh Jackman

Who doesn't love Wolverine?

Chris Hemsworth
Who's top five isn't he on? (well he didn't make Holly's list) The accent, the body, the Thor-ness.

Ryan Reynolds
SOoo Stinking cute. that is all.

But my real crushes and top celebrities in my life are Mr. Gerald Smith and Nolan Rivers

I thought I loved Gerald when I was 14–even claimed I would marry him one day–but I really came to love him back in 2004. And Nolan "I knew I loved you before I met you" (thank you Savage Garden for the perfect words).

That is all I feel like I'm in High School again. I don't want to know Gerald's top five not because of anything silly like being jealous but because I wouldn't agree, I know this because he thinks Rene Zellweger is pretty. blah. squinty. lame.  SO I wouldn't even care to hear the rest.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all!
Here is my mama with my babies
(a few weeks ago)

Aurora has been so sweet she made me a little necklace in primary today. Nolan has been perfect as usual and he looked like a total dream today.

Mother's Day for me has been more like Mother's weekend. I don't work for BYU anymore so I had this weekend free with Gerald and my babies. We went and saw Thor on Saturday and then took the kids to the BYU baseball game (we met up with Bryce and Ali). Then I had Zupas with some ladies. Gerald got me Harry Potter Legos! I love Legos and I spent some time putting together Hagrid's Hut last night. I told Gerald I would take Legos over flowers from him any day.
At church they had chocolate fountains and fruits, cakes, brownies and some many great things to dip. I think that is an awesome way to spend relief society.

1.38 to 3.04

1.38 was my GPA after my first semester of college. embarrassing I know. I have a lot of excuses, home sickness, broken heart, and a brother in a lot of trouble but mostly I was too stubborn. I didn't drop a 4 credit calculus class. I know I should have but I thought if I drop it it will throw my graduating off a whole year! HAHA. I was ill prepared for it and couldn't hack it. I also made a few C's that semester too. But Taking that class made me realize i didn't and probably couldn't be a mechanical engineer. I found Landscape managment and started taking classes I liked and I brought my GPA up a lot the next semester.

After a 3 year hiatus from school I went back. I was petrified I wouldn't be able to do it–not being in the habit of school for 3 years, I had 8 month old Aurora and 2 jobs–but I did well my first semester back.

I had a few goals when I came back to school:
1. stay out of debt
2. graduate
3. graduate with a 3.0

I am pleased to say I was able to complete them all. I had amazing professors who helped me find scholarships and who were very understanding when I would bring my child to class. I honestly don't think I could have done this at any other university.
